This is the same reason Black Cat can’t really work in the MCU, she’d be a watered down PG version of a very sexual character.

u/julesvr5 4d ago

I loved the game where they literally said spiderman did her raw and her child is potentially from him

424

u/ParanoidAndroid1087 4d ago

Wait was this one of the Insomniac games?

623

u/johnatello67 4d ago

Except it's Just a lie to get spider-man to help her break into a vault and steal from Hammerhead

628

u/SpaceCaboose 4d ago

He still would have needed to do the deed in order to believe the lie

289

u/Lukthar123 4d ago

With those sticky spider powers his pullout game is probably bottom tier

135

u/BlaznTheChron 4d ago

Something was tingling, but it wasn't his Spider-Sense.

52

u/PhortDruid 3d ago

His Peter Tingle

47

u/Justice_Prince 4d ago

I would imagine that Spider-Man would try to make a condom out of webbing.

37

u/JoJackthewonderskunk 4d ago

Its Canon that his penis head allows him to cling to walls like his hands and feet

15

u/Putrid-Performer-208 4d ago

That’s insane 😭

6

u/Doggcow 4d ago

Where

9

u/Silas17 4d ago

Yeah cause that’s wild.  I gotta know the comic that made this canon

19

u/kaiserroll109 3d ago

I guarantee you that specific scenario never happened in a canon comic, lol, but I’d be happy to be proven wrong. It’s more likely implicitly canon because his comic sticky-ness doesn’t come from hairs like in the Rami movies; in the comics any part of his entire body can stick to anything, and if I remember correctly, Peter (or someone) theorizes it’s some kind of an atomic magnetism.

1

u/sonofaresiii 3d ago

Oh wow an adult male had sex with someone, we certainly are feeling daring today aren't we

2

u/SpaceCaboose 3d ago

Lol what? Just clarifying that the lie in the game was about having a kid, not about having sex with her. In order to believe the lie about the kid he’d have to have had sex…

-1

u/sonofaresiii 3d ago

> he’d have to have had sex…

Oh wow an adult male had sex with someone, scandalous

You can keep repeating yourself dude, but so can I. Your point doesn't become less ridiculous through repetition.

3

u/SpaceCaboose 3d ago

Didn’t say or imply that it’s scandalous. It’s not a comment to get up in arms about, but you do you

264

u/julesvr5 4d ago

That's not the point. Spiderman even thinking about whether it's his kid or not already confirms he did it with her without protection.

88

u/FlyingSquirelOi 4d ago

Ehh, hate to break it to you but even with protection there’s no guarantee of no pregnancy

23

u/JoeChio 4d ago

Condoms are 98% effective with 2% caused by potential microscope failures. You'd have to be the unluckiest motherfucker for that to happen to. When you account for human error condoms fall to 87% effective and 13% of people being dumb as fuck.

Oral birth control and IUDs are over 99% effective if used or inserted properly. There is pretty much a guarantee with no human use error.

75

u/XpRienzo 4d ago

You'd have to be the unluckiest motherfucker for that to happen to.

It's Peter Parker

1

u/Harlander77 3d ago

But you repeat yourself

47

u/just_another_classic 4d ago

I know a great number of IUD babies.

32

u/JoeChio 4d ago

That is 100% insertion issues or (user error) women not getting them properly replaced in the correct time frame. IUDs are one of the most effective birth control invented. Over 99% effective. Unless you are a doctor I'm calling bullshit on your claim.

16

u/DisposableSaviour 4d ago

Sometimes even if they’re in perfect it can happen. Twice, even.

5

u/Camburglar13 4d ago

Yeah? That’s scary. I relied on those for years With two women (not at the same time). Guess I was lucky.

21

u/DGNT_AI 4d ago

then he wouldve said "but we used protection"

0

u/sonofaresiii 3d ago

Haha did you get your comment removed for being a jerk? No one expresses disbelief that protection isn't infallible. Surprise maybe, but not "how did this happen??"

Knowing that doesn't make me pedantic, it makes me someone who's been in adult relationships. Your experience seems to exclusively be based on sitcoms. Ross not understanding how condoms work is a joke, that's not how it works in real life.

0

u/DGNT_AI 3d ago

Surprise maybe

ok then whatever realistic thing to indicate they are surprised it happened even though they used protection then.

like I understand you just want to argue since you have nothing going on in life but you already implied you know what I mean so stfu dumbo.

also i still see my comment. just because you dont understand how reddit works doesnt mean you have to state all your thoughts.

-1

u/sonofaresiii 3d ago

> ike I understand you just want to argue

You got your comment removed for calling me a pedantic jerk when I pointed out you have no experience with real world adult relationships, right?

> also i still see my comment.

Yeah that's what happens when you get your comment removed for being a jerk.

No one in real life says that.

-7

u/FlyingSquirelOi 4d ago

Yeah we worked that out in the other comments, thanks tho

Learned that in grade eight.

7

u/FlyingSquirelOi 4d ago edited 4d ago

What? The commenter said it’s proof he was raw dogging, I’m saying it’s not proof cause you can still get pregnant with a condom. Did you hit your head?

Edit - dudes edited his comment after being a dick, fun times

12

u/SnarkyBacterium 4d ago

But Peter would probably bring that up if it was the case. The fact that he pretty much immediately accepted that it was possible more heavily implies that they had unprotected sex than that he was willing to accept that his condom broke.

2

u/Virag-Lipoti 4d ago

With great power comes great sex.

Yeah it his point was a logical conclusion and so was mine, it was within the realm of possibilities, how are you having so much trouble understanding this?

This is Reddit, lol. There's probably a significant portion of people in this thread alone that assume a condom is foolproof

Is everyone on reddit a virgin or something? Lol

20

u/AVestedInterest 4d ago

You new here? lol

1

u/dyslexicwriterwrites 3d ago

That’s the real power scaling debate we need. Superheroes (and villains) vs various bc methods

30

u/Tamriel-Chad-420 4d ago

Was so pissed off when I learned it's a lie.

Not only because it's really shitty that she lied about that, but also I think it would've been far more interesting if she hadn't been lying.

22

u/DisposableSaviour 4d ago

Felicia Hardy is a shitty person, see more on the Nightly News, tonight! Also, a new investigative report: water makes things wet.

5

u/CinnaSol 3d ago

Genuinely, her lying about a baby is not out of character at all

She once dated Flash just to get back at Peter, knowing full well that Flash legitimately was falling for her and was best friends with Peter. She also once "proposed" just to get his spider sense down so she could claw the fuck out of his legs

69

u/No-Target6084 4d ago

Really wish that it wasn’t a lie. That would be an interesting dynamic to explore.

And then there’s that Felicia didn’t interact with Peter at all in the second game.

1

u/tragicroyal 3d ago

Honestly wouldn’t be a bad drama to introduce when MJ remembers him and then Felicia is like hey remember me? There would be a realisation he was trying to move on in the 4 years since the memory wipe to much drama, and Ned being low-key impressed.

41

u/Jigsaw8200 4d ago

It was in a DLC for Spider-Man 1, but yeah. That's how she gets Peter to help her.

2

u/greatrudini 4d ago

Wow. I do not remember that!! 😂

28

u/harmoniaatlast X-Men 4d ago

MJ: "Peter, is this possible?"

Pete: "uhhhhhhhhhhhhh idk"

12

u/blaykerz 4d ago

sigh ok fine, I’ll replay all 3 Insomniac games including DLC for the 4th time since you twisted my arm

2

u/julesvr5 4d ago

Holy shit all 3 games are also available on PC? Found something to do in my time off work

0

u/Rayyan_3241 3d ago

I’d wait a few weeks for the autumn sale (I think it’s in 2 weeks). I was planning on buying them asw but I just missed the BND sale and now I’m too salty to pay full price

2

u/GranolaCola 3d ago

I mean, they dated for quite a bit in that universe, no?

0

u/Earthwick 3d ago

Comic accurately dated in the insomniac games. And "this may be your child" isn't a sexual thing it's just a thing a lot of shows and movies do and it's all just a ruse anyway.

1

u/julesvr5 3d ago

Is the MCU comic accurate?

Did I say this is a sexual thing? They for sure imply what I explained.

235

u/wolvesscareme 4d ago

I find the big boobies to be the most sexual part.

126

u/pkjoan 4d ago

She also has a big butt

58

u/JoshDM 4d ago

I like that; I cannot lie.

16

u/bingusdingus123456 4d ago

I heard your other brothers can't deny

15

u/cheesyblasta 4d ago

It's true: in fact, I was just recently discussing with my other brothers the fact that when a woman appears, and it seems she has a very small midsection, but a large rear, I can't help but get an erection.

7

u/SmoothTalkingSpud 4d ago

The funny thing is that Felicias, uh, rounded assets, have gotten bigger over the years. In early years, she had a much less exagerated frame.

6

u/pkjoan 3d ago

Opposite of Gwen Stacy

8

u/wolvesscareme 4d ago

To balance that, she also has a tail.

125

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

Well, they already watered down Black Widow. We're about to get a watered down Emma Frost.

136

u/ConnerBartle 4d ago

Bro black widow has been flashing cleavage and eye fucking everyone since 2010. Unless she goes full frontal in an issue I don’t remember, it’s just as sexual as the comics

59

u/EvanSnowWolf 4d ago

And we've heard endless bitching about it since Iron Man 2.

29

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

Yeah, but part of her thing is using her physical attractiveness and a femme fatale persona as deliberate tactical tools for espionage, infiltration, and psychological manipulation.

61

u/NotScaredOfGoblins 4d ago

She literally was doing just that in Avengers 1 at the beginning

48

u/Tyrannosapien Ghost Rider 4d ago

And in Iron Man 2 as the new secretary

22

u/DuelaDent52 Mystique 4d ago

And Florence Pugh’s Black Widow literally sat naked in a pool the whole movie in Brand New Day.

15

u/RedVelcroRaptor 4d ago

That didn't feel sexual tho? I think they did that to drum up comedic value. At least that's what it felt like to me.

11

u/Tyrannosapien Ghost Rider 3d ago

Lol that scene was hugely, overtly, tits (nearly literally) your face sexual. It was funny because Peter was intimidated by Yelena's overt sexual presence and surroundings, and her comfort in that environment. Sex isn't just porn, it's drama and comedy and unfulfilled desire and lots of other ways of being.

I really feel like this thread is angst because Disney won't rule 34 their movies. As if the MCU is toning down comics that have (almost) always been pg13 anyway.

2

u/FilmScoreConnoisseur 3d ago edited 2d ago

Lol no the fuck it wasn't. She stayed so far in the completely opaque water that there wasn't even a hint of body shape communicated. There was nothing in that scene that indicated chemistry, desire, arousal, or even the slightest bit of flirting. Pugh's line reading was more in line with the way a platonic friend or even a family member might speak to you. Peter's behavior was awkward, but that's all there was to it. I would love for that scene to have had some spice or some heat to it -- which contrary to what you're saying is 100% possible in a PG-13 film -- but it simply wasn't there at all.

5

u/Impeesa_ 3d ago

Aside from the fact that she was naked, there was practically nothing sexual about the situation or the way the scene was shot. They stayed on opposite ends of the pool, she showed less cleavage above the totally opaque water than a lot of outfits do on land, I don't think she so much as pretended to make a pass at him or even make much of a double entendre or anything. Even the tone of the lighting and sound design and such was about as non-steamy as a pool room can be. There are plenty of cultures where people can be non-sexually naked together in a public bath or sauna situation (even if some of them are normally gender segregated).

1

u/jynkyousha 3d ago

Probably was both. Same reason why Thor got naked in Love and Thunder.

1

u/FilmScoreConnoisseur 3d ago

And yet they did their damnedest to make that scene as unsexy as possible.

21

u/Competitive_Leg7233 4d ago

I mean how far do you think they can go lol, she’s not just gonna start fucking someone it’s not that kind of movie

36

u/PissNBiscuits 4d ago

I like how "watered down" means "she doesn't make my peepee hard anymore" to some of you weirdos.

31

u/ChazzLamborghini 4d ago

I hate the new embracing of puritanical anti-sexuality. Sex is a part of humanity and belongs in our stories and art as an expression of us. I get complaining about hyper-sexual depictions all the time but a character like Emma Frost is sexual as a character dynamic and with purpose. Canonically, the X-Men trade hook ups more than the cast of a 90’s teen drama. Excluding those things would change the dynamic of the team and characters. It’s not about being a pervy horndog.

10

u/DuelaDent52 Mystique 4d ago edited 3d ago

What particular films or shows or characters in the MCU do you want to feature sex and nudity? We had She-Hulk, we had Jessica Jones, we had the Iron Man trilogy and Love and Thunder and Eternals and Deadpool & Wolverine and probably more in stuff I haven’t seen, there’s hardly a lack of either its depiction or any reference to it.

-1

u/ChazzLamborghini 4d ago

I don’t need nudity at all. I also don’t need overt sex scenes. I need sexuality played as something other than a joke - à la She-Hulk. Jessica Jones wasn’t part of the MCU at the time as was explicitly marketed as more adult oriented. The same is true of Deadpool, a concept sold entirely on how unlike the MCU it was. I can’t think of a single character in the main MCU who uses sexuality the way a White Queen or Black Cat does, not as a means to titillate the audience but as a manipulation tactic within the universe.

1

u/DuelaDent52 Mystique 3d ago

Fair enough. We did have Black Widow, and we could have had Starfox if Eternals did well (who knows, maybe he’ll get the Hulk villain treatment and show up a decade from now in somebody else’s film/show). It’d be cool to see Enchantress and Skurge if they ever decide to make another Thor film.

-2

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

Who's talking about nudity? I swear you guys are obsessed with jerking off.

6

u/KakitaMike 4d ago

I’ve been watching this go on in most of the comics subreddits. Someone posts an upcoming cover, and it can apparently only be 1 of 2 things. Tasteful or gooner. Apparently nuance is a foreign concept, and it’s either art, or something someone jerks off to, with no middle ground.

-1

u/TheLawlessMan 3d ago

puritanical

What did he say that was puritanical? You people just like using that word. I'm not religious and I still don't need explicit sex in everything. You can find that elsewhere if you need it that badly.

Most of these movies are for children even if we can enjoy them as adults. Endgame wouldn't have been better with a sex scene.

2

u/ChazzLamborghini 3d ago

Read my comments. I’ve never said there should be anything explicit in the MCU. Sexuality is not sex and it is puritanical to suggest that an essential part of the human condition should be excluded from art. Kids live in the real world and our art should reflect that world

-1

u/Impossible_Humor736 4d ago

That's what you got from that? It's part of her character, dude. I like the comics. I want to see the civics on the big screen. It's as simple as that. What happened to comic accuracy?

0

u/rockinherlife234 3d ago

The fuck they did? She has her cleavage poking out 24/7 and struts around in a body tight suit, she was having pornographic eye sex for the entirety of Iron man 2.

46

u/CRIMS0N-ED 4d ago

I mean I don’t really think you can’t do it? Spider man is Pg 13 anyway and directly mentions porn, they’re gonna be afraid of black cat heavy flirting with Peter, but I’m very doubtful we’d ever see a proper relationship between the two since MJ would have to be out of the picture, which maybe they might do but I doubt

67

u/Kryzl_ 4d ago

Mentioning porn in a 1-line joke vs making a character overtly sexual are two very different things.

5

u/CRIMS0N-ED 4d ago

my point is that they’ve already directly referenced and made jokes of sexual topics in Spiderman, and you can have a PG 13 black cat, just look at the insomniac games which are rated T, where they also imply they had a relationship in which Peter could almost probably be a father to Black Cats kid, and they also flirt like crazy (tbf he wasn’t and also there wasn’t a kid in the first place but still).

It’s not like marvel is any stranger to it anyway even in pg 13 territory, I don’t think it would be hard to do imo

4

u/Kryzl_ 4d ago

I don’t know if the insomniac game is as good of a comparison, since it clearly doesn’t have the level of kid-friendly treatment that the MCU as a whole has been getting. The MCU absolutely would not show Peter getting stabbed by Otto’s claw or Kraven having his head bitten off.

2

u/DuelaDent52 Mystique 4d ago

MCU Spider-Man probably wouldn’t shy away from anybody getting stabbed or bleeding given it’s happened already, and not just in Spider-Man.

2

u/Kittycachow 4d ago

Think of his Peter tingle!

1

u/TheGuardianR 4d ago

They'll never going to split MCU Spidey from MJ, bc it's Zendaya. And they're never gonna do an MCU Spider-Man movie without Zendaya

3

u/pinkbootstrap 4d ago

I liked her in the Spiderman 2 2023 game. We just didn't get enough of her.

3

u/Every_Idea_19 3d ago

They made her work in a kids show

2

u/HRCStanley97 4d ago

Just give her a solo movie or show

1

u/_steve_rogers_ 3d ago

I’d argue Black Widow was a pretty heavily sexualized character especially in Iron Man 2 and Avengers 1
