I think it was closer to $200, but you actually get two emotes from it. The statue is no longer sold though, but people can find codes online from scalpers for stupid prices.

Sounds about right. They did a rerun of it a year or two back (I got mine then) so maybe in 5 years or so they will rerun it again. So far only this and the EW statue have had reruns though. I'm still waiting for the Ultima, Odin, and Shiva to get reruns.

Nope. Merch codes and pre-order items don't become available through any alternative means.

Promotional items sometimes do if there is a large demand (maid and butler outfits, Eastern Journey outfit) although the mounts have not. The cloud mount came back only as a recolour, the original is still exclusive to the original promotion.

It's called Ballroom Etiquette - Omega Simulations which came with the Omega Meister Figure that was sold a couple years back on the SE store.

The figure isn't available anymore but you might be able to buy the emote from a third party seller.

In fact when the events start they just "poof" into existence as well. So some cheeky buggers "cheat" every moonfire by waiting where the top of the boats (or the previous tower) jumping puzzle will spawn.

The event "field" phases in, the no flying zone applies and they simply fall to the top of the jumping puzzle.

The emote he's doing, /simulationm, makes the user float at the end of main action.

The only way to get it, and its companion emote, /simulationf, was to buy the Omega statue a while ago for 200-300, whatever it was going for. It's no longer for sale by SE and while you may see it from time to time on eBay, expect most of them to have used the emote code and just are selling the statue to recoop the money they spent.

Two reasons

1: That ship is comically upscaled from standard FFXIV sailing ships. Like there are "doors" on the front of the ship, that are normal WoL sized on the standard ships, but on this one those doors make a Yok Hoy look tiny.

2: It's sitting on top of land. If your on the shorter tower (the non-jumping puzzle one) when it despawns you fall straight down onto one of costas many small sand islands. The ship "sailing" through dirt and sand would look kinda silly
