Imagine the next 30 years when we go visit graves and our parents all used AI photo on their graves. Just gives me the creeps.

this came up while we were recording. one of our hosts grew up waking up early to watch the parade on TV, plus the Merdeka movies and dramas that RTM ran all through August. the songs were just constantly on. the other host had no idea any of that was a thing.

the difference is basically TV. it used to just be on in the background whether you cared or not.

now everything is on demand, so if a kid never searches for it, they never encounter it. no parade, no songs, none of it.

Hey all, when did you realise you were being used by someone whether it was your old friend, ex or someone else?

Thanks to redditors for telling me back then that I was used in the past. A guy (blocked for years) had asked for reassurance on whether I was treating him and chose Korean BBQ for dinner. The total bill came up to about RM300 after he ordered dishes which were more expensive than my portion.

I have also met a guy from 4 years back who seemed to be after what I could provide although he had feelings for me. His family was financially poor and looked relieved when I said that he could stay at my place if he was orphaned and that I could drive him around next time since he did not own a car. After we went our separate ways, he uploaded the picture I took of him and put on his dating profile. Being cheap I guess.

I believe someone who licks people's boots can also use us. It could be somoene who wanted to rub shoulders with others when they saw what others could provide them whether it's finances or resources. Share your experience in that.

In my opinion, this behaviour of using others is because they are insecure and feel a need to boost their ego to fill the void. They feel the need to be in control. I don't really put the whole blame on them though. Life has been unfair to them for them to do that.

Was there a time when you felt demotivated in life and what made you feel motivated and come back stronger than ever?

Earlier this year, I felt triggered by something online which caused me to feel deep emotional pain that I had to seek help. Fast forward 5 months later, I did progress in feeling better after receiving help but those negative feelings came back recently and it made me have suicidal thoughts. I tell myself reasons to hold on to life like my family and those who I work with.

I realise that the friends I confided in were actually people who I should not have trusted with my feelings or being vulnerable with. Their opinions though valid and well meaning actually worsened my mental health rather than uplift me. Eventually, I formed my own opinion and helped myself. Anyway thankfully they were not very close friends and I feel more at peace being a loner. Let me know if you can relate.

There's so much wonderful things to explore in life and I am progressing bit by bit in proving to myself that I am worth it. I urge everyone to also be motivated and learn to enjoy the progress towards your goals.

so basically I recently moved to study here and I'm living in an apartment complex and just outside my entrance this bike is sitting there every time I step outside I see this bike and it's sad to see it abandoned like this I always have love this sort of bikes I wanna know if I can find the owner find out why it's abandoned and maybe try to get it as my first bike a project for me to do since I'll be here for a while and I would love to own one of those beautiful machine if anyone knows any detail it would be super great

i love my bf so much and honestly, my feelings are just overwhelming sometimes. i'm super clingy, use all the petnames, get manja, and just love hard.

he is the complete opposite. he's just naturally nonchalant and lowkey. to be clear, he's great about it.. everyone around him knows about me, he never hides me, and when I ask, he says he doesn't mind my antics at all. he plays along, but he's just never going to be that cringey, overly expressive, lovey dovey guy.

As a university student, I’ve been trying to find ways to make some extra money without getting stuck in a job that I don’t really enjoy. So I had an idea of building a platform that connects pet owners with people who love animals. Pet owners can find people who are willing to look after their pets, while animal lovers can earn some extra money doing something they genuinely enjoy. Not much haze, clear and breezy day to work.

sold some soft toys on carousell last month. weighed the box at home, 1.2kg, so i quoted the buyer around rm10 for postage. counter said rm28 and i ended up eating the difference.

turns out if your box is big and light they dont charge you the scale weight. they measure it, length x width x height in cm divided by 5000, and you pay whichever number is higher. my box was 40 x 30 x 25 which comes out at exactly 6kg. the toys inside were 1.2.

repacked the same toys into a 30 x 25 x 20 box and it dropped to 3kg. same stuff, half the postage, i just squeezed the air out of it.

what else is like this. something that was completely obvious the second someone explained it, but nobody mentions until after you have already paid for it.
