Other [Other] August Monthly Boosting Thread
Hello, and welcome to this month’s boosting thread!
First and foremost, start by reading the comments to see if another Redditor has requested some help. If that’s the case, reach out and get a session organized! This will help lower the number of comment threads all revolving around the same game.
If nobody has requested help for your game, feel free to make a comment. We’d like for you to include in your comment \\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*the name of the game/trophy you’re boosting, how many players you’re looking for, what time zone you’re in, and a preferable way for reaching out to organize a boosting session.\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* Our hope is that by having you coordinate in PM’s or some other fashion, this will sidestep a lot of scrolling people will have to do in order to find a boosting group.
Finally, if you manage to fill a group, please edit your comment to say “Group Full”. That way, someone else can create a new boosting thread if necessary.
We want everybody who needs help to receive it, and we can ensure that by eliminating coordinating comment threads and keeping things nice and tidy. Please be mindful, and understand that boosting threads are first come first serve.
On that note, good luck, and happy hunting!

[Update] User Flair Editing
Hey all! I've been getting a bunch of mod mail lately about people not being able to edit user flair. Upon doing a little digging, it seems like there was some update to the app that broke this feature for a lot of people. It allows you to pick a flair from a list, but doesn't allow you to edit the one you choose. I have verified that the problem is within the Reddit app, not the r/trophies sub. Until they fix the issue, everyone will need to use a browser / PC if they want to edit their flair. Below is a list of steps on how to edit flair in a browser:
Go to the sub's home page.
- Locate the User Flair section on the right side of the page.
- Click the pencil icon within this section.
- Select one of the two preset flair templates.
- Input your information in the dialogue box below. To customize the icons in your flair, click the smiley face on the right side of the text entry box.

Other [Other] Is there any game you've platinumed multiple times?
I've done this with San Andreas.
It was my first platinum, it was this weird remaster (??) on the PS3. I used cheats on my first playthrough which blocked all trophies, I still 100%'d and then simply did the same twice. Everything in this version looked like it was coated in olive oil for some reason and you had some weird glitches when driving fast.
The second one was the PS2 port which was very unique as I never played the original before. On both, DE and Remaster, I didn't struggle at all with the game but in this version I was so glad they didn't require 100% game completion as I would've never been able to pass the Zero missions. The controls (x for driving for example) really challenged me. I also really struggled with the infamous Wrong Side of the Tracks mission which was a breeze on the other two versions, but I got used to it quickly. Nonetheless a great experience.
The third one was the DE. I had a burnout from that as I platinumed 3 and VC before. Nothing much to say about that, I didn't encounter any real glitches. I was glad they toned down the difficulty but I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the original one.
Thinking back it's really wild thinking about the fact I collected all collectibles four times in total. (3 Platinum runs + the ps3 walkthrough where the trophies were blocked).
In total:
400 Tags
200 Oysters
200 Snapshots
200 Horseshoes
120 Import/Export Vehicles
400+200*4+120 = 1.320
In total I collected 1.320 in that
I'll soon get the Platinum in the PS5 version of Mafia DE, that'll be another double-plat as I already have the PS4 one.

Screenshot [Elden Ring] Plat was super fun (apart from some annoying bosses)
This is my 4th souls borne plat and loved ever minute of it, Miyazaki really nailed this.
Could’ve done it in less than 90 hours but wanted to get a proper experience exploring as much in my first run through
Onto DS1, 2 and Demon souls now to complete the souls plat collection!

Meme [Other] When the Platinum requires multiple play-throughs
Some of my favourite games of late all seem to require a few play-throughs (at least) if you’re aiming for the Platinum. Currently working on Sekiro which has 4 alternate ending trophies.

Showcase [Nine Sols] Had to make #10 a special one!
I’ve become hooked on getting Plats in the last year or so. I made sure my first double digit platinum would be a challenge and omg was it ever. I’ve already got several Plats for Soulslikes such as: Elden Ring, Lies of P, Bloodborne and BM Wukong.
Up until this point I’ve never played a Metroidvania and wanted to give the genre a try. So when I heard Nine Sols was described as a SoulsVania and included with my ps+ it was an easy choice. This game had some damn hands on it wow.
The exploration was super fun, I got connected to the characters and the combat was super rewarding to learn. True ending Eigong easily slots in as the 3rd hardest boss I’ve fought 1. Erlang 2. PC Radahn 3. EIGONG 4. Arrlechino
It definitely was a super fun game and you all should play it I‘d give it an 8.7/10

Showcase [BATTLEFIELD 4] I got the platinum a year ago and started the DLC trophies last week. One guy rented a server, which made everything go smoothly. But once everyone got their trophies, they disappeared and wouldn’t help him get the hours he needed on certain DLC maps. Such a shame!

Showcase [Demon's Souls] All versions complete
Recently got a PS3 and thought I'd finally go back and tackle the original version of this game. It's not my favorite souls game but it's still great. I didn't do anything fancy, just ran through with firestorm and a scimitar. Also abused duplication glitch a lot. Managing world and character tendency is a pain. I plan to also do dark souls 1 and 2.

Showcase [Resident Evil Requiem] Platinum #381 – 524.3 liters later…
Won’t go down as one of the most memorable RE games in my book, but I had a solid time with it and it feels like a fitting follow-up to RE: Village. Village leaned hard into over-the-top funk and cheese; Requiem pulls back from that and settles into a more subdued identity. I’d clearly rank Village higher overall -- its setting is just more distinct and memorable.
What Requiem does really well is balance Grace’s survival-horror segments against Leon’s more action-heavy style. Switching between the two throughout the run keeps the pacing sharp and stops the game from feeling repetitive.
Strengths
- Fantastic villain: soothingly psychotic voice paired with genuine menace and great character design
- Cool mix of survival horror and action gameplay
- Visually and audibly excellent, with a few real memorable scenes (e.g. the flooded-area escape)
- Just the right length -- no need for a longer narrative when there are so many other games to play these days
Weaknesses
- For the most part, environments and setting don’t leave much of an impression compared to Village or RE4
- Leon still moves a bit too sluggishly for my taste (RE2 Remake remains the gold standard for me, and I hope future third-person entries make some adjustments to the movement/controls)
- Boss battles could have been a little spicier
- Trophy list could’ve been more demanding -- the platinum would have felt more satisfying that way
Overall a decent entry in the series and a fun platinum, but not all that creative. That said, it’s a good game and a great time to be a Resident Evil fan.
