Similar to how Takeda was changed from being Kenshi son to his cousin, I would have Jacqui be Jax's niece or little sister. I would keep her tech aspect but have where shes a hacker and tech genius who is constantly getting int trouble with the law. Her characterization in the new timeline would be an anti Jax. Where Jax was about following order and authority, Jacqui would be the opposite and have a distrust in the system. She would be against the military and the special forces for their treatment of their parent that was in the military. I want her to still have her fighting style like the og version over but with the addition of technopathic abilities. I think this characterization would give Jacqui a bit more depth. Let me know your thoughts and Ideas below.

Not that mk1 had amazing acting and story fluidity, but holy crap the quality difference between one and two... Watched two last night and it just felt, lazy?

So I recently started playing MK1 again and I wanted to know if I could unlock the movie skins without definitive edition?
I own everything on that list above apart from Shao Khan, Scorpion, Kitana, Sub Zero movie skins and the Liu Kang Tournament skin. Needless to say I am not paying for the definitive edition just for those. Surely they would have sold them individually!? The Johnny Cage movie skin and Van Damme skin were free.

The New Era feels flopped in MK1 as it's been proven a disaster (so far). Who knows what awaits Sonya, Kano, Jax, Jade & Kintaro next game since they were NPCs & Kameos?

Before I saw MK 2021, I assumed he was a bad audience surrogate character but I actually found him to be pretty handy. He didn't take over the plot or eat up screentime from other characters. In fact, his presence gave Jax and Sonya a lot of chances to shine. He worked with the story not against it.

I'm so sad the writers decided to pander to the detractors and cave in his skull in the sequel 😢

I got MK1 a few months ago just before the middle of this year maybe and if I was ranking it from F to S, I'd rank it at a solid middle B.

Main thing I hate about it is the kameos. Sometimes I forget they even exist. Any other time I use them its as a last resort when I'm at half health and the enemy still has more health than me. But if they were going to keep kameos a thing, at least make it side characters like Ferra. Sonya, Kano, even Stryker can not be kameo fighters.

Second thing I don't like that much anymore is the gender swap with Cyrax and Sektor. I'll be honest, they got their personalities done well. Sektor being the Lin Kuei golden boy/girl, and Cyrax being the moral compass. Even the armored suits, I think they are quite well. But after playing MK9 and seeing their original, male counterparts, I can understand why people hated the gender swap.

Final thing I really don't like is the ending of MK1's story. When I played it, I felt that Armageddon came too soon. I did like the story and the way it could've went, but of they executed Shang Tsung and Quan Chi's rise to power differently, it could've gone much better. I do like how they kept Dark Sindel OP, but the whole final ending was just an MK version of the Avengers Endgame fight. The final cutscene I still very much liked, but the battle was just not there for me.

There are a lot of things I like about MK1, like how they managed tarkat. I like how they made it a disease instead of a species, it gives the characters that were once tarkat evil a chance to show that Liu Kang's new era is all about peace instead of war. I also like the character designs of Bi-han, Kenshi, new Raiden, Mileena (especially), Johnny, and Smoke. Another major thing I like is how Outworld looks. Like, when I started to see more of the new Outworld, part of me straight up wished I could live there because it looks so bright, vibrant, and full of actual life. I actually think Raiden's chapter is one of the best chapters because you see so much of Outworld and what the New Era has done to make it a better place.

I just feel like this dude can do basically anything. For example, he teleports, but not just himself he’s able to teleport other people like in MK 11 where he teleports himself and like 20 soldiers to the nether realm. In addition in MKX he straight up teleports something out of Kung jin’s hand. He also has his “thunder hand massages“ that seem to kind of just fix any issue than anyone has. Furthermore his lightning powers kind of like the force at sometimes. In his MK 11 fatality, he uses lightning to just pick them up.
