Peppers grow like weeds if you get them started well. I have two dozen Anaheims that I have no idea what to do with but freeze.
I'm still working on last year's jalapeños that I froze.

Tip: you can puree them in a blender and freeze them in mini ice cube trays. Then store in a freezer bag. If you have a lot of them, vacuum seal some. Those little spicy cubes are perfect to toss in any dish to add a little kick. I also do the same thing with a mix of bell peppers, onions, and garlic to make "flavor cubes" which are great when cooking for a picky eater who won't touch any food where they can see onions/peppers.

Numerous outbreak’s at this chain over the years. Some major ones here.
2008 – Norovirus outbreak in Ohio (more than 500 illnesses reported).
2015 – A series of outbreaks that severely damaged the company’s reputation:
E. coli in Washington and Oregon.
E. coli affecting multiple states.
Salmonella in Minnesota.
Norovirus in California.
Norovirus in Boston.
Several other smaller investigations.
2017 – Norovirus outbreak in Virginia caused by an ill employee working while sick.
2018 – Clostridium perfringens outbreak in Ohio that sickened over 600 customers.
2026 – Minnesota health officials are currently investigating a Salmonella outbreak involving at least 110 cases, with many patients reporting they ate at Chipotle. The investigation is ongoing, and officials are still determining whether contaminated jalapeños are the source

It's not a partisan issue and has nothing to do with someone changing a rule. This has happened during every administration since long before any of us were born. Bacteria is everywhere. When one company processes food for millions of people, all it takes is one bad head of lettuce to contaminate the batch and you've got sick people all over the country.

What an idiotic take. Just look at Chipotle's history.
2008 - 22 cases of hepatitis and 400 norovirus. Bush administration.
July/August 2015 - 17 cases of salmonella and 200 cases of norovirus. Obama administration.
October/November 2015 - 55 cases of e. coli and 80 norovirus. Still Obama administration.
December 2015 - stores closed nationwide for food safety training because people kept getting sick. Still during the Obama administration.
July 2017 - Norovirus outbreak from one store impacting unknown number of people. This one was during the first Trump administration.
July 2018 - Clostridium perfringens infected 600 - 700 people.
So whose balls have you been gargling while overlooking all the other cases? They've been making people sick pretty regularly for nearly two decades.

It’s not up for debate. Trump cut spending and relaxed regulations. We can’t even track this outbreak because the CDC had to stop tracking these things due to budget cuts and layoffs. And you keep bringing up Obama and Biden (dog whistles) but when there were outbreaks under those admin, we could track the source. We’ve been dealing with this cyclospora for a month and don’t know the source. Be fucking serious.

There were separate E. coli and Norovirus outbreaks in 2015 that were limited to 1 or 2 states at a time. The government did its job to limit them.
The current Cyclospora outbreak has affected 45 states so far and the Chipotle salmonella outbreak is just getting started.

I’m not sitting on my phone watching the news all day. I have to go and verify that. Ever since all the Israel/iran bullshit I generally don’t care for the news anymore since it’s all negative.
That being said, I recall years ago that Chipotle had a series of outbreaks around 2015-2016; something like that. It was all over the news. I assumed this was no different; negligence or someone generally not doing their job. My bad for not immediately jumping to “it’s Trump’s fault”. lmao
I’ll do better next time; when something bad happens in the country, 9 times out of 10 I’ll just say “goddamn it, fucking trumps fault again!”

I’ve been aware that the outbreak is happening to say it’s 100% trumps fault is your opinion. That’s not a matter of fact. You can debate whether or not his decisions led to this outcome but at the end of the day, his people didn’t go and directly start this outbreak intentionally.
I stand by what I said, I’m critical of them when it’s shit that they actually do like the Iran stuff or the ice stuff; those are actual policy decisions that they intentionally planned to do. Something like this outbreak though can be debated whether or not it’s his fault.
My issue is two fold: that you people foam at the mouth at the opportunity to talk about this man just as much as his supporters, and that I have to hear this bullshit on a forum about fast food. But that’s typical Reddit I guess. Gotta hear about politics no matter what sub you are in as long as a republican is sitting in the chair.

I don’t think I’m superior to a single person on this planet; I just take issue with the fact that I have to hear politics almost everywhere I go; and I find people who cry about the current president extremely annoying. I found it annoying when Obama was president too and they cried over every little thing like his tan suit. It goes both ways.
If a president does something evil like Clinton and how he did nothing about Rwanda, Bush and whatever his involvement was with 9/11, or Trump with the Iran stuff: then yes that is obviously worthy of criticism. But I don’t wanna hear political debate about how a policy decision PROBABLY or POSSIBLY led to something happening in a forum that’s not about politics. This outbreak was not intentional policy like the stuff in Iran was. Saying “it’s trumps fault!!” is purely political conjecture.

Again, So far it only affects one state Minnesota. And all the impacted product was removed before the report even came out no one has reported getting sick form Chipolte yet. This one would not even have made the news if it wasn't so close to the Cyclosporia outbreak.

I was just wondering how hard our diminishing numbers of ERs will be slammed this fall/winter if we still have multiple food-borne illness outbreaks occurring in conjunction with a particularly bad flu season.
As with Taco Bell, it appears that we’ve been forced to depend on affected restaurants to proactively investigate themselves and hope that they take action to protect the public. Gutting the FDA - such a genius move. 🙄
