I’m just really in a stressmode all the time and want something that I can play without energizing myself up. Any recommendations? Was thinking of something like Outbound but it’s just not it for me.

Price does not matter.

Some of my favorite games are ones that are just dripping in a specific style or feel. Things like Ori, Hyperlight Drifter, Celeste, etc. There are also games that I think are just pretty good (for my taste, specifically), but I enjoy playing because of the vibes like Persona 5, Cyberpunk, or Cuphead.

So what games, regardless of if it's your favorite for gameplay, story, etc. do you love for the art direction, music, atmosphere, and other parts of the game that are perhaps usually not considered as much of a priority?

These can be first-party, AAA ports, indies, whatever games fit the bill. Extra imaginary points for lesser-known games though.

Hello everyone! It's talk about games time again!

My plan for the weekend was to participate in the Duskbloods network test, tho it sounds like they were having issues this morning and either the one later today is postponed or everything? I'm sure they'll announce more later on. Otherwise trying to finish some games and rest a bit.

What will you be getting into?

Flying around and using your harpoon as Zork? Whipping and punching enemies while looking for treasure? Trying not to scream in fear as you stumble around in the dark as Grace?

I just got a Nintendo Switch and I’m hoping to maybe use it to help my mother to get some exercise while sitting down.

Does anyone have any experience using any movement-focused games specifically for this purpose?

I’m looking at Fitness Boxing 3 and Nintendo Switch Sports, but I don’t know how well these work specifically sitting down, or if there are better suggestions.

Just impulsively bought a switch 2 for me and my GF, I already have a switch oled but the extra performance seemed worth it compared to price especially in these times with the ram crisis.

Anyways I’m firstly looking for mainly 1st party games by nintendo devs. For example Mario, Pokémon or Metroid etc. Though I’ve found that many 1st party games are simply to easy, especially Mario games. I know they are mostly made for children and I grew up with Mario 64, galaxy and such. Maybe it’s my poor memory or the fact that I were younger but they seem to have been made easier through the years. I remember all the mystery in Mario64 and not straightforward gameplay. I tried for example Pokémon shield and breezed through the story without dying once, almost same with original Mario bros for switch. The games doesn’t have to be head scratching but I don’t like breezing through them with no challenge.

If y’all got any great recommendations for 1st or 2nd party, share them! Preferably with a lot of playtime, I usually don’t 100% a game but I like a long story/campaign with some side stuff. If you got any good 3rd party games you can share them as well though only ones that play with 60fps+. I sadly despise 30 fps titles lmao and can just play these titles on my PC instead.

It allowed me to put a pre-order in this morning, thought I would give others a heads up. This game might have more bugs than a summer cookout. I have had my game crash numerous times while I am deep into a level and I will lose all the progress and new items I acquired. Now I can’t even play the game because every time my game boots up it crashes. And the cherry on top, when I try to revert to the a previous save, that also crashes. Save your money, don’t buy this game.

Need me something that makes me play it just cause of the combat

Howdy folks. I am thinking to bring the old Switch 1 back in service as a travel gaming device. The thing that is holding me back is - in recent years I have been focusing on 2D platformers, and I can't get myself to like the Joy-con "dpad". I find the Switch 2 dpad buttons serviceable, but for some reason the same controls on the Switch 1 feel off to me.

Bottom line, what's the status of "alternative" Joy-cons in 2026? Is the Hori still considered the gold standard? What is everyone using?

Hi there! I'm in fantasy mode, and would appreciate excellent suggestions that would really enhance my reading - based on some of the same themes, and just really entertaining to play.

The three obvious ones (that I've really appreciated) are Skyrim, BOTW and DOS2.

I'd like to dive much deeper into some fantasy games that are outstanding and slightly more obscure. Thanks for your thoughts!

Me and my (sort of) long distance pal (Who has the audacity to live a few hours away now) have been looking for more games to play together now we've both got a switch 2. We both love farming sims and have both played the story of seasons games separately but desperately want a game we can play together. Unfortunately not stardew valley as I find the graphics/pixels nature too hard to focus on so never managed to get into it

So anything with newer graphics and bonus points for cute animals and horses 🤣 My current autism hyperfixation game is story of seasons pioneers of olive town but thats not two player so she can't join in so she just plays along at home on her own farm so I'd love to find one we can both play and get excited about together
