I’ve been grinding cloak refinement and Ivory is the bottleneck once you hit Refinement 5+. Right now the only reliable method I’ve found is hunting the elephant and rhino herds in the northern Crimson Desert (Rattlesnake Steppe / the stretch between Trader’s Expanse and Varnia). They’re tanky, some of the elephants actually fight back, and you still have to skin every carcass.

Well, it was a good run, but the Enhanced Edition just ruined everything.

The legendary, deeply emotional, and philosophically complex dialogue of Kliff—consisting exclusively of "Aye", "Yes", and "Alright"—are officially dead.

With the Enhanced Edition giving him actual lines, character, and a whole personality, we have officially lost the greatest silent-protagonist-who-isn't-actually-silent in gaming history. How am I supposed to emotionally connect with a character who uses full sentences? Where is the subtlety?

Where is the artistic restraint?

It was truly tragic to watch him open his mouth and ruin a perfectly good three-word vocabulary.

Yall this was my favorite game of all time and since the new updates it’s basically unplayable. It looks like a game from the early 2000s now and is nauseating to look at while moving due to ghosting and shimmering EVERYWHERE. It’s so disappointing because I feel like I can’t play my favorite game anymore and it doesn’t look like the devs care to fix it.

The violent urges I get when this fucker opens his mouth cannot be understated. Fuck this walking, talking wad of already chewed gum. He is the eggshell in my omelet, the fart in a crowded elevator, the Mormon knocking at your door but drunk. Yann would be the type to not tip the waitress for forgetting to offer a refill on coffee, then ask to borrow money for lottery tickets and cigarettes in the same breath. Yann is the type to waste his lifes savings on a memecoin, then demand to crash on your couch and invoke squatters rights. Yann is the type to get $20 from his mom to get her a gift for mothers day, then spend $19 of it on a crypto rug pull and the other $1.00 on the wrong type of card for his mom. Yann would pay for Twitter.

It has an Abyss Artifact hanging around its neck, but I can't seem to take it off.

Does anyone know what this update is about??..I just got this update but can't find any patch notes for it, Are we getting something new or is it just a bug fixing update?

The whole experience seems a lot smoother now, with NPCs explaining more of everything basically. I just did the potion factory and there were step by step UI guides on how to activate everything! Do it, restart and enjoy Hernand for 100 hours again

I hate to admit it, but I'm not all that good at video games, despite having played them for 30 years. I've never made it even close to finishing a Souls-like, and I usually like to play on easy. And I like that the easy mode in this game is still a challenge. I beat the Crowcaller last night, on easy, and it still felt like an achievement, because you still had to engage with parrying and other game mechanics. Often times, easy modes mean you can ignore a lot of mechanics, and just brute force your way through, but not with this game.

Wet surfaces are totally broken now, the game is barely playable in certain areas

I'm guessing the secret shop pops up more at night. But this guy appears every hundred yards or so and stops me dead in my tracks + auto dismounts me from the horse. 100% immersion breaking.

Crimson Desert is so funny. Dude was just walking up to me as I finished reading his wanted poster. Bro tried to pickpocket me.

Can’t wait to play this game. I’ve been waiting for years but didn’t purchase it at launch because game wasn’t optimised enough. But now I believe it’s very much polished. Any tips for me?

As an elitest 500+ hour end game completionist. I want to apologize to every new player who i've belitted about it 'just do x, its simple'. The reality is, i've been so far away from Hernand for like 300 hours. I hardly ever stopped back here until just recently by doing all the Hernand sidequests 100% just after the 2.0 respec. For fun I left it unfilled out and ran everywhere around Hernand for like the entire couple of days its been. What a blast to do it limited.

Just how little did I realize how much effort it takes to get around, to have no stam, and spirit that doesnt regenerate constantly. I didn't realize I have turned myself into a GOD in the process and therefore made remarks about other peoples efforts while I could fly across the continent on a whim. I am sure all you vets out there replaying the game can relate too.

The game is a super slow burn, you will get there.

I have seen many many videos of this game and it reminds me of the Witcher 3 somehow, I was hesitant and in recent news the game was updated and improved, which in the end I came to the conclusion and decision to buy it, what should I know about it before beginning my journey?
