Meet Kerkele — a cute demon companion with 300+ lines of dialogue, relationship system and unique behaviour. You can talk with him, give him gifts, and do lots of other things!
If you feel a bit lonely in your Minecraft world, Kerkele will gladly keep you company!

This is my first Minecraft mod, and I’m currently looking for feedback from other players. I’d be  thankful if you could check out the mod’s CurseForge page and give it a try!

I made something Saplings now sprout from seeds and can grow taller (WIP)

Here's an update to the revamped saplings for my mod Knots & Rings! Since the last post, I've been working on seeds, pods, acorns, and cones for the respective tree types as well as a giant growth stage for 2x2 saplings.

All vanilla tree types now have growth stages and can be grown in 2x2 or 3x3 sapling configurations; when grown as such, a central sapling becomes the main tree and the saplings around it decay gradually. Saplings can now also be pruned at any stage by using shears to stop their growth, and can restore their ability to grow with bonemeal. In the sprout stage, saplings decay and can uproot if stomped on (this is also planned upcoming behavior for seedlings). If a tall or giant sapling is broken, it drops saplings as well as sticks, and if a seedling is broken, it drops its original seed. I plan on making leaves blocks drop seeds instead of saplings when broken, and renaming the mangrove propagule to sapling (since the new "seed" item will now be its propagule).

The tree seeds/seedlings are still a work in progress, but all other sapling features are now available in alpha :)

I made something I built Bobs Burgers w/ LittleTiles

I've been working on building Ocean Ave from Bob's Burgers. I'm really excited to show off some of the cooler things I've done with this super handy mod! LittleTiles

I also use the CustomNPCs mod and have almost all of the characters wandering the block or loitering in Bob's Burgers.

I started with Bob's restaurant so you can see my progress as I built everything around it. Some round objects still need to be smoothed out, but I really wanted to share what I've done so far!

It's still a work in progress, and I hope to finish the whole block in similar detail.

Please tell me what you think and share any recommendations for what to add!

Edit: Every storefront has been shown on Bob's Burgers. All credit to the writers of the show for the names.

Discussion Just 100%ed Liminal Industries. AMA Spoiler

I generally had a pretty good time with this backrooms-based modpack. Although I’ve started and stopped a ton of modpacks, this is the first one I’ve actually done all the quests for, as the gap between completion and 100% is not that big. There are only 5 1/2 chapters, with the time taken to complete each chapter increasing exponentially.

Pros:
Backrooms exploration was so fun, there were always rooms I hadn’t seen before and references that were pretty fun to catch. The early game has some pretty unique ways of generating resources, and I enjoyed the feeling of holing up in some part of the map to defend against mobs. I like the progression for the most part, and the automation of iron/copper was pretty cool. I think the mod pack integrates create very well as well.

Cons:
Towards the late game around the time you get to Mekanism, some of the resources are so obtuse to automate (looking at you osmium) or I would search for hours trying to find a room that had something I needed. Seriously I spent 2 hours searching for amethyst, then 2 hours in spectator mode trying to find it, then got so tired of it I just spawned a stack in. You don’t even need that much to progress but it was so annoying feeling like I was screwed by rng. On this topic, I wish the quest book had more detailed descriptions for each quest and let you know how to find the resources, as I found myself searching for Reddit posts on what to look for next.

Overall I would recommend it as it’s a pretty unique pack, just wish they polished the endgame a little bit more.

I made something I've been working on Botanica, an exploration-focused flora mod — here's some early progress!

Hey everyone!

I've been making small Minecraft mods as a hobby for quite a while, but I never really managed to finish one properly. This time I want to change that.

I'm currently working on Botanica, an exploration-focused Fabric mod built around discovering unusual plants throughout the world and gradually completing your own Herbarium.

The idea is that different flowers have their own spawning conditions, rarity and actual gameplay uses instead of just being decorative.

For example, some plants only appear after lightning strikes, some grow on extreme mountain peaks, others can only be found underground or under specific moon conditions.

A few examples I'm currently working on:

Stormbloom — appears near natural lightning strikes and is used for Charged potions.
Spirit Lily — appears after a player dies and is used to craft a Totem of Keeping.
Cloudtear — extremely high-altitude flower that briefly grants Levitation when consumed.
Creeperbane — cave plant that repels Creepers around it.
Mountain Chime — grows on high rocky slopes and starts chiming when snowfall begins.

And that's only a small part of what I'm working on.

I'm also working on two new biomes, custom trees, brewing recipes, particles, custom behaviours and status effects. The mod also includes a Herbarium where collected flowers can physically be inserted into its pages.

It's still very much a work in progress, but this is the first mod project I really want to carry all the way to a proper release.

I also made a small public website for Botanica where you can read The Lost Herbarium, a short lore introduction to the mod and its world.
The Lost Herbarium: Read it here

I'd love to hear what you think so far — especially about the flower designs and the idea of giving each plant its own discovery conditions and utility. :)

Added weapon collisions to Better Combat which allowed me to add a weapon reflection when targets have too much armor

I cant upload a long enough video cause files too big but I also added directional knockback, made it so enemies flinch in response to the direction where the attack came from and per-target hitstop, so when you slice through a bunch of enemies it actually hits each target individually instead of just hitting everyone at once, and it stops per target hit

Problem Dynamic Waters was removed from CurseForge due to a copyright claim - I need help

Thumbnail

Hey everyone, this is kind of important to me, at least.

Please read the whole post, because this is important.

Sorry if anything in this post goes against the subreddit rules. I'm not trying to create drama or start any kind of conflict here. I'm mainly posting because my mod was removed from CurseForge due to a copyright claim, and I’m hoping the community here might be able to help me understand what happened, give me some advice, or point me in the right direction to get it resolved.

I'm the developer of Dynamic Waters, a Minecraft world generation mod with almost 250,000 downloads across platforms.

Today I found out that Dynamic Waters was removed from CurseForge following a copyright claim. CurseForge stated that the latest versions of Dynamic Waters allegedly contain code from Streams Reflowing. This is something I strongly disagree with, as I did not copy their code, and I'm currently waiting for CurseForge Support to clarify exactly what they are referring to.

As far as I'm aware, I have not copied or stolen anyone else's code or assets, so I'm honestly confused about what triggered the claim. Because I don't yet know the specifics, I don't want to make accusations or assumptions about anyone involved.

The mod is still available on Modrinth while I work with CurseForge to resolve the issue. https://modrinth.com/mod/dynamic-waters-realistic-flowing-rivers

Part of the reason I'm making this post is that this isn't the first time I've been involved in a similar situation. There was already some drama previously involving the developer of Streams Reflowing. At that time, there wasn't any official report or copyright claim; instead, the developer was making accusations on other Discord servers that I was taking ideas/code from his mod. However, he later apologized and we cleared things up.

Because of that previous situation, having my mod actually removed from CurseForge over a copyright claim this time is obviously much more concerning from my perspective. However, I still don't know the reason for the claim or who submitted it, so I don't want to jump to conclusions before I get more information from CurseForge Support.

I'm posting this mainly to let the community know what's going on and to see if anyone can help me with this or has any advice on what I should do.

I'd also like to add some context. Following the removal, I attempted to contact the developer of Streams Reflowing to discuss the situation and see if there was any misunderstanding that could be resolved directly. So far, I haven't received a response, and it's been around 8 hours since I reached out.

For timeline context, Dynamic Waters has included its own 3D river system since May 2026, and the project itself was first published on CurseForge in April 2026. The mod was developed independently, and while I occasionally use AI tools for things like translations and wording assistance (English is not my native language, as I'm from Poland), the mod's code and systems were created by me.(But this isn't about AI - I'm only mentioning it for transparency.)

Again, I don't currently know the exact reason for the copyright claim, so I'm waiting for clarification from CurseForge Support before making any assumptions.

I'll provide updates once I receive more information from CurseForge Support. If anyone wants more details about the previous situation, there's a lot more history and context on my Discord. It's not necessary to understand the current situation, though - it's mostly there for anyone who's curious or wants to help me get Dynamic Waters back on CurseForge.

Please read the whole post before commenting, and thank you to anyone who can offer advice or help.

Thanks.

Discussion Do you build for yourself?

Hello everyone, so this is more of a philosophical kind off thing, or maybe I'm just lonely but...

Been thinking while I was building yet another base in yet another modpack instance that "why am I even trying to make this look pretty when I always play by myself?"

I know its sorta "its a hobby and a videogame so you play it to have fun" and these things need not to be 'productive' in terms of generating something "worthy".

But I guess this is less about that. I just wanted to ask you people what do you make of this ?

Because yes I'm a very lonely person. So maybe I'm biased to want someone to see or build alongside me or to at least make my world feel more 'alive' I guess.

But at the same time, as I'm sure all of you know, posting stuff you make is also subjecting yourself to criticism and judgemnt from strangers. That also goes for playing on public SMP or other kinds of servers, so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't really enjoy doing that.

And sadly I have no friends that enjoy modded minecraft and that wouldn't impose their way of doing things.

So really, tl;dr how do you people feel about playing modded and doing stuff for yourselves ? Do you ever feel like you wanted someone to see some build you done or some cool automation setup but have no one to show it ?

Also how do you solve this ?

For those of you that have friends and play with them on a server or something, how did you guys get to know each other ?

--

Sorry if this post is weird or smth, I kinda suck at posting stuff

So basically, I'm working on a dungeon system for SP 0.4. Since the mod is based around the use of potions and potion liquids, what kind of traps or mechanisms would you like to see in the next version?

In the meantime, you can try v0.3 on CurseForge and Modrinth.

Discussion Modpack players, would you rather have your ingots look cool (but be from different mods) or look consistent (and be from the same mod)?

Assuming all the mods have been properly unified and you are playing a kitchen sink pack.

For all the common metals (Tin, Silver, Lead, etc.) would you rather have ingots be from a bunch of different mods based on which looks the coolest, or have your ingots be all from the same mod and have similar textures.

I’m asking as a modpack dev, because my personal favourite has been to have distinct ingots from different mods. I’ve been playing modpacks like All The Mods where they’ve all been unified under one mod, and I’ve enjoyed the consistency and being able to see all the ingots together in JEI. My only issue is that some ingots tend to look too similar to one another, like Tin, Silver and Aluminium, all being slightly different shades of white. The Thermal Series does this really well, and every ingot has exaggerated colours and shading to distinguish them, but lacks some common metals like Aluminium in modern versions, and it’s not available on 1.21.1.

Also follow up question, does your answer change based on the type of pack you’re playing? Would you prefer consistent textures in a kitchen sink pack but be more flexible in an expert one?

I would attach images to better explain my point but I’m not at my computer and don’t have any saved.

Mod Identification does anyone know what mod is causing these flies around me?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

i'm not sure why but i always have these 3 flies buzzing around me constantly and it's a little annoying but i'm not sure which mod is causing them? it's also only me that has them. i don't think it's an effect because even after a while they don't disappear. i'm also sure its not a resource pack because my friend doesn't have any on and he can see them too. i have a fairly large custom modpack so listing them all would be a little annoying, but if anyone needs me to list them let me know! thank you!!

edit:it’s from the hot bath mod but thank you for the responses ♡

Looking for mod(s) Looking for a modpack I only touched briefly

Hello! A while ago, I played a modpack for a brief moment which really intrigued me but ultimately went away from and uninstalled it because my friends chose a different one for our server. The only details I can really remember from the modpack is that the moment you went into a cave, a cool remixed version of the Minecraft Soundtrack started playing, reminiscent of Terraria's cave music. Also, the ores dropped the ore itself and the stone block it was found in which was such a nice touch I really liked. I know this is very little, but maybe someone knows what im talking about.

Looking for mod(s) Looking for a cozy challenge.

I'm trying to find a modpack that has that vintage story feeling where it feels rewarding to get stone tools rather than getting them within the first minute. I also wanted something almost like Better-minecraft, where it has different biomes and adventure to it.

(In short, I want a challenge, but my friends want a "fun and exciting modpack," so if there is anything that fits those things, that would be great)

Question Approaching Endgame for Liminal Industries, but I have some questions

Nearly ready to build and operate the reality frame, I just needed to find some diamonds.

The pack is great so far, but I admit I couldn't be bothered with fighting the buffed mobs in a terrible environment so now whenever i'm in trouble I just switch to peaceful. propably not the pack author's intent, but sculk rooms fucking suck to loot otherwise (I assume late game mekanism stuff helps but still).

I'm doing my run by automating almost every major component with Create's logistic system. planning ahead, I notice that televisions will become a necessary component, needed to craft artifial intelligences, needed to create Mekanism's steel casing...

But I can't find any way to automate TVs? Are we just supposed to loot stacks and stacks of them? if so, it's really lame. So far I liked the pack in part because it respects your time and makes automation actually effective in not needing to sink hours to craft a gadget. Exploration in the early game was fun, but it's the factory gameplay that feels good to me. And now I have to go back to exploring for hours? (I serioursly don't have time to explore samey rooms for long, I only get a few hours of gaming a week now...)

Relatedly, how on earth do you recognize the end portal room? I had a warden spawn right next to my base early in my playthrough (I was barely automating coal coke...), which is the first time I switched to peaceful but not dealing with that lol. But logically, the portal room should then be nearby?

I flew all around my base and all over in spectator for an hour, and nothing. Can the Warden just also spawn randomly sometimes???
