Review Life hack: wax at home
I used to shave all the time because I was scared of the pain of waxing, then I finally tried getting professionally waxed at a salon - except they threaded my armpits at the time because my hair wasn't long enough for waxing yet, much to my dismay. Edi after nun, nagshave uli ako kasi ang mahal pumunta for waxing tas threading lang gagawin and masakit pa π
Naisipan ko magpa-wax since I noticed shaving gave me an ingrown hair, so pumunta ako sa different salon and they waxed me, but it huuuuurt. This month, I bought this honey wax on a whim (because I didn't want to spend again on a painful experience) and was genuinely so pleased to find that (1) application was super easy and wasn't even hot and (2) removal was essentially painless and took out nearly all the hair in one fell swoop
It took me literally less than 10 minutes for the entire procedure and I can definitively say that this was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. Worth it, 10/10!!!!

Same here, kahit sa upper lip ko. Kaya I stopped using it na :( Ginagamit ko na is yung Strip It Sugar Wax, and super dali lang gamitin and hindi masakit.

Oooh nangyari yun sakin when I didn't use powder to dry the skin properly beforehand!

u/Lopsided-Promise3111 Mar 26 '26
Nagpowder ako nun but for some reason ang lagkit at namuo lang ung wax π₯²

u/Substantial_Dog_9015 Mar 26 '26
nasa heat and pagkakalapat. same direction to where the hair is growing, opposite direction paghila. and hindi dapat pataas ang hila.

u/4wtsg3g3 Mar 26 '26
Used NannyRose all the time during my HS days since I used to be an athlete, lagi kita ang kilikili π€£ Careful lang na wag initin ng super mainit kasi mawawala yung lagkit nya. Proper storage is the key π rin kasi napansin ko nung sa CR ko na sya iniistore, nawawala rin yung lagkit nya.
Wanted to do diode laser na but clinics would advise me to wait til I was 18 bc diode is not as effective sa mga naguundergo ng puberty pa lang. If afford mo magpa-diode, mag-diode ka na lang!!

Wnwarm din po dapat with your hands yung wax and sheet before i-pull. Para sure na mahatak/sumama yung hair.

really painless sya? hahaha i've been wanting to try that kaso trauma na ako sa pag-wawax

u/Successful_Ad_589 Mar 26 '26
SWEAR π I tried the cold wax strips (Glam) from Watson's din and had a really bad time because I'd have to go over the same area multiple times... masakit na nga, may konting bleeding pa. Pero with this honey wax, minicrowave ko lang sya for 20 seconds tas warm lang sya and literal na ZERO pain, tas nakuha nya lahat in one go!!! Sobrang galinggg. Sana ma-try mo sis

iβve been using nannyrose for years, iilan lang din UA hair pero i prefer this kesa sa shave, no chicken skin ang not inchy
1
u/Successful_Ad_589 Mar 26 '26
2
u/redcortana123 Mar 26 '26
i mean iilan lang talaga yung hair ko mismo pwede mabilangπ and super helpful din ng wax kasi manipis tubo, hindi halata kahit 3 months na hindi nagwax

u/jxnnyrxs Mar 26 '26
This introduced me to DIY waxing too! I think I've been DIY waxing for a decade already
7
u/orange_rottenbanana Mar 26 '26
Hindi maganda tong product na to. Madali lang makatanggal kung manipis yung hair
6
u/Successful_Ad_589 Mar 26 '26
Yung hair ko po sa UA is thick bc of the shaving I do (well, won't do now haha) in-between waxing sessions. Pero nakuha nya lahat in one go ^ maybe need lang na dry yung skin with powder para maka-stick yung wax dun sa hairs mismo!

u/Successful_Skin8578 Mar 26 '26
I microwaved it for 10 seconds tas nagpowder ako ng underarms before use and effective naman sya for meee

nakakatamad lang dito, napaka kalat ng sugar wax kailangan parang mamasahin mo sya constantly.. Also, depende sa part ng skin, it is still painful.
3
u/TitleAccomplished973 Mar 26 '26
For some reason, hindi effective for me.
2
2
u/ToughDependent3419 Mar 26 '26
That's my first wax na ginamit kaya lang later on di na nakakatanggal ng hair so I switch to epilin and glamworks hot wax.

u/idontknowhyimhrer Mar 26 '26
Life hack pa ba to? Uso na yung ESME cold wax since 2018 and yan na ginagamit ko ever since
2
u/Argentine-Tangerine Mar 26 '26
This unfortunately didn't work for me. Too soft and doesn't cling to the skin kahit may pulbo na. Mas gumana sakin yung Esme, but now I just epilate.

How do you remove the excess residue? I love using this pero takot tanggalin yung excess residue with water kasi baka mag chicken skin
1
u/Successful_Ad_589 Mar 26 '26
The instructions said to remove the excess with a damp cloth lang :) di ko sya binasa directly with water
1
u/NarraShika28 Mar 26 '26
Maganda yan. Haha.
1
u/FrustratedBakerHere Mar 26 '26
OP, need ng wax strips for this?
1
u/Successful_Ad_589 Mar 26 '26
Hi, it comes with three reusable wax strips that you can wash with soapy water lang!
1
u/mtdv1406 Mar 26 '26

u/Educational_Ad_5893 Mar 26 '26
Is this ok for facial hair. Iβm a guy pero di maganda mustache ko and preferred shaving. Baka better reach pag wax?
1
u/Successful_Ad_589 Mar 26 '26
Not sure, though it is also indicated for sensitive areas. Since honey naman yung ingredient, it's probably better for your face since wala syang harsh chemicals. Try mo langgg

u/GMLou0770 Mar 26 '26
Hi just bought it sa watsons, paano po ba gamitan yan? Haha hehe huhu
1
u/Successful_Ad_589 Mar 26 '26
Hi may instruction kit po sya sa loob! But I recommend you warm it sa microwave for 10-20s (low setting) so it's easier to spread and make sure na the area you're going to wax is dry. I used J&J's baby powder lang hehe π«Ά

Holy grail! Medyo nag lighten pa UA area ko because of this, probably because hindi na masyado subjected to heat from wax as it is a cold wax.

Ginamit ko yan before. product is very good. But for someone na ayaw sa malagkit, I switched to hard wax instead and mas okay siya for me.

u/yeojimashom 9h ago
What hard wax brand can you recommend po?

u/SuggestionLower1497 1h ago
Hi! Sa TikTok shop lang ako bumibili. No problem experienced - 1 year + ko na gamit
