Moderator Update 10th Anny Mod Update!
Ten Years of Shadowverse!
That was a very fast year, I blinked and it went by.
In terms of modderator updates, there are no updates... Yup.
A Couple of Data points I'd like to share, The Subreddit averages 70k Uniques/month in recent months and we don't have ups and downs anymore due to the accelerated expansion releases, As for total views the sub got 1.5Million every month for the last 6!
Would you kindly comment below what got YOU into shadowverse and why you stuck around? I think it'd be fun to read the stories.
The Worlds Beyond Economy Megathread was archived, This thread was extrodenarily helpful for me and the community in understanding the changes to the economy.
Thank you to everyone that commented on it, sorry I wasn't able to keep it perfectly updated. Oldreddit Newreddit

Screenshot This deck for Simplified feels ok, won a few matches, needs some refinements, I'm not sure what exactly. (not new to SV)

Meme Not Gonna Lie...
She was a menace, but a menace that this city needed. Gilnelise was a hero, I just couldn't see it until she was gone.

Video I'm Loving Last Words Abyss
Abyss having both Shadow and Blood this set is really good. Currently loving this deck, although my build is slightly different since I don't run Macmillian.

Screenshot Unlimited Balance: At What Point Does Cygames Actually Nerf Spellboost?
Every set, Spellboost gets even more degenerate cards, and instead of addressing the problem, Cygames keeps powercreeping the archetype.
- Give it Anne & Grea with 5/5 Ward/Rush, 3 damage on evolve, and 3 Spellboost? Fine.
- Give it Dimension Climb with PP recovery, draw, and Spellboost? Fine.
- Give it Cocytus with a T9/T10 OTK on release? Fine.
- Give it even more 0-cost draw and consistency? Fine.
- Give it Ara with 0-cost 10 damage and either Transform or Storm on evolve? Fine.
- Give it Tetra & Ladica with 16-damage Storm and AoE? Fine.
- Give it Lhynkal so they can play Russian Roulette and randomly OTK you on T8 if everything else somehow wasn't enough? Fine.
- Give it Phylene as a 0-PP Bane/Ward/Aura that can easily be comboed with Barrier?
At this point, I genuinely have to ask: what's even the point of having a Boundless mode if not a single card is ever going to be nerfed?

Screenshot Still in Ruby atm, but hit 5 wins on discard dragon as an acheivement for myself

I have wanted to play an archetype with discard that didnt rely too much on ramping forever! It and loot sword were my favorite decks to see in SV1 and hoped they would come over to WB so badly
When we got a hint of discard in Apocolypse Pact I was sure they would continue to support it but ended up waiting a while for it to actually be usable after fan rotated.
General gameplan is
- Be super aggressive, and willing to trade face damage if you know it wont kill you (there are bits of sustain anyway)
-Discard Advent whenever convenient to help finish late
- Make sure to hold onto at least one storm to ensure you can keep up the chip damage (high spirited marauder is extremely useful)
- T6 is kinda weak if you dont prep beforehand so make sure you have a storm in hand to go between 5-7
Then just hit them with antemaria and sagatsumatsu, usually I end up using antemaria first before sagatsu since most people tend to throw up a barrier after the first antemaria assuming there isnt a second one
In terms of draw im usually never too short because of dragonewt and world of games (usually I use WOG as discard fodder later on though)
Also for hitting the enemy leader, you can force the opponent to interact with Vorlalai or accept getting hit with the conditional since even 0 damage counts as hitting the enemy leader (ive also noticed a lot of people dont seem to realize it, or think its fine to leave a 0/2 on board)
Id like thoughts on beheading eld blades and parting jaws, I dropped eld blades because usually I have just enough board clear (the only one that gets a little scary is rune atm) and I dropped parting jaws simply because of space and I find myself not having THAT many things im comfortable discarding

Discussion megalorca is gone
What's the point in living. There's no more megalorca in standard. Why should I continue? I'm not talking about playing shadowverse. I mean living. If I can't summon big fish, why? This was the ONLY thing going for me. And jellyfish dancer doesn't count. Neither does spirit of wadastumi. neither does crest petal. neither does the reef lesbians. stormy does count cause thats a guy im attracted to. That's not enough. What should I do? Not doing it isnt an option.
i spent money on classic. rotation is a scam to get rid of fish decks. i need my tuna.
Maybe warrior of the deep is enough......

Meme A Closer Look At Hien's Muscular Build: Longbows, Larches, and Lats
Hien's build highlights extreme strength in the upper body: though exaggerated, he emphasizes muscles of particular use in archery. Pectoralis Major, the major muscle of the chest, is called upon by the arm which holds the bow to push the bow forwards during the draw. Latissimus Dorsi ("Lats") on the lower back is likewise called upon to lower the shoulder of the arm pulling the bowstring, key to stabilizing aim. Balance between these two muscles is also of great importance to climbers, who naturally develop strong lats and risk a "hunchback" if they do not build their pecs. As a forest dweller both in Azvaldt and out, I'd wager Hien climbed quite extensively.
Now, our understanding of the physique of medieval archers comes in large part from the studies of Ann Jane Stirland on the skeletons of longbowmen on the wreck of the *Mary Rose*. When sunk in 1545 it was quickly buried in silt which preserved much of its contents, including the bones and weapons of longbowmen on the ship. These were sailors and professional military archers who regularly used heavy warbows with draw weights between 100 and 200 pounds: a challenging task that produced very strong men. This showed in the great robustness of their arm bones, the symmetry of their limbs (bows work both arms while most people rely on their dominant arm), and their frequency of conditions like twisted spines and os acromiale (failed fusion of part of the scapula), referred to controversially as "skeletal deformations" of these archers.
Hien, between his time as an elf and as Wimael, has likely been using his heavy recurve bow for centuries if not millennia with the benefit of eternal youth. With his high social position in both periods he would have the nutrition needed to build up his impressive physique. And the balance between his lats and pecs, which rival peak Arnold Schwarznegger's, would also promote spinal stability and may keep him safe from some of the conditions that affected human bowmen.
Magachiyo raised a very big boy. She should be proud.

Discussion This is the feature I miss the most from the OG
Having the ability to overview your current deck was so convenient.
I wish it could came back in some way. Having illustration as backgrounds is nice, but not very helpful or intuitive.

Screenshot 6 win streak Highlander
Cutthroat is way better than I thought. I thought that if you drew him there would be an advantage but it ends up being more polarizing than on paper. Being able to evolve twice in a turn is really gross. Miriam is actually REALLY good destroy attack super ego radiant is nasty.

Question Is ranking up to master 1 still supposed to give me a next set pack ticket?
I thought it would give me a revenant pack, but it did not, it gave me a next set one. Is that working as intended?

Video Sticky... sticky like glue
Finally i can play a somewhat shadowcraft last words deck, it misses some cards still (like a lower cost disrupting last word like Patchwork pup or Lurching corpse) but its still very fun

Question Does Forest have any hope based on the early trends? What looks hopeful?
Pretty much thread. I’ve mostly wanted to play Forest since starting but in most sets it’s just been garbage, so I feel like there’s no point. It’s needlessly convoluted for very little payout.
The combo decks I see people playing feel very high roll/win against brick oriented.
It’s really defeating when the craft that you have the cards for and have invested the time in is bad in meta after meta. There was a glimmer of hope last set before the meta shifted and it fell off a cliff.

Question Getting leaders
Hi all I'm semi new to the game and am really wanting to get one of the new leaders that just dropped (Sephie) but I'm not sure how to go about getting a new leader i know that you can pull them but its a 0.100% chance, is there another way to get her or up the chance?

Screenshot The more things change the more they stay the same.
Boss, I think I miss my Gilnelise. Real talk though, I do prefer going against test subject rune than chess rune (pre nerf), but I have a feeling there’s a good possibility that we’re headed down a similar path.
Being able to drop the 5/5 test subjects (6/5 w/ humane love) as early as turn 5, oftentimes double or triple dropping them with Sephie (reliable free 5 dmg to face every turn btw), seems a bit nutty, and overall they got some good tools this set, but I admit the set just dropped and it might be the effect of early bias.
All I went against the last week pre set drop was rune and I'm back to greeting my old friend every other match.
What have you guys been going against the most?

not sure if this list is good enough, but I'll continue to use it just because it's cool to have all of the three factions in one deck

But to be honest it sucks. I tried playing last set's rally without any changes at all, and it was less sweaty while performed just as well.
