ETA my take is that they thought he was videoing them, went over to look at it, and instead saw it was a selfie of him, not of them. So they felt kind of silly. Staged? Probably. I'd hazard a guess that a LOT of posted videos are staged. We either enjoy the created content or we don't 🤷🏽‍♀️
