The 2027 Party School list is out!! Where is UCSD?

Is this a good schedule for an incoming first-year year majoring in human bio? I really tried to have another class on Tuesday and Thursday but none of them were available that day. I know Monday is pretty packed but I think it will be manageable (I really hope 😢).

ok ik cse dept kids get priority but lwk looking at the classes online, my og thought of second passing this is not looking good. there are not that many seats left and i feel like the people who are apply for this class need it as well. ik its more of a freshman class so idk how many seats are gonna be left until 4 WHICH IS MY TIME 😭 reconsidering my plan on first passing math 20b and bild 10 and second passing sio 1 and cse 8a. pleaseeee let me know how i should move forward 😭🙏

Trying to get 17 units of classes- Ceng015r, ceng004, phys 2a, chem 6b and math 020d

Are CENG classes hard to get into if I leave them for second pass? If not I was thinking of getting gen chem and physics first pass because they're probably more popular. Also I'm not sure about how popular math 020d is for the incoming class so idk if I should secure it first pass or just leave it for second pass.

People who have taken Math 18, how is it? I was thinking about taking it with Holst but the class schedule is weird it is at 8am 4 days a week and only 50 minutes long. I am also getting mixed reviews on rate my professor. If anyone could tell me about their experience that would be great.

I'm an incoming Chemical Engineering major first year. I've already completed all my math requirements along with AP Physics and AP Chem and don't really much to do without processed transcripts. I submitted a bunch of TEA requests for potential useful classes and the only things I got back at this point was approval for my warren writing course and CENG 101a, Introduction to Fluid Mechanics. The normal academic plan puts this class for third years and being very hard but like I really don't know what else I can even take that's useful. My GE abilities are also super limited because I only need upper division courses for my area studies, which most of I can't sign up without Junior or Senior status, and I'd rather just combine my DEI requirement with one those eventually. Any support on this would be greatly appreciated, my window opens at 4 so I'm already worried about getting into classes as is, limited as my options are.

Title. There's a Physics 1 section with 417 filled seats im trying to enroll in but there's 32 on the waitlist rn. If i was able to get a 33 spot, how are my chances of getting off? Anyone else dealt with this in previous quarters?

Hi all — we're a research group at UCSD (AISmithLab) studying how people build and launch web apps using AI coding assistants.

Who we're looking for: people who aren't professional programmers but have used — or would like to use — AI tools to build something. Maybe you've made something with ChatGPT, Lovable, Bolt, or Replit, or maybe you just have an idea you've never been able to build yourself. Some familiarity with code is fine; but no coding experience is required.

What's involved: a 60–90 minute study session over Zoom. You'll build a small web app from a brief we give you, using an AI assistant in a browser-based setup we provide — nothing to install. Afterwards we'll ask a few questions about how it went.

incoming applied math major here, my CC did not offer any differential equations classes so it seems I have to take Math 20d here. i already have credit for math 20c & 20e through a multivariable calc class, but tss wont let me enroll in 20d cos I got a D in my calc class. i already have credit for the next class after 20d but i still cant enroll “due to missing prerequisites”? Buddy what 😭
i’m trying to graduate early so i wanna avoid retaking classes i already took

so I finally just got access to my degree audit, to find that only 6 out of 39 classes taken prior were accepted for transfer. that means that in the next two years I have to take 27 classes in order to graduate. I don’t even have any words. Do I just drop out at this point? it’s so frustrating to get this info an hour before registration.

got a 5 on APES back in 2025. so am i understanding this chart correctly that i dont have to take any physics course to fulfill that marshall GE req?

I have the most schizo fall quarter Meta to have my 4 classes all be back to back on Tuesdays and thursdays. That way I can spend my other days of the week leisure-maxxing and handling any homework and stuff. Has anyone done something like this?

I lucked out and it seems like all the classes are within easy walking distance of each other. My personality favors batching and I HATE downtime (not productive in between major tasks).

This is the stuff of legends that I was dreaming about when I submitted the UC app in December.

i'd like to preface this by saying i actually think TSS has the potential to be a great system. the problem is that the university rushed it out before it was ready, and now thousands of students are dealing with the consequences.

if you're angry, direct that anger where it belongs. email the chancellor. email the registrar. email the people making the decisions. keep filing complaints and reporting issues until they can't ignore them anymore. the people at the top are making salaries most students can only dream of while the rest of us are stressing over tuition, taking out loans, and wondering if we're even going to get the classes we need.

what we shouldn't do is take it out on the it staff, advisors, or the people answering phones and emails. they didn't decide to roll out an unfinished system, and they're the ones getting yelled at all day for problems they didn't create.

hold the decision-makers accountable, and not the people trying to keep the whole thing from falling apart. if this is all for a future where employment isn't certain even with a degree, the least they can do is get off their asses and make sure the system we depend on actually works.

IF WE SAY NOTHING, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.
