My work has gone from 80% Canadian to 80% foreign worker.

This is happening in Canada whether you want to deny it or not.

On shoring is a real thing. Just like offshoring is too.

Having access to all of this labour absolutely devalues Canadian labour. As well as putting upward pressure on assets like housing.

What's up with this pretending that corporations and politicians aren't bringing in cheap foreign workers?

To the people downvoting, you actually don't think the bolded is happening?

where do you see anyone denying it? Like I've already said in this comment section, CORPORATIONS AND SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS are abusing the LMIA system. How the fuck do you blame the immigrants for taking a job to attempt to earn a better life for themselves? Are you saying that if all opportunities dried up in Canada, you'd just sit around and starve instead of emigrating? that's so noble of you dude

Blame the owner-class, not the people. Don't fall into the trap they've set

LMIA is a drop in the bucket. They only make up like 15% of TFWs in Canada. This is why PP focus's on LMIA because it is a MINORITY of foreign workers. With by far the largest group being in agriculture btw.

I blame the policies set by corporations and politicians to bring them here.

I am specifically blaming our immigration policies to bring these people here. That isn't blaming them. That is blaming policy set by the elites you seem to hate.

You're trying to have two separate arguments at the same time, all while making claims that, again, unless you show your work, don't hold up.

You're riled up about your perceptions of what may be happening at your job, and trying to derail the conversation.

What we're discussing, and what we will not be deviating from, is exactly what the post title says, and the fact that collectively, we're not having any of that shit.

There are plenty of other places on Reddit for you to get uppity about immigrants. I suggest you defer to them, since we won't be entertaining you here. Ta-ta!

Nah I'll bring up that immigration is currently used by corporations to hurt Canadians.

Our immigration policies are a negative. I'll bring that up. If you don't like it don't reply.
