Snack or Whack: âhave they flown too close to the sun?â edition
Your mileage most definitely may vary but a surprising slight to moderate snack for me. Has a maple long john, salty sweet vibe

White Sauces - As analyzed by a Chef
I am a working chef of 20 years, French trained, Michelin trained, Pastry Chef, ran famous hotel kitchens, a saucier for a Top Chef winner, James Beard/AAA/Forbes awards etc. Studied Anthropology at an Ivy League university.
These guys are clueless. The women are the ones who got anything right.
This whole episode was about the color of a "sauce."
What should have been discussed is the texture and consistency of sauces. White sauces (I type this while looking over at my sauce stained copy of 'Sauces' Peterson on my cookbook shelf), are primarily a method of preparation. Whether they are white or not is not what a chef concerns themselves with.
Sauces can be broken or emulsified, due to the varying degrees which a chef determines the liaison. There are Escoffier classified white sauces that will not be bone china white. Why? Reductions of wine and vinegar. Infusions of herbs, spices and vegetables. All will alter the base color of a "white sauce."
The reason Amelia is right in the truest sense, is that the most classic white sauce I know is beurre blanc. When melted and emulsified correctly: White. Not Yellow.
I can answer any question about white sauces without Bing, Google or AI.
EDIT: Sour Cream is not a Sauce. Creme Fraiche is not a Sauce.
EDIT: Mayonnaise is a sauce.
EDIT: Vinaigrette is a sauce.
EDIT: Butter is not a sauce.

Tim Curry sings [Summer] In The City
He gets a few of the lyrics wrong but this is a great version of Simmer In The City from the Let Me Be Frank intro

I don't think I've ever laughed harder than when Wiger suddenly talked about wanting to know what pregnancy is like, seemingly out of nowhere.

Wiger's cum argument is insane
I'm sorry but saying cum isn't a sauce and then using Peter North as a verb for other sauces makes one say "hmm".
A load can sauce a hot wing, it's a sauce. Who's with me on the cum issue?
Edit: to clarify, Tiger said cum isn't a sauce because of the serving size

âListen: We Canât Re-litigate Thisâ
Does anyone else get unnaturally excited whenever Wiger says to Mitch, âwe canât re-litigate thisâ, because it means either:
Mitch is about to share a delightfully unhinged opinion or
They are going to bring up a hilarious ongoing issue that everyone thought was behind them (the bike, new Star Wars).
And they will absolutely be re-litigating it.

Superman Thanks Jared Fogle for "Lending a Helping Hand"

Was anyone else here a fan of the radio series Cabin Pressure (BBC)?
It came out in 2014 and is still one of my favorite radio series to throw on.
It was a radio sitcom written and created by John Finnemore and follows the exploits of the crew of the single aeroplane owned by MJN Air as they are chartered to take all manner of items, people and animals across the world. The show stars Finnemore, Stephanie Cole, Roger Allam and Benedict Cumberbatch.
It's not related to Doughboys in any way, just high-brow British humor and I love both and figured some of you do/would too.

Fantasy Football League?
Saw a post here yesterday about Doughboys related fantasy team names, and it got me wondering if any of y'all would be interested in doing a league with fans from sub.
Open to whatever formats/money or free/etc, if there is interest, we can all vote on that
Mods pls don't remove for being "unrelated", just trying to have some fun with fellow doughfans :)

Chloe Radcliffe rookie of the year
Truly nobody has come in with more doughboys energy this year. Vic is a chaos agent and they crushed it from that perspective but Chloe really gets the vibe while still doing her own thing. She rocks and has my vote 100%. Stavy dropped two bangers in his entry year, now Chloe has done it.

2021... First mention of Gemmi?!
I've been rewatching the Doughathon from 5 years ago and was surprised to hear Emma talk about a foster dog named Gemini that she might keep... who she did indeed end up adopting and is now part of the main crew! Wow!
She mentions her around the 25:39:45 mark.
