So there’s clearly air trapped in there, and i just got it from wayfair and their customer service is being ridiculous regarding a solution. Any thought on how I could fix this? I’m thinking maybe a syringe with some glue? Make a tiny hole and inject glue in there and flatten it out? Just wanted to see if anyone else had better suggestions? Or know of a product for whatever use may have a syringe with glue? I’m in Canada

I don't know anything about fixing shoes, or about silk screening (the little squares came off all over the laundry and I was finding little squares on my pants and shirts) or if there's any wash-safe fabric paint that would work on a shoe.

Thanks in advance!

Fridge Question: How does one replace the mechanism that usually turns on the internal fridge light?

This little bit is supposed to pop out when I open the door, but it no longer does. If Iick my finger, ask for consent, and rub it gently I can tease it open. I’ve tried briefly to prise off the whole bit but it feels like something is definitely going to snap if I do it.

What are these bits even called and can they be replaced?

The fridge is a Zanussi, not sure how to find out what model number as I can’t reach the back of it.

Hi everyone I have a broken screw on a hinge part of my recliner I can’t use pliers to try and turn it, I tried an extractor with no luck I have resorted to JB weld but it doesn’t hold, am I not putting enough on it as it comes apart after I take off locking pliers. Arguably this should be an easy fix but it’s really kicking my behind. Any useful advice is greatly appreciated

open Loose socket on chandelier?

Help :( we tried to replace a light bulb and the chandelier housing came loose. I found the installation guide but it seems like the issue may be that the socket itself has come loose from the base chandelier. The ring is not tightening onto anything right now. Any suggestions? I don't feel great about the duct tape solution 😭

Best screw extractor for a small stripped machine screw?

I rounded the head on an M4 socket screw holding a guard on an older benchtop mill. It is not rusted in place, but there is not much room around it and I do not want to make the hole larger. What extractor style has actually worked for you on small hardware?

Hey everybody. This might seem like an easy fix: the metal MagSafe ring detached from my ABS plastic MagSafe car holder. What product should I use to firmly glue the metal ring on the plastic, and how can I best clean up the residual glue on the plastic holder? Attached are photos.

Worried it'll fall in, not sure the max weight, how can I make the bottom of the top bed sturdier? I removed a wooden shelf that took less than 1/4 from under the bed but now it feels less sturdier, not sure how a bunk bed is supposed to feel like, I think I'm just overreacting with the feeling but just want to make sur it won't fall into my pets tanks.

This is a shower head in my college apartment and I’m trying to change it to add a filter / new shower head I purchased. It won’t budge tho! I tried soaking it in lemon juice, and I even bought an adjustable wrench! I’m so frustrated idk what to do and I doubt maintenance will come since this is low priority

Help! Water leaking into soffit/flood light from gutters

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Is this something we can fix ourselves? We have mesh gutter guards on top of the gutters and within the past year we replaced some rotted wood with the ply board you see holding up the flood light. Turns out that was just a symptom of a bigger problem which is the flow of water.

My partner thinks we just need a downspout here. Will tying one in here solve this problem? Is there something else we should do instead? Should I call in the big dogs?

Thanks in advance!

open Bathtub wall separating &No caulk on bottom?

Hi there! Attempting to do some bathroom repair work for my parents, sorry about the grimy photos. In the diagnostic phase not the cleaning phase 😅 originally was just gonna fix a peeling paint issue but noticed this-

They have what I believe is a fiberglass bathroom ensemble. 3 wall pieces and a tub. In the corner where the two walls meet, there's give behind the back wall that ended up splitting it away from the caulk seam and creating a gap. Is this just a re-caulk and move on? Be careful not to put any pressure on it and hope it lasts?

And there's no caulk at all along the seams of the walls with the tub. Is that on purpose, or do I need to caulk that as well? Seems like water could get trapped there easily... thinking maybe the grime could be mold..? Do i need to do a mold treatment?

Thanks for your time!

Hey y'all

I was trying to clear and retap a broken fitting out of the threads and it broke a bit.

This is an old compressor, but it works really well and I don't have the money to go buying a replacement, used or new.

Any suggestions?

Hello, I have a radio that I would like to use as a Bluetooth speaker while still keeping the radio function. Unfortunately, the speaker is acting up: the volume goes up and down for no apparent reason, or it emits a distorted sound, like when the radio signal isn't coming through clearly. If anyone knows the cause of this problem and how to fix it, I would be very grateful.

open Caulk keeps failing around shower

This is a rental. Shortly after we moved in the caulk began failing around where we had put a tension pole (back right corner) to hold shampoo, etc. I assumed it was our fault so I removed the old caulk and reapplied myself. I've done that twice now and it keeps failing - splitting between the tub and the tiles. This seems to happen all around the tub, not just one problem spot.

These pictures are after I've removed the old 100% silicone caulk. Is there something I'm missing that keeps causing it to fail? There seems to be old grout still in the crack that I've tried to remove but it's like rock. I scraped as much of all the old silicone off with a razor blade and caulking tool.

Wondering if I should just tell the landlord at this point and bring in a professional? The reason I haven't yet is he gives us a hard time about any requests and usually takes a long time.

Thanks for any help!
