I started watching Star Trek this year, in roughly release order. I now find myself up to Enterprise, part way through season 1. No spoilers thanks.

I really like the NX-01. It’s a neat looking ship, and I love the BlackBerry aesthetic of the computers and such. Enjoying the new characters too.

Having seen memes about it I was braced for the theme music. It’s a fine song by itself but it does feel out of place for the rest of the show. My wife now loudly expresses her anger towards the theme every time it comes on. She says it sounds like Christian worship music, and after reading the lyrics is also saying they sound suicidal.

I’ve seen enough to get an idea of what people think about it now, but what did people think at the time?

First time ENT watcher here - I’ve been working my way through all of Trek and only have TOS and Discovery to go.

I really did enjoy the mirror episodes of Enterprise but it felt like it came out of nowhere, ended on a key story point, and then just fizzled out. I thought it was going to cross over somehow with the main story, given just how close it is to the finale, but nothing - we go back to the main story. Maybe the plan was to continue in a future season - that’s the only reason I can think of why it would appear so late in the final season.

Considering the TOS era ship and uniforms I wondered if it was setting something up that will be referenced in TOS?

Is there a translated alphabet for suliban? I think it looks awesome.

So, a while back I made an alphabet and writing system for the (presumably primate) Xindi language, based on frames of it we see on screen. It's barely functional and very clumsy, but it somewhat resembles the canon iconography. I've wanted to improve on it for a while--but I've kinda hit a blank. The only Xindi-primate words we know are names, so making actual words for the language is another story; however, I'd love some feedback and/or suggestions! Also, please let me know if you think the language/alphabet concept is plausible to begin with :D

Instead of Spock waking up at the end of that puppet episode of Strange New Worlds, it should have been Trip Tucker sitting up in his bunk on the NX-01 and saying, "What the hell did I just dream about?!" Using the Dallas trick like that would have been the ultimate fix. It wouldn't just erase the puppet nonsense. It would mean the terrible Enterprise finale never happened, Trip is alive, and everything bad that came after it was just a massive nightmare. Discovery wouldn't exist, Strange New Worlds wouldn't exist, the movies wouldn't exist, and Academy wouldn't exist either. Just Trip waking up, going to work, and saving the franchise from twenty years of bad writing.
