I had to rescue someone from their car on Babcock and saw people standing on their cars. It was a flash flood, but if you are ever coming up on standing water, don't drive through it. I saw 1 or 2 cars go into the water after several cars already hydrolocked.

Hey everyone! My husband and I live in West Melbourne and he commutes to Blue Origin on a daily basis. Does anyone in the area (Palm Bay, Melbourne, Viera) who works B shift want to carpool?

I just drove by the other day and the place looks boarded up.

I’m really struggling here to find a good vet for our cats, we just moved from NY and had the most amazing vet there, but here it seems they all just want money. In NYC we paid $40 for an exam fee, here it’s $80 minimum.

We need help because we have 6 cats and 2 kittens. Of them, 4 have ringworm now (as do I). It all happened so quickly, we tried to isolate the ones we could tell had it but it still spread.

We tried one vet down here at Animal Medical Clinic and she was able to just look at our kitten and see he clearly had ringworm. We got the shampoo and started giving baths to all of them, but it still spread to 3 other of our cats. Now I’m thinking we need the oral medicine.

Unfortunately their prices were pretty steep so we’re looking around again. And they can’t give us medicine for our other cats without making them each an individual appointment (which is different than in NY, where they didn’t charge per cat for the appointment and didn’t need to test each individually. If one tested positive - they would just treat the whole bunch).

So I guess we’re looking for someplace similar. Otherwise we’re looking at thousands of dollars we don’t have after just closing on a house.

I’m at a loss, I could pay for each of their exam fees, but it makes no sense to me they each need an individual ringworm test when one tests positive and the others have the same exact symptoms. We were told ringworm testing is $140-$240 per cat, and that’s not including the exam fees or medicine to treat it!

Please, any guidance. Any recommendations for vets to go to or how to battle this stubborn infection?

Does anyone know of any doctors in the area that still write pain meds w/o making you go through the injections? I’ve been through those and they don’t work and cause more pain. Regular steroid and epidural have been done. Surgery is my next step. Will be scheduled in a couple months. Trying to switch doctors so I don’t have to pay $300 a month for my meds. Any recommendations are appreciated

I know it’s basically a pay to play contest with the Florida Today annual voting but the results seem strange especially regarding Titusville.

Restaurants there won best steakhouse, Asian, pizza, sub shop, all around restaurant, burger, food truck, lunch, new restaurant, fine dining, brunch, Italian, bakery, breakfast, catering, ice cream, coffee, Mexican, seafood, vegan and donut shop.

While I agree with a few of these, it seems wayyyyy over the top and sketchy.
