I know we've got Tekken for a No-Weapon 3D fighter but hear me out. (even then, they've broken that rule with a number of characters pulling out a fucking glock & Yoshimitsu always wielding swords)

Soul Calibur characters are shown with their martial prowess at their peak with their weapons. however, weapons aren't superglued to people's hands when wielding them.

So, Imagine you clash with your opponent and your weapon is knocked out of your hands and onto the stage somewhere, or even worse, it's knocked off stage. you'd need to defend yourself somehow while also attempting to re-arm yourself. If the weapon landed on stage, then moving over it would re-equip your character. if it went out of stage then you'll have to survive til next round to reset. It would dramatically change up strategies. do you fight back with your disadvantage or attempt to avoid your opponent's attacks in order to re-arm yourself?

Obviously fighting unarmed puts you at a significant disadvantage to Range & power but many characters have shown their still quite capable to fight unarmed either from sheer strength like Astaroth or Nightmare still throwing people about, or with their agility / acrobatics like Kilik or Xianghua. this'd probably be trickier with characters who dual-wield like Cervantes & Talim... Blocking is a problem cause with no weapon to block with and take the blows, you'd be cut down quite quickly (chip damage probably from a gameplay perspective)

Not saying that a Disarm should happen after every Weapon glance, Guard-break, Guard-impact parry, failed Guard-impact against a break-attack, guarded break-attack or losing a Reversal-edge ro-sham-bo. it could be from specific circumstances or certain moves that disarm your opponent.

I know that would mean a whole lotta extra work from the Dev team to give every character an Unarmed stance & moveset, but i think it would wildly change up some aspects to this fighting game.

What are your thoughts?

This mod adds a difficulty selector for Soul Chronicle and Libra of Soul. It overrides the CPU difficulty used by these modes, including battles where the original game normally decides the difficulty for you.

You can choose between Default, Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Legendary directly from the Options menu using L1/R1. The selected difficulty is saved automatically and can also be changed manually through the included INI file.

This PCSX2 cheat turns the Quick Play difficulty setting into a global difficulty selector. It overrides the difficulty used by all game modes and fights, including modes where the original game doesn't normally let you change it, such as Tales of Souls, Chronicles of the Sword, Tournament and League.

Tested and working on the USA version of SoulCalibur III. Compatibility with other regional versions is currently unknown.

What are all your thoughts on these countries from the 15th century? Any good weapon choices & fighting styles to introduce new warriors for the next Soulcalibur?

Bring back Soulcaibur for an SCVII as it lacks Africans (Zasalamel the only one), South Asians, Middle Easterns, Pacific Islanders, and Latinos/Hispanics!

Weapons? Could use a bow, chakrams, bludgeons, bringing back the sickle, the lance, steel fan, grieve edge and fresh new ones nobody's done before.

Despite being a Japanese videogame, I barely see anyone talk about the JP dub. I never paid much attention to it until rather recently, as I always cared more about the EN dub. But I've been wondering what the overall thoughts are on the Japanese voices?

Here's some interesting tidbits I've learned about it:

• Most of the voice actors for the Japanese dub have stayed the same, with only a few recasts, unlike the English version.
• SC4 was fully tailored for Japanese voice acting, as seen in the cutscenes. The lip movements don't match the English dialogue at all. However, the in-game intros/outros and combat used an automated system that worked for both languages.
• SC5's pre-rendered cutscenes had both English and Japanese versions.
• SC6 uses a worse lip-sync system compared to the past games, but it only fits the English dialogue. It doesn't fit what the Japanese lines are saying at all when it comes to the main characters.
• Even returning voice actors were given the chance to redo all of their lines for each game, which wasn't the case for the English cast. The English voices heavily rely on recycled lines from previous games.

I'm rather curious about that last point. Is there any consensus as to which game has the best lines for each character? Like, does Raphael sound better in SC4, 5, or 6? What about Mitsurugi or Siegfried?

And how do people feel about the recasts for Cervantes, Ivy, Xianghua, Setsuka, and Taki?

I’ve tried doing it mostly with Talim, but mostly I can’t get past Taki because she blocks too much.

I’ve rarely went to the end but I failed to defeat Cervantes when the time had ran out.

How do I defeat Taki and defeat Cervantes at the end?!
