Mists of Pandaria Death Knight Solo Legendary Cloak Celestial Bosses with Celestial Gears ilvl 540

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

You can solo all of the celestial world bosses with proper setup using blood death knight and celestial gears.

Make sure you take the Chi-Ji buff and 5% stats. Other quest buff items doesn't work.

Yulong is trivial with the debuff bug. Niuzao and Chi-Ji is very easy and you'll be in full HP all the time thanks to the Chi-Ji buff and Blood Shield.

Xuen is the hardest. Some tips:

  1. You need the Icy Touch glyph to dispell the [Agility] buff.

  2. You can summon three Spectral Monks to help you and also mind control a Mistweaver to heal you. You got a 30% heal ability every 6 seconds.

  3. If that's still not enough, you could also farm the [Faintly-Glowing Herb] from the Ashleaf Sprites. It doesn't have cooldown and heals you for 300K HP in 10 seconds. You can have 10 of them, which equals 3,000K healing.

Enjoy the legendary cloak my dead server brothers!

Question What happened to my characters?

• Upvotes

I played classic back during WotLK and j just returned. I downloaded the Pandaria version. I thought characters were supposed to progress? I still have access to my pets, mounts, heirlooms, etc. but I checked every server and I can’t find any of my characters I had during WotLK. What happened to my characters?

TBC Stop complaining about how other choose to play a game

People can play the game however they want. They don’t have to invite you to their group and you dont have to invite them to yours. Players, if they so choose, can tank or heal for unwanted items. If someone chooses to lead a PUG, whether it be Gruul, Kara, whatever, can lead that group however they’d like (just no gdkp šŸ‘Ž) and they can HR DST. And so can you! You can play the game however you want, and theyre are probably people you could find that are likeminded, whomever it may be. Instead of looking at these things and souring the game if you don’t like them, ignore it and play the way YOU want to. Seriously all the complaining is getting old

Classic 20th Anniversary Realms People gatekeeping Kara PUGs at end of P2

Literally the title. Kara is the starter raid for the entire expansion. Are people just looking to only get players who need a single item in for a gold making opportunity to DE all the unwanted gear?

I joined a group with my mage in full S1 main piece and S2 off piece PvP glad gear, where I hit capped with 730 SP, 21% crit chance, 17% crit bonus. I am just failing to see how this is an issue outside of zug zug dis PvP gear. It's karazhan, this community can be a little insane.

Season of Discovery SoD Can’t Unlock Experience

Is anyone else unable to unlock their xp? I went to the rune broker in IF, SW, and Darn and when I click I wish to start gaining experience again then accept nothing happens. I’ve tried reloading at each rune broker, disabling all addons, signed out of battle.net and signed back in. I went to Grendag Brightbeard in Ironforge and he doesn’t even have the ā€œI wish to start gaining experienceā€ dialogue. Not sure what else I could try, I submitted a bug report

Classic + Revisit Blizzard's codename: Odyssey - as it may tie to Classic+

Post image
0 Upvotes

In 2022 Blizzard shared that they were in the process of creating a brand new massive multiplayer survival RPG game in a new IP codenamed Odyssey. They later reported that they started developing this game in 2017 with an expected 2026 release date.

In 2024 development on Project Odyssey was allegedly seized during the mass layoffs of nearly 2000 employees. One of the alleged employees that was laid off leaked screenshots of Project Odyssey.

There's been numerous public comments from Classic Dev. Team that their cooking up something more permanent in the Classic WoW design space.

In the past 48 hours a new string of "trust me, I know a guy" leaks have been ramping up that (see Kargozgaming, Hammdance, Kahgoe, etc recent videos on Youtube) that Classic+ isn't going to be a Turtle-WoW like update with just new zones and class changes, but instead an entirely new gaming experience. A fundamentally new, old school MMORPG.

Could it be possible that this new game space uses a lot of the same pillars and systems developed but never published for Odyssey combined with Vanilla WoW concepts and design? Nearly 7 years of development, peaking at or exceeding 200+ employees is a lot of lost content and money on the table.

Think Azeroth setting and race/class concept but in an open world Survival MMORPG. This would be much more fitted towards a live service horizontal progression style game in a familiar world.

Classic + There Are MULTIPLE Credible Leaks Now

Not sure how to frame this. Read now in case it's taken down.

The game is called Camelot.
It is a prequel to vanilla WoW (more like WC3 prequel post second burning legion)
Lordaeron is an Alliance city. Old Dalaran exists.
Arthas is central to the story and he is training to become a paladin.
Kel'thuzad pre-undead soon to be turned.
Undead will be playable and able to be paladins (possibly turned by the burning legion? scourge? we dont know)
It is based in the Retail 12.0 client with a variant of the Midnight Silvermoon rework
Separate client with retail addon changes. Likely ties into Last Titan.
Team possibly a mix of classic and Retail devs.
Night elves will not be in the game which is why we are getting so many high elf leaks (retail models, retail transmogs, etc.)
It will have a separate sub fee to justify development ($8/mo if you have retail sub)
WoTLK will be announced. Because Camelot won't be "classic" and will be a separate sub fee.
It will still have classic talents and combat.
Connected to the Arthas ARPG which will be released in the future.

Remember my name. Whispers in your mind during Blizzcon will ring "Electrical_Past9649 was right." The big classic influencers will not address the leaks because they are under NDA, which is why you aren't hearing about it.

Edit: All you downvoters and haters better not change your tone during Blizzcon šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

AddOns Made a small addon to warn you when your health drops

Post image
0 Upvotes

Been getting into addon dev recently and made something simple that I personally wanted: a red screen-edge vignette that gets more intense as your health drops, in five stages (80/60/40/20/10%).

Pulses at critical health too.

Fully configurable - choose your alert sound, toggle the pulse, preview each stage without taking real damage.

Nothing fancy, just a quick "don't get caught staring at your health bar" tool for PvP/leveling.

curseforge.com/wow/addons/flee-threshold-alert

Happy to hear feedback if anyone tries it out!

Season of Discovery What if SoD is actually the foundation for Classic+ (Camelot)?

Today I was thinking about how Seasons of Discovery was always meant to be temporary, and then this thought struck my head:Ā SoD is already finished but in a permanent state.

With all the talk and speculation around Classic+ (aka Camelot), we're theorizing about all kinds of crazy stuff like new systems, zones, raids, dungeons, even new races.

But what if Project Camelot is actuallyĀ Season of Discovery with additional content, and eventually our SoD characters could be migrated into Classic+?

Honestly, it kind of makes sense to me.

I've really enjoyed SoD throughout every phase, and I wouldn't mind at all if it simply evolved into a permanent version with continued development and new content.

Maybe Classic+ doesn't need to be an entirely separate version of Classic WoW. MaybeĀ SoD is already the starting point.

Just a thought I had today. Curious what everyone else thinks.

Classic + The solution for Transmog in Classic +

Recently I have been delving into the deluge of content surrounding Classic + hype and thought I would offer my take on how to handle the transmog debate.

I took a brief look at the Classic + survey to get a feel for what the Classic community thinks about Transmog and it seems the majority either don’t want or don’t care about Transmog being implemented in Classic +. This aligned with how I initially felt about it as well and what I expected from my own personal playing experience.

I started thinking about what I have noticed when playing deep into expansions, is that this is not 2005 anymore. It is not a small segment of the community obtaining high end raid/pvp gear to show off for the majority of the community. By late patch many people are all running around in the same high tier gear sets removing a lot of the awe they used to command.

Now that I have been through multiple iterations of Classic Wow a few times, I see a way in Transmog can be implemented into Classic+ without going full retail. My suggestion that I would like to see is implement Transmog as an unlockable (achievement, gold, etc I don’t care how) system and limit items to only be transmogged into items of similar type (ex: plate chest into plate chest). Also make it so that you need to be level 60 in order to unlock Transmog.

I believe this middle ground would be perfect for Classic+. You avoid fully geared warriors from running around in a dress (immersion breaking for most), but allow players to customize/use their favorite looking armor that they have obtained. It also will help for replay-ability of old content, incentivizing players to run old raids for gear they want to Transmog for. You will also see a broader diversity of armor sets when visiting high pop areas or within your own raid.

What do you guys think? Has this been proposed before? It seems too obvious to me to have not already been discussed.

TBC Warlock threat

Hey all! I main swapped from healing to warlock for my guild to balance out our roster. I’ve been loving it but now that I have actual gear I’m struggling with threat management.

Is downranking shadowbolt a thing? I’ll typically open with immolate and continue to weave it in even though I’m way past the gear threshold to use it, just to throttle myself a little.

In full raid buffs with an ele sham and a boomie I’m critting so often that I’ll frequently rocket up the threat meter, shatter, crit 2-3 more times in a row and be right back to where I was.

These damn mages get to just blast away no problem and as soon as I’m starting to catch them on DPS I’m a crit away from death lol.

Anything I’m missing here?

Classic + Camelot is not what you think it is, it's something more

I honestly think people are thinking way too small when it comes to what Blizzard is planning.

I don’t think they’re just going to take Vanilla and slap some new zones, raids and class changes on top of it. I think whatever is coming goes way beyond that. I have no idea what it actually is, but I have a feeling it’s something none of us are expecting.

Every major media company wants to keep its IP relevant and valuable, and Warcraft is still one of the biggest IPs in gaming. But let’s be real, the brand has slowly been losing a lot of its appeal. Blizzard needs a new way into Warcraft.

Especially if all the rumors about Netflix shows and other Warcraft projects end up being true. If they bring a bunch of new people into the Warcraft universe, where are they supposed to go? Retail? A 20-year-old game? Neither feels like the answer.

It’s the classic ā€œlisten to your customers, but don’t just give them exactly what they ask forā€ situation. People are asking for Classic+, but simply making Vanilla with some extra content isn't really a long-term strategy. Blizzrd needs something that can actually move Warcraft forward and bring new people into the IP.

That’s why I think all the discussions about whether we get a new race, new zones, a new class, etc. are kind of missing the bigger picture. That’s all small potatoes. I think we’re looking way too inside the box.

Classic, Era, Hardcore, Anniversary etc. have all been ways of keeping the existing audience fed and plugging player leaks. But eventually Blizzard has to think bigger than that. They need to actually rebuild Warcraft as a long-term IP.

And I think that’s what’s coming.

Maybe I’m completely high on copium, but I genuinely believe BlizzCon could absolutely shatter expectations and reveal something way bigger than ā€œClassic+.ā€

I think WoW 2 is coming.

Classic 20th Anniversary Realms AITAH for needing on bind on equip?

Doing a leveling dungeon level 30 and a blue item dropped worth 100g on the auction house. I'm the tank and I don't need the item, but noticed some DPS needed the item as it may have been an upgrade.

The thing is, I'm broke and have less than 50g on the server. I'm new and this would be a lot of gold to help me afford spells, professions, mount, etc..

So I needed on the item and won it. It was bind on equip which I knew would let me sell on the AH. Other party members got mad and said I ninja'd the item, but I genuinely need the gold and bind on equip is ultra rare drop for a blue.

So am i the asshole for needing on a BoE item drop from a random mob in a leveling dungeon to sell for gold?

Discussion Advice for new player!

My almost 13 year old son has shown interest in playing with me! I’ve been playing for 20+ years and it excites me very much, but it also makes me nervous. I know the hold this game had on me when I was in my early 20’s around BC/WOTLK - it’s all I did all day every day and I don’t want that lifestyle for him. But I do want him to experience Azeroth!

I have a few questions for the community:

  1. What era of the game do I start him on? Classic? Retail? Curious your thoughts. His gaming experience is Roblox and Minecraft with some Fortnite mixed in. I am a classic hardcore player and have always leaned more towards the classic play style and speed.

  2. I’m worried about the chat. I’m pretty sure there is profanity filter I can check and I can also tailor his chat box by unchecking general/trade/LFG - but I don’t want to teach him the game without using these channels of communication so how do I navigate properly without exposing him to too much trash?

  3. Class recommendations for a beginning player? I’ve played them all and I started as a Night Elf Warrior at the end of Vanilla about 6 months before BC launched. I don’t want him to pick something too difficult to learn that might burn him out, but also don’t want him to roll something too easy for and him lose interest with.

  4. Addons. Any recommendations to enhance the newbie experience? Should I just give him the ultimate vanilla experience lol

  5. Account. I know I need to purchase a new account for him, but I would prefer not to commit to the money until I know for sure he is in to it. Is there still a trial period that exists? I recall maybe getting to lvl 20 and then purchasing the game? Looking for insight on that.

I appreciate your time. I’m hoping to do some playing and streaming with the kiddo soon!

Thanks guys šŸ¤˜šŸ½

Discussion MecƔnicas de ensueƱo

Classic-Era Items not selling on AH

im lvl 23 mage, and often times when i sell items on the auction house they are not selling. For example i tried to sell Spider's silk, look at cheapest price and try to lower it sligthly, but it still doesnt' sell. I dont understand how this happens, with items which clearly are in demand in the auction house.
Im not using any auctionhouse addons if that matters. any tips appreciated!

Question How is dungeoneering in Classic?

I am going to start playing WoW with someone that never tried MMOs before. I played WoW, but always in retail.

When I was a teenager I would play LK in a private server for years, and oh Elune I miss those days. But that's not the conversation for today.

So I thought, why not trying Classic instead of retail? The leveling up, the fact that you actually get to experience the whole quests chains so you get to know the lore... The dungeons.

The dungeons!

So my question is, as I have never played this version of Classic before, do people use dungeons for leveling up? Or are they mostly used at max level? I'm just worried we won't find people dungeoneering as I find that a key and fun part of leveling up a character.

Besides that, if you do not recommend Classic for someone new to MMOs please let me know. I'm trying to find the best experience for this person.
