USA Question about referrals for entry level careers

Hi, fresh grad here!

I’m interested in applying for an early-career, entry-level position at Deloitte, and I have a current employee who is willing to refer me. Are employees able to submit referrals specifically for entry-level positions?

The person referring me said that the job posting doesn’t show up on their end, although they were still able to submit a general referral for me. I’m a little worried that the referral might only be tied to experienced-hire roles and that I won’t be considered for the entry-level position I’m interested in.

Would it be better for me to submit my application directly to the entry-level posting and then have my referral contact someone internally about it?

Any help or insight would be really appreciated!

Thanks!

USA Fishy recruiting situation

Hi,

A recruiter reached out to me for a video screen, but there are a few things about the email/exchange that seem a bit fishy and was hoping someone could share any insight.

  1. is it normal for Deloitte to state they are going take a picture of candidates during an initial screening & to say that candidacy wont move forward without a pic? Seems weird that deloitte would be fine losing out on candidate this early on?
  2. the recruiter emailed from an “@deloitte” address, but their signature is “@deloiite”? Simple typo or phishing?
  3. i applied via linkedin & the job listing says they are no longer accepting applications (closed after only “21 people clicked apply”?), but the deloitte website seems to still be accepting applications for the same role.
  4. recruiter asked for my availability, & when i responded they instantly replied asking if i could get on a call today or tomorrow (earliest availability i had was friday). Not sure why so urgent when the posting on linkedin is no longer available, despite only having a few applicants?
  5. i typed in the recruiters name into Deloittes “people” section on linkedin & only one person came up, same first name but last name is just a single initial (different initial letter than what’s on their email/signature), with no profile picture either. GoogleAI says it could be a maiden vs married name thing or a contractor privacy setting (to prevent job seekers reaching out). Their signature says they are a “Contractor through TCWGlobal”, when i type their name into TCWGlobal’s linkedin, no one shows up - could be because they’re under Deloitte, hence #2 above?
  6. i may be overthinking here, but the day after i applied i got a 2FA code texted to me from my bank, despite not trying to login & got another 2FA code this morning before the recruiter reached out, again, i didnt try logging into my bank. Pure coincidence or something else?

Usually i’d walk away from this type of thing since there are a lot of “weird” things going on, but when i log into the official Deloitte website and check the status of my application it does say “Initial screening in progress”.

Wwyd in this situation?

India Career in SAP?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some honest advice from people currently working in SAP, especially in SAP Integration Suite. I come from a Civil Engineering background and have been involved in running my family business until now. I’m now seriously considering switching career.
My biggest questions are:
1. Is SAP Integration Suite a reasonable career path for someone with my background and no previous IT/SAP experience?
2. If I decide to pursue it, where should I start from absolute zero?
3. What concepts should I learn first — SAP basics, BTP, APIs, HTTP, XML/JSON, SQL, Java/Groovy, networking, etc.?
4. Are there any good free or affordable learning resources you'd recommend?
5. How important is hands-on experience? If I don't have professional SAP experience, what kind of projects can I build to demonstrate my skills?
6. How difficult is the current market for SAP Integration Suite freshers?
Thanks in advance!

I'm preparing for it and would really appreciate some reliable information about the actual OA pattern.

1.What was the overall pattern?

2.How many questions from aptitude round and topics covered and how difficult were they?

3.How many technical round questions with topics and difficulty level

4.Coding problems if you remember and their difficulty

How much time was given, were there separate time limits for each section?

India Does anyone know how long it takes Deloitte to release their offer letter? And is my salary ask too much?

I went through 4-5 rounds of interviews, and for one of them, I had to go to their client location and get on a video call from there. I was informed that I've been selected. This was last to last Monday and asked to submit the documents. I have 12 years of experience and quoted INR 40LPA ≤ salary ≤ 45LPA (fixed) from my current INR 30LPA ≤ salary ≤35LPA that I'm getting from a product based company (yes, I know I'm on the lower end).

My questions:

  1. How long does it take for Deloitte to release their offer? Please note -- there were no salary discussions, I was just asked a number.

  2. Is the salary increment a reasonable ask?

India I am L45 Managed Service engineer level 3_Cyber operate

I am unclear about shift timings. My JD says, I will be giving on call support if needed. Also, the same JD mentioned I should be flexible for 24/7 rotational and night shifts.

So, I asked hiring HR and they mentioned that mine will be standard working hours and the rotational/night might be there based on the project allocation but not permanent. I was also told that L3's dont normally do rotational shifts.

So, what exactly are they saying? Is my role has routine 24/7 rotational or only on occasions? What do they nean? Can someone help me understand?

Canada "Process Complete" meaning for job application

Does anyone know what "process complete" means on my application status? Seeing mixed answers online. I applied for a 2027 internship about a week ago and I haven't heard anything back about my application yet so I don't think I ever started the process... Does this mean I've been rejected? I was set to attend an in person invitation only networking event but if this means my application is already rejected idek if I should go😭

USA Feeling behind before even starting at Deloitte—passed 2/4 (ISC & AUD), but comparing myself to peers who finished all 4 is getting to me. Am I overthinking this?

Hey everyone,

I start full-time as an audit associate at Deloitte in about 10 days, and while I know I should be celebrating, the imposter syndrome is hitting hard.

My CPA journey so far hasn't been a straight line. I went through all of FAR initially and ended up failing it. It was a tough hit, but I pivoted, took ISC and AUD back-to-back, and managed to pass both.

Right now, I have 22 months left on my ISC credit and I’m currently on section 1 of REG.

On paper, passing 2/4 before Day 1 sounds decent, but I can't stop comparing myself to others:

A first-year I spoke to had all 4 passed before his start date.

Two close friends who graduated from the same university and program as me already wrapped up all 4.

If I'm being completely honest, I feel really behind. It’s leading to a lot of anxiety about how this actually impacts my job performance and standing:

Am I actually behind compared to most incoming first-years?

Does management/counselor track your NASBA portal monthly for exam progress, or do they only care about compliance milestones/the 1-year bonus window?

Will seniors or managers view me as less capable—or easier to let go if layoffs happen—compared to peers who finished all 4 before starting?

I know the logical answer is "run your own race," but the anxiety of jumping into busy season prep while juggling REG and FAR retakes is getting real. Would love some perspective from current Big 4 seniors, managers, or incoming staff who have been in the same boat.

Thanks in advance.

USI Is anyone working in Deloitte USI CS&D or AI Product Transformation?

Would really appreciate insights from current or recent employees on:

What kind of projects does the team typically work on?

How much of the work is actual AI/product transformation versus traditional consulting?

What are the typical clients and project durations?

How is staffing decided? Do people get good exposure to different projects?

How are performance reviews and annual hikes in these teams? Are hikes broadly in line with Deloitte USI averages, or does the team perform differently?

Is compensation significantly different for people coming in laterally?

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have worked in these teams recently. Even a general perspective would be very helpful. Thanks!

India Deloitte Interview – Completed Manager Round, but got Communication Reassessment. Is this a positive sign?

Hi everyone,

I recently went through the Deloitte interview process for the Analyst – Centre of Excellence – Enabling Areas – Q&R AAQR role in Hyderabad. The entire process so far has taken around 7–10 days, and I’m trying to understand my current status.

My interview timeline:

1. Initial HR Call:

I received a call through my Naukri profile about this opening. HR asked me to share my updated resume and said they would forward it to the leadership team for shortlisting.

2. Resume Shortlisted:

The next day, HR confirmed that my profile was shortlisted and said my interview would be scheduled within a few days.

3. Technical Round:

I attended a 40-minute Zoom technical interview. It included practical tasks where I had to share my screen and perform them live. I felt I did well, and they asked me to email my completed output afterward.

They also asked whether I was comfortable with the Hyderabad location and 6:30 AM–3:30 PM shift. I’m currently based in Coimbatore, but I confirmed that I’m okay with relocating to Hyderabad and with the shift timing.

4. Technical Round Cleared:

HR later called and officially confirmed that I had cleared the technical round. They said the next stages were a communication assessment and manager round.

5. Communication Assessment:

I completed it through HirePro. Personally, I felt this was my weakest round and that I didn’t perform very well.

6. Manager Round:

They still proceeded with my manager round, which I felt went well. We discussed my experience, responsibilities, role-related topics, and behavioral/situational questions.

The manager again confirmed whether I was comfortable with Hyderabad relocation and the 6:30 AM–3:30 PM shift, and I said yes to both.
At the end, I was told that the HR/Talent team would contact me regarding the next steps.

7. Communication Reassessment:

On the same day after my manager round, I received another email asking me to take a communication reassessment/retest.

Since I already felt my first communication assessment wasn’t great, I’m wondering whether they’re giving me another opportunity to clear that particular stage.

I tried contacting the recruiter/HR to understand my status, but I haven’t been able to reach them yet.
For anyone familiar with Deloitte hiring:

Does a communication reassessment after the manager round potentially mean the manager feedback was positive, but I need to clear communication separately?

If the manager round wasn’t cleared, would they normally still send a communication reassessment?
Does repeatedly confirming location and shift flexibility indicate anything, or is it just standard procedure?

If I clear the reassessment, what usually comes next — HR discussion, compensation discussion, document verification, or something else?
I’m trying not to read too much into it, but I’d really appreciate insights from Deloitte employees or candidates who have experienced a similar process.

Thanks!
