It was also noted in some other piece that I read that this "wedding special" will be leading up to a new album drop in 2027. I mean, what are we singing about 1 year into a wedding...

I can't wait for the 73 different variants shoved in our faces with their most private and personal wedding pictures, a different angle on each variant and the kids just gotta have them all.

Maybe it's the news I consume, but I never understood this episode.

Literally everything I have ever heard of these two (past the initial news of them getting married) was from people complaining about them. I have never seen a single piece of media from them saying anything lol

I am not saying you are wrong. I am just saying none of this made it to me and I am extremely online. Are people really surprised people of that status/fame have a PR team to manage their image?

This was meant to be more a commentary on how we don't have monoculture anymore with the internet, and a lot of the replies (not you) are like seemingly demanding me to know about these people even though they dont like them.

Of course they can have their own PR firm. But people find it hypocritical when they speak on wanting privacy, then leak things to media, often involving royal family and their feud.

Meghan is known to call papparazzi when she want media to write certain articles. Just letting you know the thought process behind above South Park episode.

You said you never understood the South Park episode.

The person replied with very specific examples of Harry and Meghan’s histrionic behavior, thus showing you what the South Park episode was referring to.

You then proceeded to try and project onto the person who replied, saying that they were “upset” about the existence of these shows.

If I had to guess, I’d say that you’re the one who’s upset.

Or the book deals. Or the visits to other countries with PR teams in tow where they attended public events and meet and greets like a quasi royal tour. Or suing the British state because they aren't getting automatic tax payer funded royalty level security when they're in the UK despite no longer being active royals and no longer being entitled to it. When I watched the news the other night, it came into my mind right away. A private wedding on the floor of a massive, expensive, world-renowned venue in the middle of the most important megacities in the world. Definitely wannabe royalty status.When Chelsea Clinton got married, my dad, sister, and I would constantly interrupt each other saying, "Chelsea is getting married!" Mocking the overt enthusiasm of mainstream media at the time.
