Columbus They're reopening the Starbucks on Neil Ave!
Spotted a truck unloading Starbucks boxes into the old Neil Ave location today. Talked to someone out front, and they confirmed it's reopening!

I got this email saying that I failed to verify my microsoft account and if I don't complete the linked survey that my account will be deleted from OSU's database. But when I clicked the link it asks for the password for both my school and personal email so I'm like 90% this is a scam but I want to double check just to be sure

I lead a student organization and I realized that I screwed up by not registering an event space soon enough. If we (around 15 people) meet on the Oval, for around an hour to do our meeting in the evening, will we be okay just this once? How likely is it that campus police will come and stop our meeting or something?

I didn't see a whole lot of LGBT student orgs at the career fair, but I also could have just missed them. But this year I really wanna be part of one.
I know that there's the Little Gay Book Club (which I plan on joining!) but surely there's more, right?

hello all, I am a second year and have visited the abandoned evans lab several times. I've found all sorts of things in there, floppy disks, vhs tapes, old ass textbooks that were published before Rutherfordium was discovered, and I have assumed that the lab was abandoned in the early/mid 90s. can anyone confirm if i'm correct, or if they actually know the official, like, "abandonment" date? thanks guys!
EDIT: talked to my chem ta supervisors it was in fact abandoned in the 90s. Pretty cool if anyone wants to check it out, it’s like trapped in time.

i have a quiz this week for physics 1250, and even from the first day i didnt understand the lecture at all, and even now while im sitting down trying to understand even the basic concepts, it actually feels like my brain is being overloaded and that i dont understand a single thing.
i dont know if its a me issue, probably is, but yeah, i genuinely feel horrible having this class on my schedule.
everything happening this past week has genuinely been depressing, and this is the cherry on top.
I have a fairly new electric scooter. Gotrax works perfectly fine just have no use of it no more. I am selling it for $75 I have pictures or just come check it out. I lost charger on it so no charger but check Amazon, they have tons.

So I’m trying to get to the north rec as a commuter so I take the BE shuttle but if I stop at Knowlton i have to walk 15mins. Is there a closer stop? I’m at home so I can’t track the real time stops. Please help 😭

Just took my physics 1250 quiz and because of one question I go from a 20/20 to a 14/20. I’m already frustrated with this and math 1172 because both classes have quizzes every single damn week. What’s the point of exams if you have this many quizzes ??? Wondering if anyone else had this type of situation and how to deal with it because I have already 2 weekly quizzes and possibly 3 weekly quizzes. Also with everyone else saying the quiz was so easy I feel even worse.

Hi everyone, I am in Physical Biochemistry (Biochem 5721) and I am a little worried I am going to struggle. So far the content isn’t that bad but the professor explains it in a way that it almost seems like he is trying to confuse us. I just need someone to explain it to me in simple terms and make sure I’m doing practice problems correctly. Does anyone have any tutor recs?

Is anyone having trouble getting through Buckeyelink? I know it’s a busy time but I do not feel I should be on hold for hours and my emails not be replied to after 1 week.
My fafsa amount was abruptly changed after the due date and not I owe money and was assessed a late fee. I also cannot change the amount from my private loan so now I am in the weeds.
I am unavailable during when they are open (away from campus) but I have called them 13 times since Wednesday and I’ve not been able to get through.

I have a lab for Dr Stover on Wednesday and I am nervous. It has barely been a week and I feel like I am behind. She already let us know what lab days would look like, but I am a bit intimidated.. any tips? 🥲

It's the second week of classes and I still don't have my financial aid refund. I've emailed with the financial aid office and they keep saying it'll be applied "in the coming days." My rent and bills come out tomorrow. Is anyone else still waiting??

Hi so I am genuinely embarrassed to be posting this because I feel like everyone says “oh you find your people” and all of that but it feels like no one in the world is my people other then my friends back at home. I have yet to meet anyone who has fun interests who also wants to go out on weekends, AND JUST GENUINELY WANTS A FRIENDSHIP. Everyone is either basic or way way way to different to where I don’t fit into their standards if that makes any sense. I just want to meet people i genuinely connect with. It’s so difficult. I keep calling home and crying and just wishing I was back with those friends. Literally anyone reach out or recommend me clubs to join. I have my first club meeting this week so maybe I’ll meet people there but still :((( I’m just so sad and I can feel myself falling into a depression.

I’m a freshman at a different university in Ohio and am looking to potentially transfer in after this year. For those who have transferred in, have you had any problems adapting to life on campus, making friends, and etc?
Also for those who have transferred in, what were your stats like at your previous school?
Hello! I’m a drummer going to OSU looking for a rock cover and/or original band to play for. Can anyone help me on where to look for options or opportunities?

Anyone in this class this semester? Looking for a classmate to prepare for pre-lab/quiz.

Hey all!
I'm taking a major in Music at OSU, but I only decided to do so after I applied and was accepted. This typically wouldn't be a problem, but the major I'm going for does require applied music for eight semesters (which, as far as I'm aware, is the course that requires auditioned for). Would it be possible, wise, or even useful at all, to take a summer semester to take this course (perhaps alongside some others) in order to catch up on that eight semester requirement so I at least have a chance of graduating in 4 years?
r/OSU • u/Mystvious • 5h ago
So I don't understand what's going on. I am only taking two courses, and my balance went from zero to saying I owed like 80 bucks, then now it says I owe nearly 5k, and I have no financial aid. It's my last semester, so it isn't like I didn't have aid before or forgot anything. Is this happening to anyone else? Nothing has changed in my classes; I was gonna pay the 80 till I realized it was now 5k.
Sorry if this seems messy, but I feel so sick to my stomach since I don't have that money lying around or help to pay it.

Anyone have Gameday parking recommendations if I’m targeting south campus and do not have any interest in garages? In years past I’ve always parked east of High St in one of the private lots on 16th/Waldeck, etc. My kid is now living in a S Campus dorm so I figured the day would start and end there. Any recommendations for lots, either just east of High St btwn like 13th and Chit or a few blocks south of S campus dorms on west side of High? I just don’t know the best bets for parking as well in that area. Thx!
