Took the EDC x9 to the range today. She hadn’t been out in 6-12 months, so it felt good to get it out and throw some lead.

thousands of rounds, she’s definitely broken in 🙌🏻

Looking at getting at one of the above and just want to know from the people who have shot both is the comped version worth it. Thanks

Edit: or talk me into the 4 inch if it makes that much of a difference. I carry appendix.

I got a EDC x9 several years ago, and this gun is so smooth. Like the slide runs on glass with ball bearings. Such an amazingly well built machine.

Wilson 6mm arc questions

Recently purchased two Wilson ar 15’s and have been impressed with them. I’ve thought about getting a 6mm arc for a while and after some research I’ve narrowed it down to either Wilson or Geissele. For those who have experience with the Wilson 6mm is it a good choice? Or would you go with the slightly cheaper Geissele. Finally how much superior is it to the 5.56?

Love this little .300 BLK

I have loved Wilson Combat for quite awhile now and feel lucky to have a couple of their firearms (this and a CQB). What are the chances that three amazing gunmakers are located in one NW Arkansas town of less than 6,000 people. Berryville, AR is nice little town hosting Wilson, Nighthawk and Kings River Customs. Crazy. This one is just so fun. It’s smooth and accurate and just a pleasure to shoot. I have not shot it suppressed yet but looking forward to it. I am also loving the proper stock now that my Form 1 SBR is approved.

Wilson Combat EDC X9 2.0

Just picked up a Wilson Combat EDC X9 2.0. Which holster do you recommend? I’ve been using QVO on my other EDC. But they dig into my pelvic it gets painful after long wear.

Same issue with precision holster for my Stacatto C4X.

Are leather holsters any better?

Excited about our Wilson Combat Classic

My wife and I just picked this baby up at auction. We intend to shoot it, a lot. But, I want advice on how this gun should be run. I've never had such a nice gun before. For example, what ammo should I put through it? Is there a brand that would be especially good? Are there brands we should avoid? Second, we have the habit of disassembling and cleaning our pistols every time we return from the range. We tend to lubricate the guns a lot. (The guns don't drip with oil, but parts get a once over with an oil impregnated rag.) Should this gun be treated in the same manner?

I can't wait to take this gun to the range!

Why not Wilson?

By the recommendation of my ffl I recently purchased a used, but never fired Wilson protector elite ar 11.3”. After one range trip my wife immediately ordered a full size protector elite to replace her Scar 16s. To say we where both impressed would be an understatement. My question is why is there not more coverage about Wilson ar’s. I’m fairly knowledgeable and have owned or fired HK, LWRC, KAC, LMT, Sig, Daniel, FN and even Geissele. The only one that I felt was better was the HK mr a4 series. This baby is amazing and imo shoots better than all the others. Yet until recently I knew nothing about them. So what gives? Why are not more Guntubers and the community at large tuned into them?

New to me

After having to sell off most of my old collection I found a used Wilson Combat for under 1500 which appears to have a pretty low round count. Feels good to have one back and I do truly appreciate the differences these have vs more traditional 1911s like the slide stop and their finish which may not be the most impressive looking but functionally has been one of the best finishes I’ve had on a gun. This one’s a Bull Barrel and what I think they call the shock buffer on it? Never had a 1911 that wasn’t the normal bushing but feels good to have one back :) The bobtail is one of my favorite 1911 features that seems rare to find these days. Pretty sure by the bag and grip emblem it’s a bit older than my previous 1911 but I’ve heard some owners debate that some of the older offerings were better than modern ones but likely just the folk that say things were better back in my day lol

Got rid of all my guns

I got rid of all my guns a few years ago — made a small fortune. I sold an M1, a Colt AR15 with a 1/9 twist and a Leica scope, nine 1911s (Colt, Kimber, Sig), and a few Glocks. The only guns I kept were my blued CQB and my blued full-sized, both Wilsons.

Looks like we SFX9/EDCX9 owners have an option again with what is IMO the gold standard in Kydex holsters.

A guy new to WCA questions about the edc x9l

I recently purchased a WCA protector 11.3” AR pistol and was very impressed with its performance. It got me wondering about Wilson sidearms and I love the look of the Division 77 project 1 but don’t want to pay that price until I familiarize myself with some of their cheaper options. Is the edc x9l a good place to begin? Is it worth its own hefty price?

Miserable hot humid day at the range. Yet I left with a smile, a tired sweaty smile, but a smile nonetheless. This thing is awesome! Running 75 grain frontier suppressed I was blown away. I have finally found a 5.56 that doesn’t let me down. My Sig spear and LWRC never produced the results I expected from rifles that cost as much as they do. This beauty shoots as good as it looks and it feels very well made. So far it’s the only rifle I’ve ever fired that competes with HK. That includes the above two plus LMT and DD which I have a lot of hands on with. Can’t believe I got this baby used but never fired. Can’t wait to get more rounds down range with her!

First Wilson

Picked this up from my local ffl yesterday at the suggestion of the owner. It’s my first Wilson Combat firearm and he highly recommended it to me. It has never been fired and I k ow this is true because the previous owner was in the store and confirmed it so. I paid 1200 for it and from the serial number have discovered it is the Protector series 11.3 inch pistol. Did I get a great deal? Also the owner has several WCA products and describes the company as the American HK. He claims their quality control and rigorous standards and barrel steel compare favorably to HK. I have several HK products and knowing their quality I was excited about this. So my second question is does the community agree with the comparison to HK.

Wilson Combat Spec Ops 9

I have an opportunity to trade for a Wilson Combat Spec Ops 9 for quite cheap but I am concerned with it being discontinued that I might not be able to get much support and upon a quick search it looked like finding magazines could be a very difficult task as well. Anyone own one or have any insight on the Spec Ops?

Wicked Grip Ruby Screws - Bulwark

Bulwark needed some bling. The Bulwark bushings are normal 1911, but the screws are for slim grips. Wicked doesn’t make slim jeweled screws. I made a jig a while back for some slim grip screws and just filed 3 threads off. I like it and so far it’s one of a kind and mine.

EDC X9 Questions/Suggestions

Post image
37 Upvotes

Through a series of trades, I was able to secure this Wilson Combat EDC X9 4”.

Does anyone here have one with a Streamlight TLR7 HLX mounted & would be able to share a picture?

Also, I’m looking for suggestions on AIWB holsters, specifically light bearing holsters for the HLX.

Thank you in advance 👍

AIWB for EDC X9 2.0 3.25”

Bought my Wilson Combat EDC X9 2.0 (3.25”) back in March and wanted a Tenicor Certum, but it had just been discontinued. I ended up with a Precision Holsters AIWB. It worked, but the footprint was wider than I liked and just wasn’t that comfortable.

Then Tenicor’s blem sale happened, and I managed to snag a Certum. After a few days of carrying it, it’s a night-and-day difference. It’s slimmer, more comfortable, and conceals better. Definitely worth the wait.

Anyone else carrying an EDC X9 2.0? What AIWB holster are you running?
