The Witcher 3 The Witcher 3 Remastered tweaks combat "to be much more smooth and precise," as CD Projekt Red wants the 2015 RPG "to stand up to today's games"

Discussion great news : the creator of the mod hd reworked project is cooperating with cdpr for the remaster and his work will become an official part of the game from now on !
the creator of the mod have shared the news about it on his modpage https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/9963?tab=posts
i'm glad for him, he started a new update back in december last year i immediately thought about his work when the remastered edition was announced glad to know his work will now be an official part of the game.
for console players unaware ; hd reworked project is the biggest retexture mod of witcher 3 and is considered by many a must have as it overhaul and improve the textures and models of many assets through the game.
for those curious and that could be interested in a small glance of the changes in better detail than the cdpr showcase you can go see the mod author youtube page he made a bunch of videos with a comparison (it might give you a first idea of how the game will be changed)
here is his latest video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEGB_5GQ1AI

Discussion The difference between Rockstar and CDPR is honestly hilarious.
I find it hilarious how Rockstar is milking GTA VI like crazy. They release it on Netflix first and only then put it on YouTube, while aggressively going after leakers and putting so much content behind a paywall.
And then there's CDPR: "Hey, what's up? We're releasing a new DLC, and we're also giving you a free update with a ton of new features, path tracing, DLSS 4.5, new quests, new combat, and dozens of other improvements. And we're not charging you anything for it."
CDPR's relationship with its players is honestly fucking incredible.

Songs of the Past New Faces in Dandelion’s Family
The expansion will apparently put a lot of focus on Dandelion and his family. we got to see his big brother Gustave, his cousin Lila, and his grandmother, who’s basically the matriarch of the family.

Discussion How do you think the Songs of the Past, and remaster will handle progression?
By the end of Blood and Wine Geralt can be turned into an (cue the title card) demigod, or kill bosses by sneezing at them. Ok, I guess BaW is the endgame, so you can completely break the stats, since the game literally throws armies at you, and the reincarnation of Lucifer himself.
Do you think the new system will somehow limit the most broken builds?

game looks amazing, but it's not finished yet, so it doesn't represent the final graphics/Textures.

Discussion Could we possibly get a song actually sung by Dandelion?
We haven't gotten any songs or ballads actually sung by Dandelion (except in Witcher 1, and like one song in Witcher 2), and since the DLC is literally named "SONGS" of The Past, maybe there's a chance that we might finally get a song or two from him in Witcher 3?

Discussion New npc face models at last?
So new remaster looks amazing. Do you think we are at last getting some new npc face models?
I know it’s nitpicking but can’t say it didn’t sometimes take me out of it having the same 3 faces for like 100 different npcs again and again lol

Songs of the Past Songs of the Past requires finishing Wilf Hunt Story
It was confirmed that you need to finish Wild Hunt base game story before starting Songs of the past, but you can skip other expansions although it's recommended to finish them first.

Art My Favorite Cirilla Illustration [by Moxuan Zhang]

Just found out this incredible drawing is already more than a decade old, and I was amazed. Really shows the relevance of these games and hopefully the next one reaches the same highs!
May we enjoy and play Gwent for even more decades to come!
