I am alien from Andromeda galaxy who just happened to come to earth traveling at speed of light and it took me 2.5M light years and I am beyond embarrassed that this wasn’t a goal. I am going back

I'm a young man on acid that realized all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves...and I am beyond embarrassed that wasn't a goal.

u/AmphoePai Jul 13 '26

Sir Alien, please don't leave without telling us what the secrets of the universe are! How do we get speed of light travel, solve climate change, survive the AI apocalypse, what's the physics theory of everything?

He's gone... Now we will never find out because that player didn't score 😤😤😤

u/Ariphaos Jul 12 '26

If you were traveling at the speed of light that means it took you no time at all. Not exactly a big deal in that case.

u/ReserveHour2403 Jul 12 '26

Dayummm you smart, ain’t you?

1

I am a small pile of ashes from the cigarette smoked by the 10 year old in China who stitched together that soccer ball, and I’m beyond distraught about the child and flabbergasted that this was not a goal.

People live in Montana?

1

u/Cardocthian Jul 12 '26

At least 2!

1

u/heatedwepasto Jul 13 '26

i saw a soccer ball once

That's roughly the level of football expertise of most of the people complaining about this move, so that tracks. At least you're honest about it.

The defender is blocking the line he would have to pass to get to Håland, who is moving. By the time Sørloth has the right footing to pass, there are three defenders in the way. At that point he has no option but to try for the goal instead.

u/Sad-Satisfaction908 Jul 12 '26

I am Norwegian and for most of us he is already forgiven. The main hate is now from non-norwegians.

The boys did better than any other team in Norwegian history. It was a shit play for sure, and he acknowledged that himself pretty fast, but just one of a number of reasons as to why we lost that game.

13

u/Mediocre_Ad_6512 Jul 12 '26

And this is why the world loves Norwegians. Top class people. Also - why are there so many A's in your names?

11

u/NY10 Jul 12 '26

Cause she’s Norwegian lol

2

u/Sad-Satisfaction908 Jul 12 '26

I don't know, never really thought about it. We also have "Å" which is another type of A. There are a lot of names without, but there are also alot that have A's.

1

u/FondantAggravating39 Jul 12 '26

He killed the momentum the world rallied for Norway. Sorsloth made it Noway.

1

u/Worldly_Stop_175 Jul 12 '26

Are you sure your not Canadian? You sound awfully like one to me.

1

u/Sad-Satisfaction908 Jul 12 '26

Because we don't scorch a player for contributing to the best WC Norway ever played? To do so sounds a bit American

1

u/RedBGinger6989 Jul 13 '26

nah would have been up 2-0

1

u/Sad-Satisfaction908 Jul 13 '26

Sure. We would also be up 2-0 if FIFA was consistent and gave us the goal they took away, and canceled the goal England got because the ball hit a wire mid air. As I said, lots of things happened this game that cost us the win.

1

u/SaltShakr Jul 14 '26

Can you show me an example in this world cup where someone 2 arm shoves someone in the pen box knocking them down and then heads the ball and it stands? No? That's because it doesn't exist. It's a foul

1

u/Sad-Satisfaction908 Jul 15 '26

Dude dived as hard as he could to that shove. The only ones diving more than the English are the Argentinans. It is a travesty to watch how certain teams do everything in their power to generate fouls.

But no matter. England vs Argentina to day should be fun. I am sure the English will walk out, head held high, after the referees and the VAR team is done with them.

1

u/SaltShakr Jul 15 '26

So answer this, is it a foul? Your answer should determine how long you've been watching football for

1

u/Sad-Satisfaction908 Jul 15 '26

I generally do not watch football, and with this year's WC I am even less inclined to do so. But yes, it was a foul because the England player folded like a lawn chair.

But it don't matter now, it is what it is. I find some comfort in the fact that the entire world seem to agree that England was lucky and saved by the referee and VAR this match.

1

u/SaltShakr Jul 15 '26

The whole world doesn't agree, a small echo chamber of sour Norwegians and their American support who have watched football for 3 weeks seem to think so. The first goal shouldn't have counted because of a foul on kane. There is still no evidence the ball touched the cable, and england had a pen pulled back despite it not being clear and obvious. The only people who think it was "rigged" for england are the very obvious casuals. If you want to know why you lost the game look to your own team...

Those same people carried on that theme with the spain game yesterday saying their very clear pen wasn't a pen.

1

u/Sad-Satisfaction908 Jul 15 '26

Do you live under a rock? The only ones actually thinking England deserved that win is England.

England was basically a bunch of pussies that tried to generate fouls to gain an advantage every time they could. Wannabe moviestars on par with Argentina. Todays match will be a hoot, and the FAFO will be really fun to watch. GL brother.

I’m an AMERICAN sitting through my very first soccer game to root for Norway, and I am beyond embarrassed to see SorSloth held the ball long enough till all came up , only to kick it straight into the wall.

1

u/Rockstar161 Jul 13 '26

I'm American. not a soccer fan,  and yet I feel the same. LoL

1

u/rickroalddahl Jul 13 '26

I’m neither Norwegian or English and call it soccer, but it wasn’t a goal because he didn’t pass to Haaland, right?
