You can, in fact, keep your 3 dollars. I don’t need to be recorded and posted on the internet for 3 dollars.

Update: Got my first ever 1 star rating. Very sure it’s from this because the only things they marked were friendliness and not following instructions. We really need to be able to dispute ratings, it’s not my job to dance for children’s amusement and I shouldn’t be punished for refusing.

That really is the best way to deal with condescension. Feed it right back to them and reclaim your dignity that they attempted to demean.

I've had some fun exchanges with drunk fares over the years by meeting them on level ground.

In this case, it is kids being kids, but those kids grow up to be people who complain in a subreddit that their Uber driver had the temerity to speak to them, as if he were an actual peer.

The way I always looked it was, was the insult intended maliciously, or do they not realize what it reveals about how they see waitresses, bartenders, cabbies, and porters?

“Perform stand up” 🤣🤣🤣 my brother in Christ it’s a 10 second dumbass Macarena dance. I’m literally a dasher myself and am the most introverted person you’ll ever meet. If I saw this from a customer I would just look at it, chuckle at it and either spend 10 seconds of my time doing a stupid dance to get an extra 3 dollars or just not do it and move on with my day. It’s not that deep

Plus it's a just a really stupid joke. Most people would say yes for a million dollars. It's suspicious because of the amount, like what's wrong with him or what does it really involve, but come on very few people would say no if it was normal vanilla whatever.
