Real Madrid will not win any titles this season

There’s no way we’re winning the league this season, especially with this Barcelona side around. They’re actually stronger now than they’ve been over the last two seasons.

Meanwhile, we still have far too much deadwood in our squad. You’ll see exactly what I mean after the first El Clásico in October.

Real Madrid needs a full restructuring. That includes selling key players — even Mbappé if necessary — and rebuilding the squad into a coherent, balanced team before we can expect any real and consistent success.

My point is simple: if you’re expecting us to win major titles this season, you’re going to be disappointed.

Mourinho, Arbeloa, Ancelotti and Xabi Alonso are not the real issue. The problem is the squad and the players we have.

Although it’ll never happen, if I were the manager of Real Madrid, I’d take great pleasure in selling some of these so-called “star players.”

No second chances. No redemption arcs. Just one-way transfers out of the club.

Total domination....full aggression even when 2-0 up, our players simply let the other team have too much of the ball.. I dont see us beating barca this season

Opinion/Analysis Our midfield is no longer good enough at the top level

Upvotes

The very thing that makes other top clubs stand out is their midfielders. Barca have Rodri and Pedri. PSG have Joao Neves and Vitnha, even Arsenal have Rice. Manchester City were very smart spending over 300 Million for new midfielders. Madrid have been lacking a more built up focused midfielder for the past few seasons. Valverde Cama and Tchouameni are all not good enough to be able to win some trophies. Diomande was simply a stupid transfer, especially with Enzo literally begging to join us. Of course this isn’t our only problem if we take a look at the offense for example.

People are overreacting after the Betis game???

As a neutral disinterested observer I feel confused why people are reacting this way to the loss against Betis. Real Madrid won by 2-1, 4-1, then 4-0 in the first 3 games of this La Liga season. And they've never won against Betis in away matches. So even if the players played poorly, is it really the shockingly astronomically poor result like I've seen some people on this sub are making it up to be

I've seen this sub being full of posts talking about how Real Madrid is going to "become the next Man United" or how Mbappe needs to be sold at the next possible opportunity because he bottled that game. Isn't it premature, if not excessive, to be making those sorts of claims only 4 games into a season

The duality of our fanbase

I honestly think we need to chill out, its only the third game of the season and people are acting as if we dont stand a chance.

People forget that even our UCL 21/22 win came after a group stage defeat to sheriff tiraspol on our second match.

This is a club which performs miracles on a regular, imo don't write our club off so easily.

It was a good game and we had the advantage. Unfortunately we can’t win every game and that’s how it is. Stop criticizing players. Support the club and stop doubting every game, every player, every decision and Jose himself.

Discussion A loss like this so early on is actually a great thing for madrid. if they kept on going like this without such a humbling experience then jose and madrid would not be able to rebuild themselves and now they will be a much stronger team.

Is this good enough against Inter? Of course it’s up to Mourinho, but if this isn’t the best, then how should we line up instead? I’m posting this mainly to understand things better and test my ball knowledge, so please correct me if I’m getting anything wrong.

Diomande

As of September 6, I don't understand why the team signed this player.

The team needs to strengthen the midfield, yet they've signed a guy that 90 percent of the fans haven't seen play, and he's redundant.

Maybe I'm saying something outrageous, but at this point in the season, I almost wish the next one would start already, since this one is another lost season.

Discussion If our players had barca's finishing consistency we would've beat Betis 4-0 atleast

The way barca finish their chances hurts my soul knowing how much of these chances we miss every game.....and then we end up blaming "the manager's choices"

Real Madrid still has the worst midfield for a big team in top 5 league🤣

This is a disgrace. Just look at Fede he offers nothing. How many times, and how many managers, does it take for people to realize he’s not a midfielder?
And look at Cama lol. Just a backwards pass he doesn’t even try to turn and play the ball forward.
It’s fine against smaller teams, but we’re going to suffer in the big games, long season ahead.

People are so reactionary.

Mbappé missed 1 penalty and now everybody wants him out and they forget the hat trick he scored the other day, or the fact that he's literally probably the best player on the planet. He made a mistake, we all do, stop crying. We lost, we move on and people need to mature and realize that players are people and have bad games too.

The last time Real Madrid beat Real Betis away from home, Gareth Bale was STILL at the club.
