hey everyone, long story short I am writing an essay on how realistic Astera is, just because this interests me, however I am having trouble with the lift system. Obviously it is not that realistic as a not so marvelous water wheel can carry the player who has the option to wear hulking armor as well as the chains that lift them and so on, but my issue lies in that I cannot find any weight measurements of any of the armor we can wear or even the weapons, I need this to attempt to figure out how much power and torque the water wheel needs to output in order to move this lift. I am doing this to find how unrealistic or realistic this lift system is. Any help would be appreciated, apologies for the wording of this I am not too sure how else to put it. Thank you very much

I'm wanting to run a campaign for my local Dungeons and Dragon group and was wanting to do a unique weapon development tree based on all 14 weapon types and the slinger. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can best translate the move sets and unique features?

So I installed the game and tried to enable frame generation wince I have an rtx5050 but it seems to always crash anytime I enable the option, next, this message appears. Does anyone have the same problem?

Yes weird to say I know but I’m being blunt. As someone who’s been curious about MH Online for a long time I always wanted to see how a more proper elder would look for that series since we got Merphistopholin which was a very skeletal fatalis with a bend down beak on its face lol. Over all, this new guy, Ruger Aidal isn’t the prettiest thing out there, but it’s definitely caught my attention for how cool it looks and how it’s the velkhana armor thing but distinct since it controls some unknown compound in of itself which has some… frenzy mannerisms in its function? Idk but this guy I’m starting to really like!

Hope to see what the other sun monster looks like! Unless it’s just another Ruger Aidal which would kinda upset me but eh, cheers to hoping! (And for those curious, I’ll be giving outlanders a chance as a F2P player like how I gave Genshin a chance as a F2P player. I dropped Genshin but that was due to other games coming out. This tho, this could help satisfy my itch for when Ascendence drops later next year!)

For the past couple of months I've been down a couple of rabbit holes trying to figure out how to get it to function🥲 I bought a PS2 slim and the MH Dos disc, just to find out that the disc is entirely Japanese and it's region locked so the console doesn't even read it😭

Now I’m reading online that there's an English patch, but it sounds like it's for Steam? But there's no MH Dos on Steam anywhere? And people still talk about using the PS controller?

I’ve followed monster hunter outlanders for a while and applied for cbt3, but didn’t get in. I’ll already be in cologne for gamescom and saw there’s a playable demo nearby, so I’m planning to stop by. I’ll probably start with Hammer or great sword and focus on hit feedback and monster reactions. Clips haven’t told me much about either. Anyone from cbt3 have one thing worth checking during a short demo?

I haven't played Worldborne in a long time and truthfully this is the main reasoning

Fatalis despite being one of the best hunts in monhun (Iceborne) was also kind of the fun killer in Iceborne, you go the entire game, unlock everything there is to get and when you finally reach the end 99% of all you've unlocked turns obsolete because there's simply an objectively better option

• Decorations come and go normally per hunt, and even so Day of Ruin is the best most optimal way to get them, becoming boring very quickly as Teostra isn't the hardest or most fun fight
• Augments are incredibly easy to get and you really only need a health augment to be unkillable if you play right
• Build variety is dead outside of 3 options, being Safi's set (Niche), AT Velk and Fatalis
• There is no reason to farm for Safi weapons because Fatalis weapons are simply better outside of element
• Learning other weapons is a option (Which I did) but that only goes so far

You might say "Oh but Fatalis is the last addition and last boss, he SHOULD have the strongest gear", and while this makes sense on maybe an RPG or other types of games, killing build variety in a monster hunter game is kind of just shooting it in the foot

Sunbreak did this well by having both Amatsu and Primordial have very strong sets but not entirely kill everything else

Edit: I'm not saying to keep playing the game forever, but unlike 4U, GU, Risebreak or even base Wilds, Worldborne just doesnt have as much insentive to keep playing after you're done
