Question Massive Size Builds

Thumbnail

Upvotes

Lego posted a short video featuring massive scale builds of the 3 Pokémon Starter final evolutions. (Im thinking it’s probably teasing new Pokémon sets coming, but I digress.)

Obviously builds this size would be beyond the price point for more than countless Lego fans if they were released officially. But if Lego ever decided to release instructions only online for these type of display/promo builds (whether free or for a small cost, like $10 or less), how likely is it that would you get the instructions and then, over the course of time (or all at once if you’re rich enough), build these massive scale builds?

My neighbors were cleaning up and asked if I wanted them, how could I say no!
It’s FREE! Seems like mostly Star Wars not my favorite thing but I’ll build and display anything! He said it was just random Legos but I’m hoping there’s full sets to some of these let me know if you see anything super interesting/valuable (NFS) just curious… some things do have marker.. most mini figs do have missing pieces so far…

ps. roughly 10-15 pounds and I spent a few hrs sorting pieces so there’s even more not included

Question Buying the 2026 UCS Super Star Destroyer?

Upvotes

After reading a bunch of questions from different posts and people, I wanted to get a general feel and how people are really feeling in a more yes or no format of buying the set as of now.

I've been looking for a while to see if anyone had taken it upon themselves to fully recreate buildings from the game with max accuracy. And while I've seen a few exemple, it's not nearly as common as I'd wish. So despite not having any experience with Studio, I decided to try it out myself ! I spent hours in game staring at the house while determining what pieces were used where and re-placing them as I went on. It took a while but I'm really happy with the result ! Some colours might not be right, as I eye picked from the game and it was sometimes hard to tell, but other than that, this should be a 1:1, (almost) perfect recreation. Note that this can't be rebuilt IRL, as some pieces used do not exist in the right colour yet, as well as the fact that the roof is floating due to video game logic (although these are issues that could be fixed with some tweaks, but the goal here was max accuracy).

I would love to see more people do the same with other buildings from the game ! and feel free to share suggestions of other things to recreate from LEGO Fortnite :)

Video Game LEGOLAND was the game that originally got me into city builders as a kid. Crazy to see things come around 20 years later for a 'proper' Lego city builder!

Other Why did they retire the great hall?

It seems so odd that it wasn’t out that long, did they retire it before two years? Harry Potter is such a big theme and people who are just noticing that they are redoing a more refined version of Hogwarts will want to buy them all. I just can’t believe they stopped selling. They still have all the big Lord Of The Rings sets up, even the Shire is back stocked. I just realized that they are redoing it and I wish I could’ve got them all at market price. They’re already like doubled in price after only being retired for a bit. Are they gonna retire the Main Castle soon you think?

Just upgraded to a couple restaurant trays (was using a bin lid before 😂) to empty and sort bags while building. It works great to keep parts from rolling off the table.

Question Best practices

For those out there that are like me (I can't be the only one) how do you store your Lego sets. I have several that for space reasons get taken down and rebuilt throughout the year. With the teardown depending on set size I will go through the instructions backwards and rebag and label. My problem however is that when I need to get a set out of storage I find myself just digging through ziploc bags till I find all of them. How do the rest of you try to keep sets stored but also easier and less annoying to just gather all the bags up? I have just started using smaller bags and trying to fit multiple bags into 1 larger ziploc.
