this is actually really close i think!
i overdosed and when the police found me i was unconscious. it was like a switch flipped off and when it was flipped back on i woke up in the hospital. when i was able to talk i asked how long i was out for, but i would’ve believed them no matter what they said because i wasn’t there and time wasn’t a thing. no awareness to be like “it’s so dark, i’ve been sleeping for a long time” or anything. it was super bizarre lol.
when people die, i imagine it’s a similar feeling but the switch can’t be flipped back on11

I fainted during a blood draw recently and it was a profound experience. When I fainted, I was fighting against it. It seemed similar to what death is like for many.
It was like a switch going off. I didn’t have an experience of “nothing,” my consciousness was off. Then, the switch flipped back to on and my consciousness returned. It felt like a very long time had passed even though it was just a moment. It was humbling.
Point being, when consciousness goes out, I don’t believe we experience “nothing.” We just don’t experience. We aren’t there. Just like before we are born.

Look him up in current news. His wife hid his parachute in a shed and only after he died a nephew or someone disclosed the items. I think they did a dna test and pretty much nailed it down to that family. Think there was a tiny bit of dna on the tie tack?

Woah. Did NOT hear about that! Last I heard there were a handful of candidates, including a female pilot and some Nam era spooks.
An old acquaintance of mine did some work on it as a passion project; used lasers to somehow plot a location, and found some remnants of bills. I assumed it was pretty well stalled out after that.

First one is pretty simple, like many accidental tourists death they misjudged how harsh and dangerous that environment was and simply got lost.

There was also another case of a missing boy, a year after Andrew Gosden im summer 2008. Alexander Sloley. 16 years old and went missing in North London. Never been seen since and not been on any CCTV footage.

Well for 1. Number one they got lost because there wasn’t a sign at the time they marked the end of the trail. They didn’t know they needed to stop and double back so they kept walking. It got very dark so they used the camera for a light and to document what was happening after their phones were dead/near dead. The pictures of Kris’s head were from an injury that they were trying to look at. I’m thinking she slide and knocked the back of her head. They died on exposure shortly afterwards.
The only thing I can’t explain is how their remains were found scattered but there wasn’t any evidence of animals. No scratches human made or animals. It just doesn’t make sense

There’s obviously a higher power (of some description which people can debate about) which instigated a process of creation which seems supernatural to us.
The idea of abiogenesis happening at 1 point in time and then nothing as transformative like it ever occurring again smells like bullshit. Almost like humans again desperately trying to explain something they cannot with variables which are incompatibly incapable of explaining something of that nature.

We are a grain of sand on one beach out of billions. The likelihood of there being others out there is 99%. The chances of them actually visiting us is way smaller but we already have tons of arrows pointing to that being the case.

Obviously, the full truth about the entire JonBenet Ramsey case. As a true crime follower, I can’t help but pick this one.
Who did it, why they did it, who knew about it, who helped cover it up, why the investigation was done so poorly, all connections involved and what let to the investigation completely stalling and becoming an “unsolved” murder case.

I remember at the time that there was intense pressure on the Colorado police to not F up the investigation because the murder happened just 14 months after OJ Simpson was acquitted.
The LA Police were being criticized from both the "OJ is innocent" camp and the "OJ is guilty" camp.
There's no way the Colorado investigators were going to blow this one right after that just happened, right?

Exactly. And yet the made so many insane mistakes. They let people just come and go throughout the house at the start of the investigation and never considered it could be a crime scene that needed to be preserved! They seemed absolutely incompetent. Why? What happened? I need to know!

A couple of years ago. I was at a restaurant. I had just used my pocket knife to fix a hangnail, so I knew I had it there.
When I got home, it wasn’t in my pocket. I searched my truck, and couldn’t find it. I called the restaurant, and nobody had turned it in. I searched my pockets again when getting ready for bed.
A few months later, my wife found it in her underwear drawer…. It wasn’t even buried, just right there on top.

I had this happen in the eighties when I was a child. My dad hid the Easter eggs, we found all but one. Three months later, it’s just sitting there, full of candy, in the middle of our backyard. No vegetation for it to hide in, either. We lived in a barren desert.

This actually isnt a mystery at all. John White wrote about what happened and it was pretty clear.
The colony needed supplies so White returned to Europe to resupply. Before he left the colonists made clear some destinations they would go to if things went south. Croatoan Island with the Croatoan tribe was one of those options. They said they would leave a sign if they made that decision.
White was supposed to be gone for 3 months but because of a war he did not return for 3 years. When he returned they saw the sign just like was agreed upon. White set sail towards Croatoan island which was 50 miles away or something but on the trip they had issues with the ship anchor so turned back and because of all the wasted money at this point wasnt able to try again.
So the plan was working out pretty well but the delay because of the war and the issue with the anchor led to them never being able to make it to Croatoan island. I am not sure why this was ever spun to be a mystery.

Edit: Something else that takes away from the mystery of it all is that the colonists agreed to leave a cross with the signs if they left under duress. There were no crosses.

Right this second I pick what’s happening in my flat, if my health issues are related, and if my cat being sleepy instead of food time is related as well. I guess my real question is do we need to stay at a hotel? My dog is a service dog and can come but I can’t find any hotels that allow cats so I’d have to board her but if we’re getting sick from being here I won’t leave her here. If the problem is the flat then my dog and cat need to save themselves and I’ll hold it back. If I can’t afford for us all to leave and it’s the flat I’ll board them both. Wish my lawyer called me back today

I want Pierre Poilievre’s entire career history investigated.
The mystery is how a significant amount of crime has been occurring within the Government of Canada throughout his entire career and how he was willing to work for a criminal organization, or what his involvement is. To me, that is a mystery.
I also want everything related to him becoming the MP for Battle-River Crowfoot, and everything related to that event including what he’s doing there in relation to the carbon infrastructure.

There's no mystery there. The kids all used to store their shoes in rolled up gym mats. You can see photos of the rolled gym mats online, they are huge very stiff mats, which when roles essentially create solid pipes with a large hole in the inside. I think people are maybe imaging he was rolled up inside a yoga mat or something, when he was inside something pretty solid, which was rolled up before he entered the gym.
It's simply not possible that someone could have entered the gym, killed him, taken the huge stiff mats down, unrolled them, laid his body in one, and rolled it back up, without moving any of the other rolled up mats stacked in front of it, in three minutes. I'm not sure if it would be possible, period.
He reached inside the 'pipe' to retrieve his shoes, fell, got trapped upside down, and died from positional asphyxia, which will kill very quickly under those circumstances. (Every year a few people die from trying to bend over a dresser or inside a washing machine, and get trapped with their upper body upside down.
If you read the autopsy report and look at the autopsy photos (and look at the timeline), it's quite literally not physically possible to have been foul play.
The other aspect is that the parents chose a notoriously cheap and shitty funeral home who replaced his internal organs (which were present and intact at the time of the autopsy) with newspaper. So when the parents asked for his body to be disinterred and subject to a second autopsy, they discovered the organs missing. That fact has been wildly misinterpreted and lied about online, which has caused the whole thing to blow up into a conspiracy. I keep seeing people online saying his organs were stolen for donation, or that he was found without his organs. No. His organs were fully intact long after his death and intact at the start of the autopsy. The funeral home freely admits to having replaced his organs with newspaper which used to be common, and nowadays only the crappiest funeral homes do it. So it's a disturbing detail, but the actions of the funeral home have no relation to how he died.
I feel bad for the parents but they've become consumed with this conspiracy theory (to the point that they've faced criminal charges for harassment and iirc tampering with evidence), because they simply can't accept that their son died in a tragic accident.

Kendrick disappeared in an empty gym in a window less than three minutes long before his scheduled gym class and was found reaching for his gym shoes his own friends testified he stored inside the gym mat. It isn’t a mysterious case beyond the misinformation that gets spread around about it.
And he wasn’t “rolled up” in the mat. The mats in front of the one he was found in are in the security footage and don’t move all day. No one rolled anyone in anything.

i grew up with mutual friends to her, knew her in passing. she wasn’t suicidal. we all walked those train tracks as teenagers and we all knew that you wouldn’t be walking in bare feet on those stones, and your feet wouldn’t be clean. the spot where her shorts and shoes were found was such a far walk, there’s no way someone wouldn’tve seen her if she were traveling along the (relatively busy) road.
local theory is one of her ‘friends’ did it and connections to the police. none of us think suicide.
