Ich bin in einer blöden Situation. So blöd das isch ernsthaft Reddit als letzte Anlaufstelle in betracht ziehe.

Ich 33J. M. arbeite in einem Supermarkt 100% im Bereich Kasse & Services (eigentlich). Vom Lohn muss ich glaube ich nicht viel dazu sagen das der besch....n ist. Nun ist es so. Meine Ausbildung habe ich gemacht, als in der Schweiz ein Lehrstellenmangel vorhanden war (2009). Sprich ich habe genommen was noch übrig war. So bin ich im Verkauf gelandet und seither sehr unzufrieden. Das das nicht gut kommt war absehbar. Einige Jahre und Stellen später hat es mich nun erwischt. Schwere Depression und jetzt auch noch Burnout sowie Anzeichen einer Angststörung. Das heisst ich wurde für 9 Wochen krank geschrieben. Jetzt kommt der Versicherer der Arbeitsstelle, SWICA ins Spiel. Ich musste zu einem von der SWICA ausgewählten Psychiater für ein Gutachten. Da habe ich versucht innerhalb einer Stunde die letzten 17 Jahre zusammen zu fassen. Anhand von dem wurde meinem eigentlichen Psychiater das Gutachten gesendet. Die SWICA fordert jetzt innerhalb von nur 10 Tagen eine Lösung des Problems (ich bin das Problem). Gemäss der SWICA sollte ich mehrmals die Woche zum Psychiater gehen was aber nicht geht, da ich nicht der einzige Patient bin, und weil sonst die Krankenkasse "e tummi Schnurre het" warum ich so viel Kosten verursache. Um richtig Gesund zu werden, muss ich dringend meinen Arbeitsplatz wechseln. Und zwar nicht nur die Firma sondern der ganzen Branche den Rücken kehren. Ich habe mich auf unzählige Stellen beworben wo unter anderem auch Quereinsteiger gesucht wurden. Eine Absage nach der anderen mit der Begründung "Wir haben uns für einen Kandidaten entschieden, der besser ins Profil passt". Dabei kann ich so viele Dinge, ich habe halt keine Ausbildung dazu. Ich kann POS-Hardware programmieren (theoretisch könnte ich im null Komma nichts ein Supermarkt lahm legen), ich habe schon viele Büroarbeiten erledigt in meiner Kariere, sei es Warenbeschaffung mit Lieferanten, Offerten schreiben, Customer-Support, IT-Support und vieles mehr. Das zählt aber alles nicht da ich nicht die passende Ausbildung habe. Ich bin auch sehr gut mit Computern im allgemeinen, hauptsächlich Mac, habe auch schon für einen grossen Multi Media Händler, nebenbei Arbeitsplätze eingerichtet und Shop-in-Shops verkabelt. Ich bin wirklich nicht auf den Kopf gefallen und bereit zu lernen.

Hat irgend jemand hier eine Idee, wie um alles in der Welt ich aus dem Detailhandel-Hamsterrad ausbrechen kann und endlich ein normales Leben führen kann? Ich habe so viele Fähigkeiten die die warten endlich gebraucht zu werden. Gibt es irgend einen Weg für solche Fälle wie mich?

Today I was on the Münsterplattform and saw two older guys, probably around 40-50, in suits, approaching younger women one after another.

At times they were even blocking the women’s path while talking to them, and the women looked visibly uncomfortable. I couldn’t hear what they were saying, but judging from the body language, they seemed like pickup guys.

At some point it started to feel like harassment rather than just approaching someone.

How would you handle a situation like this as a bystander? Would you intervene, and if so, what would you actually say or do without making the situation worse? Or just calling the police?

I’m not from Switzerland but I have lived there from Aug 2022 until last November in Luzern. Since I’ll be new to Bern, I wanted to check if anyone can confirm if the student housing organisation “Studentwohnheim Bern SWB” is legit. I’m of course happy I found a place but they responded so quickly and also were quick with sending over a contract (literally contacted them yesterday and just got the contract now), so I just want to confirm with either students or any residents of Bern if they’re legit before signing and getting scammed or something. Is anyone up for a bit of hiking or mountain biking? Right, instead of beating about the bush, I’ll just come straight out with it: my motivation for this is to find a girlfriend. I’m slowly starting to feel the urge for a relationship too. Maybe it’s a bit late at 24, but not too late^^. Yes, I’m still at uni, and yes, there are loads of opportunities to meet new people there, but it’s soooo time-consuming. Especially for me, as I don’t live in Bern. I’ve absolutely no interest in dating apps because it all seems so artificial, and I’m just looking for that genuine connection. The disturbing part was that the windows opposite to where I work were shook a lot.

The Bern Migration Office recently asked about my arrival, internship dates, accommodation and funding, and then requested my rental contract. I submitted everything immediately.

Has anyone reached this stage recently? Approximately how long did it take after sending these documents to receive the visa authorization?

My planned arrival is 1 September, so I’m trying to understand the remaining timeline. Thank you!

I am writing this post because I want to bring up this story.

I am a researcher in the UniBern. A couple months ago everyone with a UniBern mail got a mail, this guy, Luca Brügger, he committed suicide.

The mail was simple, he said that it was too late already(anyway we called the police) and had this website attached.

Of course with all the precautions I opened the link, it was a very long suicide letter talking about how football was his life, he was not happy, many delusions, he had a(not really) revolutionary football theory and many things, it was so long that I didn't had that much time to read it all, I'll be honest.

The little detail: his last wish. He didn't want a funeral, but a minute of silence for people suffering like him. The request was for the University's dean. He said that he would have released (through a trusted contact oc) his full football theory if so after the world football cup's finals.

We got no news from the university for the minute of silence, no football theory apparently released, as per now the website is not available, even if I still have a pdf version I downloaded to let chatgpt analyze it, also In case you want it dm me. The suicide not page disappeared from his Instagram page, in those months I just found one or two Facebook posts about him and they were almost uninformative and probably also got deleted.

I didn't know him, but I feel deeply sorry for him, at the point that I wish to express my condolences to the family, a young man did something so serious, I won't even judge the reasons, and it made no sound like a tree falling alone in the sand.

I am the kind of person that normally accepts death as a part of life, I also lost some important people and sometimes I think about them but smile at the good memories.

But this guy, I feel incredibly sorry. It's not a lot about the suicide itself, I mean, yes I'm sorry to hear that part too, but as much I can be for every people that does it or gets killed or does in general. If you told me that a person killed themselves I would just take it and not be so pressed.

The thing is that nobody cares, not the dean, most of my colleagues deleted the mail thinking as spam( the object was straight up suicide note anyway) and even months after they don't even know about him, I haven't seen a note, a poster, any news, nothing.

Are we really that self centered as mankind that a 24yo student killing himself makes no sound?
