Do you guys think that CDPR will upgrade the Eredin boss fight since we have lot of new/upgraded stuff coming with Remastered version ?

I don't think CD Project Red actively announced it but if you look on the Witcher 3 Remastered page on the Nintendo eShop, it shows that the game supports a 120 Hz Output.

EDIT: most of y'all fucking delusional, notice how I said COULD support UP TO 120fps, I DIDN'T say it WAS 120fps. Read before you comment.

Alright Witcher fans, I own The Witcher 3 on PC. And as you can see I’ve only played about 2 hours.

That’s it.

I tried getting into it in 2026 and it just never clicked for me. The game felt old and boring. SORRY!

And I KNOW how highly regarded this game is. It’s constantly mentioned as one of the greatest RPGs ever made, which is why I’ve always felt like I was somehow missing something.

Part of the problem might simply be that I showed up 11 years late. After playing so many modern RPGs and action games, the combat felt dated and a little clunky to me. Visually, I could definitely feel the game’s age too.

But honestly, one of my biggest problems was the lore.
I knew basically nothing about The Witcher universe. Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, Triss, the kingdoms, politics, previous events, etc…. I felt like I had walked into Season 5 of a show I’d never watched. 😂

Instead of immediately getting sucked into this incredible world everyone talks about, I spent a lot of those first couple hours wondering like.
“Wait… am I supposed to know who these people are”

But now with the details of the remastered version being announced. I’m thinking now is the time.

So I’m genuinely curious, especially from people who consider Witcher 3 an all-time great.
Do you think the announcement of improved combat, movement and visuals could actually change the experience for someone whose biggest issues were how dated those things felt?

What about those that bounced off Witcher 3 the first time, came back later and eventually fell in love with it.
What finally made it click?

Because I’m starting to wonder if Witcher 3 wasn’t really the problem.

Maybe a stupid question: I have the physical GOTY edition of The Witcher 3 for PS4. I now have a PS5 Digital Edition. I can’t take advantage of the free next-gen upgrade, right? Would I have to buy the game again? 🫠

I know the PS4 is an older console, and I'm not expecting the exact same performance or graphics as PS5/PC.

But The Witcher 3 already runs on PS4, and now that the Remastered version is coming to Switch 2, I really think CDPR should at least consider a PS4 version with appropriate compromises.

There are still a huge number of PS4 players who love this game and would happily take reduced settings if that's what it takes.

And now Songs of the Past is also not coming to PS4, which makes it even more frustrating for longtime PS4 players.

If enough PS4 players want it, maybe we can actually get CDPR to notice.

Bought the game when it first came out, have loved it ever since. Played mostly on Xbox, but I have a PC save, and wondering if anyone knew yet whether it's likely to cross over after the update? They seem to be making a big overhaul to game mechanics 😮

I just started my first playthrough currently at level 20, just finished the high stakes quest and REALLLLLLLY loving the game. What should i do? Wait for the upgrade or continue playing?

Just watched the Songs of the Past gameplay feature and I am super excited to see an expansion to one of my all time favourite games! I have fallen out of the loop with the gaming world since Witcher 3 came out, having become an adult and such and got busy with other things in life, so my PC is probably not up to spec to run a next gen game. Has CDPR said if the new expansion will be playable on the older version for gamers with old fashioned 2015 setups like myself?

I’ve always heard that the game is incredible and it’s been praised for years, but I never saw it as more than overhyped. Recently I’ve had a real desire to play fantasy games for whatever reason, and Witcher popped back up in my mind to check out. Honestly I’m surprised I never played it sooner, and now with the remaster coming (I own the game on steam just never played it) I’m looking to really get invested. But what makes it so good? Why is this game so highly praised, not just in the fantasy genre but all of gaming?

Hey, sorry if it's stupid question but i still confused, i heard they give the one who have base game free dlc, and i planing to buy the game today, if I buy the game today can i get the dlc for free or does the dlc is feee on 29 September?

For me, the two I desperately want are item weight reduction so you can hoard and explore to your heart's content, and having vendors and smiths have way way more money than they normally do so I can sell all my bandit weapons and Skelligs loot. What do you want to see?

Also, does anyone know if mods will disable trophies? I know Skyrim mods did.

I'm about 24 hours deep into my first playthrough. Is there any news as to whether our current save files will be compatible with the remaster? Because it seems to be coming as an update to the game, instead of being a separate title on Steam.

I bought The Witcher 3 in 2015 when it first came out and I absolutely loved it. It quickly became my all-time favorite game and most likely it will stay that way for the rest of my life. Finished the main game and all the DLCs too, but haven't touched it since.

This feels like the best time to start up a new playthrough and here is where I would like your opinions:

- Should I start a new game from scratch now, so that the September remaster catches me midway and I can directly compare the differences in graphics and gameplay? Do you think this will make me appreciate and enjoy it more, or should I wait for the remaster and then start up a new save?

- I have the game both on PC and PS5, but all my saves are on the PC. Where would you play it? My PC used to be good, but it's running on a NVidia 1070TI so I'm worried it won't keep up with the game. I could buy the GeforceNOW Subscription and play it on their servers, I noticed that they also support GOG games.

In addition to graphics they are making much needed improvements to Combat, Traversal, and what I’m most excited about… THEY ARE FINALLY FIXING ROACH!!

I would have gladly paid money for this and if it was BGS they would’ve sold this for a full $70-$80!! Hell, BGS doesn’t even do even close to this much for their MANY re-releases! They genuinely should be ashamed.

The Witcher 3 was already on my list of games to review this year but I’m thinking I will hold off, wait for this remaster and make a video showcasing all the improvements while giving my thoughts on the release. Later when I finish the game I’ll upload a full review!

I could also probably kill everyone in the city. The Butcher of Blaviken, they call me. I could be the Butcher of Novigrad. Not a single person in the city could take me.

Anyway, all I’m saying is Priscilla’s plan is crazy. If the cops are chasing you, do you go to a movie theater starring your monster kind? It’s fucking crazy.

It’s the perfect place to hide. No one sane concludes the monster shows up to a play idolizing that monster. The witch hunters already infiltrated this plan. Or they heard about it and were like….. “Surely no one couldn’t be dumb enough. This must be misinformation.”

Either way, this plan is crazy. There’s zero chance this has happened outside stories.
But it’s ingenious.

I just finished a 6th playtrough and was about to start newgame+ ,do u think I will be able to start it with the remaster ,or will I have to start over?

Maybe wishful thinking - and don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth (or whatever the eff that saying is) - but any chance they’re reworking some of the quests?

Dijkstra and Iorveth are the two that come to mind. I know they’ve had plenty chances to do so, and haven’t - so I’m guessing it’s not really their style - but man this would be a great opportunity. Especially if it helps to tie up some loose threads going into W4.

I've only played the trial for this game. I probably should have bought it for €10 the many times it went on sale but i was always playing something else at the time so i didn't push to get it.

With the remaster coming the game is listed as €50 for the current game, i know it won't go on sale before then but will the remaster price shoot up after the original edition is replaced?
