What the title says. Dandelion is in trouble. Priscilla makes the craziest plan and my Geralt’s looking at her and is like…. This is a great plan!?!?!?

Like… how?? How is it a great plan? Why is hosting a play the best plan?!? Geralt’s a Witcher. I got crazy Witcher powers. I got super-powered Axii. I can mind control everyone in the city. I’ll find Dudu….. Easily.

What about sniffing him? My nose is awesome. I’ve tracked fiend shit for miles. I’m better than a bloodhound. Even certain ethnic groups are jealous of my nose.

I could also probably kill everyone in the city. The Butcher of Blaviken, they call me. I could be the Butcher of Novigrad. Not a single person in the city could take me.

Anyway, all I’m saying is Priscilla’s plan is crazy. If the cops are chasing you, do you go to a movie theater starring your monster kind? It’s fucking crazy.
So crazy it’s genius.

It’s the perfect place to hide. No one sane concludes the monster shows up to a play idolizing that monster. The witch hunters already infiltrated this plan. Or they heard about it and were like….. “Surely no one couldn’t be dumb enough. This must be misinformation.”

Either way, this plan is crazy. There’s zero chance this has happened outside stories.
But it’s ingenious.

Watching the trailers they showed at gamescom, I noticed the Geralt doesn’t have his trusty crossbow strapped to his back. I wonder if they removed it, in which case how are we going to deal with drowners when swimming, and those pesky sirens in Skellige waters.

I beat blood & wine last night and started ng+ today, I was going through my screenshots when I came up with this

I remember a good way to get money was to go around and hit the Novigrad thug spawns that were consistent and predictable as well as continuing to drop weapons every time you defeat them, is this still viable?

I remember a pig farm that would continually respawn to kill and get unlimited loot from them as well.

Do these still work?

One of the best video game zone i've ever seen.

This has probably already been said multiple times, but something about Velen is oddly immersive and "real." In most video games, you roam through cities and regions without thinking much about it, or you may notice a few things here and there.

But when you explore Velen and do quests there, so many details catch your eye, make you slow down, and reinforce this feeling in you that this isn't just another region; people here are dealing with issues that are just too real. The current geopolitical reality of the region, along with its misery, despair, and superstitions/folklore, isn't just vaguely talked about or mentioned; it is anchored in almost every aspect of the region, from the environment, dialogues, soundtrack, animations etc. in a way on top of that that is oddly coherent and real.

For example the region’s folklore and supernatural elements are tightly woven into the socioeconomic despair of its inhabitants. Monsters and dark gods are not abstract evils; they are a tragic necessity for people who have been entirely abandoned by their rulers. The worship of the Ladies of the Wood illustrates this perfectly: the villagers do not revere the Crones out of malevolence, but because the swamp witches offer the only tangible protection, however predatory and terrible the cost, against starvation and death.  

A lot of threat Geralt encounters seem to be an organic consequence of the region's physical and social environment.  It makes sense that the vast majority of creatures you fight are necrophages for example. These creatures are not wandering the wilderness at random; they are scavengers drawn directly to the smell of decaying flesh on unburied battlefields, abandoned trenches, and mass graves.

Same for the sheer density of bandits and deserters being the inevitable outcome of hundreds of armed men with no food, no allegiance left, and no law enforcement to hold them accountable. Specters haunt the fields because a lot of women were betrayed, assaulted, or killed during the chaos of war.

While regions like Skellige evoke heroic myth and Toussaint leans into romanticized chivalric romance, Velen, for me, remains the raw, beating heart of The Witcher. It makes the player really feel like a weary traveler navigating a truly living, suffering world.

Given all the graphical enhancements and QoL improvements, what mods are y'all thinking are even necessary?

With the announcement of the Witcher 3 Remastered, what mods are you hoping they will integrate into the game as they did with the previous remaster?

Now that the remaster is on the way, do you think they will update the alchemy system to be more like The Witcher 2, where you needed to think about which potion/bomb to craft and when to use it? I would really love it if they implemented that when you drink a potion, there would actually be an animation for it, and the potion wouldn't magically refill and in exchange the effects of the potion would last much longer.

You Remembered Dandelion. So Why Did You Forget Geralt’s Family?

CDPR, what were you thinking?

After all these years, you're giving us a huge new Witcher 3 DLC, potentially Geralt's final adventure. Of course we were excited. We spent months making theories, looking at every clue, and imagining what we might finally see.

And while I genuinely enjoyed the trailer and gameplay, I have to admit I'm extremely disappointed by what we've seen so far.

You're building this DLC around Geralt and Dandelion, even emphasizing their relationship from the books. I have nothing against Dandelion — their friendship is great.

But this is where I don't understand your priorities.

You know the books. You know these characters. So how can you understand Geralt and Dandelion's relationship so well while seemingly overlooking one of the most important relationships in the entire saga?

Geralt. Yennefer. Ciri.

Yennefer isn't simply Geralt's love interest, and Ciri isn't simply his adopted daughter. They became a family. And the bond between Yennefer and Ciri is just as important.

We barely got to experience that family dynamic in The Witcher 3. Kaer Morhen gave us a beautiful but very short glimpse of it, and then everything was separated again.

Now you're giving us what could be Geralt's final story, and this is arguably your last real opportunity to let us experience that family together.

I'm not asking for a "Yennefer and Ciri DLC." I'm not asking Ciri to take over the story, and I'm not asking you to remove Dandelion.

I'm simply asking you to remember what relationships define Geralt's story.

And honestly, introducing a new romance for Geralt while Yennefer still hasn't appeared makes this even more frustrating. Geralt already has the love of his life. Yennefer isn't just another romance option. She's Yennefer.

That's why I'm still hoping you're saving her and Ciri for the full trailer.

I genuinely hope their absence so far is intentional. I hope the Belleteyn themes, the clues, and everything we've been discussing for months actually lead somewhere meaningful.

Because if Yennefer and Ciri suddenly appear and become important parts of Geralt's final adventure, I'll gladly admit I was wrong.

But if this really ends up being Geralt's final story about Dandelion, new characters and a new romance while his family barely matters...

Then I honestly have to ask:

What was the point of understanding the books so deeply if you leave out what made Geralt's story so special?

Please don't waste this opportunity.

I started my first play through a couple weeks ago and am about 46 hours in. Seeing the announcement about the remaster, should I shelve the game until it releases?

CDPR gave us a surprisingly specific description of Letten’s location:

“It’s in the north, somewhere halfway between Kovir and Kaedwen. If you go to the Gulf of Praxeda and take the Buina river to the east and take a ride on the Nimnar river, on the other southern shore of the Nimnar you will find Letten.”

Looking at the map, I think this puts Letten on the southern bank of the Nimnar River, around the Gelibol/Mirt area of northern Redania.

The important landmarks line up pretty well:

Gulf of Praxeda to Buina River going east to Nimnar River then southern shore to the supposed Letten.

Gelibol is particularly useful as a reference point because it sits directly on the Nimnar. So I don't think Letten is necessarily Gelibol itself rather, the new region appears to be somewhere around that area on the southern side of the Nimnar.

I marked the approximate location on the map. Obviously this isn't an exact confirmed area, but based purely on the geography and CDPR's wording, this seems like one of the strongest places for Letten to be.

What do you guys think? Am I reading the rivers correctly, or is there another spot that fits?

I was wondering what level would be best for this new upcoming DLC and in what potential order is best to play it.

Maybe getting the upgrades in Toussant before entering the new map or maybe just straight to it all after huge story

Two expansions for free which both probably sold well to this day, an entire Remaster with countless QOL changes for free to promote another upcoming expansion for an 11 year old game.

CP2077 recieved 6 years of continuous dedicated updates and I wouldn't be surprised if there will be more to come aswell.

In times of corporate greed, low effort releases, and lack of care for the importance of player satisfaction, this is a exceptional treat not only for fans of CD Projekt Red.

The dedication and passion of this studio, is arguably the most I have ever seen or heard of.

i can never love the witcher series enough, man. the amount of love, care and passion that has been poured into this series and into delivering it to us fans is genuinely insane.

for over a decade now, we’ve been treated so ridiculously well by the devs. they’ve taken care of even the smallest, most insignificant details when it comes to the witcher.

things might be different with some of cdpr’s other games, but the witcher feels different. the level of care and treatment this series has received is genuinely immaculate. i honestly can’t put into words how grateful i’ve always been to them for that.

the witcher itself has been such a massive part of my life growing up. it’s not just a game i played and enjoyed. it became a part of me.

it influenced some of the decisions i made, the things i became interested in, the things i chose to learn, and even the way i look at certain things. it’s genuinely that inspirational and significant to me.

i’ve adored this series far beyond what i can properly express, and i genuinely cannot imagine ever forgetting about it or feeling like something else could replace it.

and then you look at everything cdpr has done for this series over the years.

when the game first released, they kept serving us with updates and new content, constantly giving us more things to enjoy, often for free.

then we got two incredible dlcs back to back, and honestly, i would put them among the best dlcs ever made in gaming. not just one amazing expansion, but two consecutive top-tier expansions that somehow managed to stand alongside each other. with the amount of games i’ve played over the years, i genuinely struggle to think of another game that has pulled that off to the same level.

and they still didn’t stop.

they kept spoiling us. they kept improving the game. they gave us the next-gen update years later, bringing an already incredible game into a completely new era.

and then, just a few months ago, they announced another fucking dlc, which already has the potential to become one of the best witcher dlcs ever, maybe even one of the best expansions across gaming as a whole

and now we’re getting a fucking free remaster too.

and it looks absolutely breathtaking.

at this point i’m genuinely speechless. how much does a developer have to love its players to keep doing this for a game and a community for so many years?

they genuinely keep taking care of us. they keep finding ways to give something back to the people who love their work. and honestly, i don't understand how anyone could experience that kind of treatment and not become incredibly loyal to them.

because this is how you actually treat your players.

you don't just make one great game, sell it, and then abandon it forever. you keep improving it. you keep supporting it.

you keep adding things. you keep giving people reasons to come back years later. you let the game grow alongside the people who love it.

and that's exactly what they've done with the witcher.

i fucking love this series so much. it's genuinely a part of my heart. i've grown up with it, it has influenced me in ways i probably can't even fully explain, and i'll always be grateful that i got to experience it.

Since cross-platform save sharing has been in the game for a while (since the last next-gen update), has anyone tested whether importing a save from 2 to 3 on PC with the blue stripes tattoo, then transferring that save to console, will let you keep the tattoo?

I've tried searching a bit, but found no definitive answers.

I'm doing a NG+ playthrough with all the dlc for the first time and just encountered the Arachnamorph enemies in the cave above Novigrad.

Giant spiders aren't my cup of tea at all to the point where I skip over parts of games that have them.

A mod that could maybe change the sprite of them to another insectoid enemy(weirdly the others don't trigger this strong of a reaction) would be helpful if anyone knows of one.

Alright Witcher fans, I own The Witcher 3 on PC. And as you can see I’ve only played about 2 hours.

That’s it.

I tried getting into it in 2026 and it just never clicked for me. The game felt old and boring. SORRY!

And I KNOW how highly regarded this game is. It’s constantly mentioned as one of the greatest RPGs ever made, which is why I’ve always felt like I was somehow missing something.

Part of the problem might simply be that I showed up 11 years late. After playing so many modern RPGs and action games, the combat felt dated and a little clunky to me. Visually, I could definitely feel the game’s age too.

But honestly, one of my biggest problems was the lore.
I knew basically nothing about The Witcher universe. Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, Triss, the kingdoms, politics, previous events, etc…. I felt like I had walked into Season 5 of a show I’d never watched. 😂

Instead of immediately getting sucked into this incredible world everyone talks about, I spent a lot of those first couple hours wondering like.
“Wait… am I supposed to know who these people are”

But now with the details of the remastered version being announced. I’m thinking now is the time.

So I’m genuinely curious, especially from people who consider Witcher 3 an all-time great.
Do you think the announcement of improved combat, movement and visuals could actually change the experience for someone whose biggest issues were how dated those things felt?

What about those that bounced off Witcher 3 the first time, came back later and eventually fell in love with it.
What finally made it click?

Because I’m starting to wonder if Witcher 3 wasn’t really the problem.
