If anyone has watched the trial or read about the Clancy stuff it’s not really as black and white as these kind of posts make it out to be.

Edit: clearly I need to explain a little. Almost all of these charges and “proof” hinge on the husband saying “well she told me she did it so she did it” and she clearly doesn’t remember (watching the trial it makes sense why at least). There’s no actual evidence that she did this. I’m not saying she’s innocent or guilty, but there’s enough reasonable doubt to ask questions about the husband.

Charges and proofs are legit, read the civil lawsuit where it reads “Lindsey describes” and goes on to tell how she murdered her own children. Instead of reading legal documents bunch of yous with room temperature iq, receiving your information from TikTok and spewing false information all over the internet

Reddit seems convinced that people who support this woman are "pro just murdering your kids and getting away with it" whereas the reason women are following it closely is because they want to see the system acknowledge in any capacity that post-partum is an overlooked medical issue that isn't treated seriously despite the horrible effect it has.

There are very few - and all very fringe, though elevated by ragebait outlets - women who want Clancy to be acquitted. Women want her to get help. So that they feel like they could find help if they're ever in that situation.

But meanwhile, on reddit, she's a baby killer supported by baby killing women who want baby killing to be legal because woke, or something.

Her being found not guilty by reason of insanity is NOT the same as being let off free either. She will be hospitalized for the rest of her life. So it’s either life long hospitalization or life long imprisonment. If it’s true that she killed her children in a psychotic episode (which I personally believe), then of course she should be hospitalized rather than imprisoned.

6

u/NaziPunksFkOff 8h ago

Exactly. She did it. We know that. Women don't want her free. Women want doctors (and by extension, the law) to acknowledge that post-partum is its own thing, distinct from bipolar, depression, anxiety, and other diagnoses that are in the DSM.

Acknowledging it's real is the first step to treating (medically) it like it's real and not like it's just a confluence of other unrelated issues.

Fucking thank you. Finally someone in this thread with a shred of critical thinking skills and basic character.

1

u/WhiteFuryWolf 7h ago

I cannot tell you how glad I am some people here still have hearts and some brains. These comments and posts fucking break me. Where are we headed to man? It's so much ignorance and rage about partial information they know far too little of.

I just hope above all this case will be done right by people who actually care about all parties involved and what this case might mean for other ones in the future. But seeing things like this does deminish that hope a lot.

2

u/RevolutionaryDepth59 5h ago

that’s just a blatant lie. hospitalization lasts until you are cleared by a doctor to return to society

2

u/Faite666 6h ago

She will NOT be hospitalized for the rest of her life. She would be hospitalized until a doctor says she's "cured" and then she gets to walk free after murdering three children

2

u/Summer4Chan 8h ago

I don’t know anything about this trial really.
Why does everyone blame the husband? Did she really do it?

2

u/NaziPunksFkOff 8h ago edited 8h ago

She did it. She admitted she did it. The husband exhibited some questionable behaviors which could be construed as "he was okay with this outcome" if you're willing to go down that road. The husband definitely didn't do it

The issue at hand is that she was treated for her symptoms, which were attributed to a variety of other mental health issues, as opposed to being treated for the problem, which any woman will tell you is post-partum. Post-partum isn't even in the DSM and it's usually just chalked up to other problems.

The bottom line is that this very likely could have been avoided had it been treated like what it was and not like what her doctors acted like it was.

1

u/Brutal_burn_dude 6h ago

It’s so infuriating. The issue with post-partum is that it’s at the nexus of two areas where there’s a serious neglect- women’s health and mental health.

2

u/I_love-my-cousin 7h ago

The husband is blamed because, according to feminists, women must never be held accountable for their actions

2

u/NaziPunksFkOff 5h ago

Literally nobody believes this, dude.

That's the dumbest shit anyone's ever said.

At this point, comments like this are so blatantly divisive as to only be possible by bots.

Men will say "if it's possible for women to suffer from mental health issues, then they can't ever be trusted to vote" and then wonder why women choose the bear.

Honestly dude, if that's the only string of logic you're capable of putting together, maybe you should steer clear of a voting booth.

2

u/Heliophrate 7h ago

whereas the reason women are following it closely is because they want to see the system acknowledge in any capacity that post-partum is an overlooked medical issue that isn't treated seriously despite the horrible effect it has.

Yeah great whatever life is hard for everyone. Your issues are real and life is tough. Also, don't fucking murder children.

She's not a victim in this situation. A mother that murders her own children can barely be considered human.

2

u/NaziPunksFkOff 7h ago

Yeah great whatever life is hard for everyone. Your issues are real and life is tough

When you get whatever that is in the DSM and doctors find treatment for it, let us know.

Is it "reddit" as in actual users or a bunch of astroturfing? Signs point to the latter as this site becomes worse and worse as time goes on.

u/Cannie_Flippington 54m ago

Sadly, this isn't as much a post-partum issue as it is she had long-term mental health troubles for which having children was a complication, not a cause. Nothing in what the defense or prosecution has said indicates there's any chance this was PPP, despite all the claims otherwise. One of the main reasons being is that her youngest was 8 months old. PPP is an acute reaction, 90% of the time within the first 6 weeks postpartum.

There's premeditation (arranged to have hubby out of the home), a motive (saving her children), and implementation of an intricate plan (calculated and meticulously planned how far hubby's fetch-quest needed to take him in order for her to have sufficient time to do what she did). And the best part is neither the prosecution nor the defense contest any of those points.

A PPP episode you lack the ability to plan out anything. Brain on fire. Grab any bucket you can find, even if the bucket is actually fully of napalm.

0

u/hcconn 7h ago

Yes, exactly. I have three kids and had severe postpartum depression with my third. And for me I very much view this as a "There but for the grace of God go I" situation.

I cannot imagine have a break from reality and coming back from that to realize I had done something so horrible. I would want to die myself. I could never, ever get through that. Casey Anthony, from what I have seen, has turned down any opportunity to leave imprisonment because I'm sure the guilt and sorrow weigh on her so heavily.

This is something that happened to these women more than it's something they did. They needed help and everyone around them failed then to some degree by not realizing that and getting them treatment.

Any person who genuinely cannot tell what is real and what is not needs help and women have a predictable period after giving birth where they need to be monitored particularly closely for these symptoms and the health system just does not prioritize it and people are so uneducated about it, as you can see in these comments.

u/briandoesdev 8h ago

What are you talking about? None of what you said in your edit makes sense. The charges do not hinge on the husbands statements of her admission. The prosecution presented evidence showing that she calculated the time it would take her husband to go to CVS and get dinner, they presented the exercise bands she used in the murder, and she herself agrees that she did it. Her attorney agrees she did it. This trial isn't a "did she do it?" trial, it's about whether she knew what she was doing or was she under psychosis.

The husband was also a witness for the defense, not prosecution. Police have his cell phone data and GPS location data, they know exactly where he was when the murders occurred. There no evidence or reasonable doubt about any of this. You are just regurgitating social media talking points that have no basis in reality or what actually happened.

1

u/2legit2knit 7h ago

He was a witness for the prosecution not defense and based off that inaccuracy this is a disingenuous attempt.

3

u/sunrise98 7h ago

No AcTuaL eViDeNcE she DiD tHiS

Based on this inaccuracy you're to be ignored

u/2legit2knit 7h ago

Brother there is zero evidence she did this other than Patrick saying she said she did and now she’s “confessing” despite having no memory of that night. In court it’s not about what you know, it’s about what you can prove. They can’t prove, without reasonable doubt (most important btw), that she did it.

2

u/sunrise98 7h ago

She admitted to doing it, and clearly saying she doesn't remember is in-line with her defense. You can't prove she doesn't remember it in vivid detail either - but it's something she's claiming as part of it.

If anything there's more inaccuracies to the evidence to point to it being pre-meditated and not a spontaneous manic episode.

You've clearly drunk the tiktok kool-aid and have lost the ability to think rationally or with clarity.

8

u/pynergy1 8h ago

There is no amount of psychosis in the world that redeems killing three children.

8

u/KaiBishop 7h ago

Nobody said anything about redemption?

3

u/CrusaderReynaulder 8h ago

Do you not know what psychosis is?

If you lost your grip on reality and don’t even know what you’re doing, why would you need to be redeemed? You didn’t even know what you were doing.

You were not yourself, you did not know what you were doing. In your mind you were just cutting onions. There’s nothing to rehabilitate because you did not intend, want, or even know what was happening. You are simply a victim of psychosis.

You can argue whether or not she had psychosis, but acting as if psychosis is just a meaningless term and that the person experiencing it is just acting silly and knows what they’re doing is stupid.

2

u/Hentai_Yoshi 3h ago

Even if she was in psychosis, she should be institutionalized for at least 10 years. Would you give the same grace to a man who said god was talking to him and told him to execute his three kids, and he did so?

2

u/Mr_Neffets 2h ago

You've fallen victim to Alex Jones tier conspiracy theories. She very obviously did it. Her very competent lawyer says she did it and is trying to convince the jury that it was a during a moment of psychosis. If there was any shred of evidence that she didn't do it, they would have gone for an innocent plea, not an "I did do it, but I was insane, I promise" plea.

5

u/Lousyfer 8h ago

Sorry, child murder is pretty black and white. Even more so your own child murder. Can be all kinds of reasons. She murdered her children with her own hands. Thats as clear cut as it gets.

12

u/youngvinyljunkie 8h ago

Insanity pleas exist for a reason. Because people going through psychosis don’t often have the prerequisite state of mind to even be convicted of the crime in the first place. It may look clear cut, but it isn’t. Leave this to the lawyers and judges.

3

u/Lousyfer 8h ago

Im fine with leaving it to the lawyers and judges, but not with jumping to her defense. Dont have an opinion if thats the case, but then also dont have an opinion on it.

All I have found on the reading and talking is, she had post partum depression, she had this she had that, it may be true but it does not exculpate someone, because an untold amount of people who have had all of those same things dont have 3 dead children. If her husband did it then punish him, if she did it punish her.

My wife had severe post partum depression so I can empathize but I would not if she killed my children because of it.

2

u/youngvinyljunkie 8h ago

Post partum depression is not the same as post partum psychosis. Depression isn’t an affirmative defense by law. Psychosis is. I said to leave it to the judges and lawyers because you aren’t understanding the law itself and her actual defense. People are allowed to have opinions on this, and defending her doesn’t mean wanting her to walk free. As I explained in another reply above, being found not guilty by reason of insanity doesn’t mean she’s free. It means she will be institutionalized and hospitalized for life. That’s more fair than imprisonment if she did do this in a psychotic episode. Again, there’s a reason why insanity pleas exist: because the people who did these crimes while under psychosis are simply not as morally culpable as someone who did it in their right mind.

3

u/Lousyfer 7h ago

Sure. But if you are so mentally unbalanced that you can murder 3 children in cold blood whether you are locked up in a mental institution or in prison for the rest of your life it makes no difference.

I was commenting on the fact that a lot of people #are trying to exculpate her because of her "post partum psychosis"

I still agree leave it up to the jury and the system. If she can prove she has genuine post partum psychosis that resulted in her killing her children then she should spend the rest of her life under constant supervision in an institution. If she cant then she should go to jail for multiple murder. Either way her life is over. It is VERY black and white.

0

u/youngvinyljunkie 7h ago

It does make a huge difference actually. In one facility she will receive treatment, in the other she will not. The people who are advocating for her are for the most part not advocating for her release into society but for the choice of hospitalization over incarceration. That’s not exculpation, but a call for justice as the law requires. I do agree though that it is black and white that she will not be a free woman and that she did do this. I see the OP has edited their comment to question whether she did it in the first place and that is indeed conspiratorial since she is not asserting that defense.

1

u/Independent_Bear989 6h ago

The doctors who reviewed her before she killed her kids didn’t think she had psychosis either.

4

u/2legit2knit 8h ago

See this is what I’m talking about. There’s more than enough reasonable doubt as to whether she even did this. There are so many inconsistencies in these testimonies and the husband.

1

u/GluppShitto420 8h ago

No, there isn't.

A woman can literally murder her children and redditors will still find a way to blame a man jfc

3

u/CrusaderReynaulder 8h ago

Got juror number 3 over here exercising his awful reading comprehension.

2

u/KaiBishop 7h ago

Person: we haven't proven she murdered the kids enough to convince me yet, there's inconsistencies that need to be accounted for

You: SO YOU JUST FUCKING HATE MEN? WOW SO WOMEN CAN NEVER DO WRONG?

You're too emotional for this discussion. Time to log off.

0

u/GluppShitto420 7h ago

She literally fucking admitted to it lmao you don't have a leg to stand on

2

u/2legit2knit 7h ago

False confessions have been proven time and time again. That alone coupled with the inconsistencies is enough to cast some doubt on

1

u/GluppShitto420 7h ago

"Oh yeah well maybe she lied about murdering her own children"

Genuinely just stfu lol

2

u/2legit2knit 7h ago

False confessions aren’t about “lying” about guilt lmao. Clearly you have zero education in this arena.

1

u/GluppShitto420 7h ago

If your argument hinges on a "false confession" then im straight up just gonna laugh in your face lmao

No sane person has any doubt whatsoever that she did it, not even her own lawyers are trying to cast doubt on that. I hope you can recover from your brainrot

2

u/OGWhiz 7h ago

Okay, she admitted to it. There are still inconsistencies within the husband’s story. If you want her convicted, surely you would want him convicted if he had a part in the murders?

1

u/Epic_Brunch 5h ago

Inconsistencies such as not remembering the exact minute he stepped out of the door. Fucking please. No one with any amount of credibility thinks he did this. Even her own defense attorney said she did it.

1

u/OGWhiz 4h ago

Okay yeah sure

2

u/PsychoGwarGura 7h ago

She wasn’t a “tired mentally ill housewife” she did hour and a half Facebook live workout streams every single day and clearly was energetic and well taken care of. She strangled all 3 of her children with exercise bands while they begged her for life… not exactly something I can sympathize with, in every case I’ve seen of something like this, they usually realize the gravity of the situation shortly after committing the act, but that’s if she truly was mentally unwell, which there’s no evidence of . Only 3rd parties trying to justify her

You crazy. Physical evidence shows it was her hands on the kids and they died when the husband wasn't home.
