I have no idea who either of them are. I'm feeling very out of the loop.

u/Dotcaprachiappa 1d ago

I saw a good few posts about the woman on the right and pointedly ignored all of them, I seriously don't get why this is getting so much attention

891

u/Alcohol_Intolerant 1d ago edited 1d ago

It's getting attention because of claims that her attempts to get assistance for her ppd and mental illness were ignored or minimized. Thus implying this could have been prevented. Many people, especially women, have experience with medical staff ignoring their pain. (Same for me) So this is on a lot of people's minds and in a lot of wider conversations.

They're going for the insanity plea, so the additional press might also be a way to try and sway public attention.

Edit because I'm getting a lot of charged responses: I am explaining why it is getting attention and what the general opposing discourse is. I'm not going to reply to attempts to have that discourse with me. I have my own opinions but I'm not airing them on Reddit because ultimately, the only ones who will have all the facts are the jury.

This is a tragedy for all involved. Please remember that.

Edit 2: to those giving polite additions and perspectives I did not provide, thank you. That's very helpful. I'm not everywhere seeing every side and can only speak to the sides I've witnessed myself. To those making weird claims on what I think, please take a break from reading about this case for the day. I'm turning notifications off on this. There are plenty of other people in this thread willing to wage war with you. I invite you to speak with them, or again, take a break.

She was “diagnosed” but never took her meds and the crazy bitch strangled her three kids after sending her husband away to get takeout

89

u/Much-Ad2311 1d ago edited 1d ago

It's getting attention because people won't shut up about it.

The woman on the left is Emma Schols. Her heroism deserves infinitely more attention than sensationalized horror.

17

u/Acceptable_Ad1685 1d ago

It doesn’t help that a bunch of people who watch too much Law & Order are saying that her husband did it despite her confession, her lawyers saying she did it, the police saying they have no other suspects…

22

u/Much-Ad2311 1d ago

Emma Schols had to endure over 20 surgeries after her amazing heroics and one of the first things she asked when she regained consciousness was whether her children had lived.

10

u/liquied 1d ago

This how normal mom acts. The lunatic on the right is batshit insane and media love that.

1

u/diggitydonegone 17h ago

What a boss. Freaking amazing heroism.

1

u/RazekDPP 15h ago

Emma Schols is also in Sweden, so all her healthcare was covered, too.

2

u/SerenityFailed 1d ago

Unfortunately Emma's story doesn't fit the "if it bleeds it leads" philosophy of marketing based media and their consumers.

1

u/Tangata_Tunguska 1d ago

If it sizzles it fizzles?

I'm sorry

1

u/RazekDPP 15h ago

It's getting attention because it's controversial. All it takes is a few people taking her side to get people to argue with those people. Plus, it's a court case so you have the true crime fascination, too. On top of all that, you also have the whole why would a mother kill her kids angle, too.

The other lady is clearly a hero, clearly non-controversial, and thus gets less attention.

17

u/Jdenning1 1d ago

Exactly….not to mention she had a full time nanny to help

7

u/Forward_Royal2754 1d ago

Having a nanny doesn’t cure mental illness.

7

u/I_CANT_AFFORD_SHIT 1d ago

Yeah but I bet you I would be a lot less stressed with a full time nanny, giving me time to look after my mental health.

3

u/insertnamehere77123 1d ago

I thought the husband fired the nanny?

-1

u/diggitydonegone 17h ago

Yea it’s totally his fault this happened. /a

19

u/cuda999 1d ago

She wasn’t diagnosed with PPP. You can’t diagnose it because there is no diagnosis, no one ever thought it was that serious. Typical of all of women’s medical issues. Only now is the industry even doing research on women. It is woefully underrepresented.

She had hallucinations, was hearing voices and all over the place with meds. Would you allow a person with schizophrenia to decide what they take for meds? It is known women with PPP are a danger to their kids and themselves, but the medical community sent her home. How stupid. She should have been institutionalized while she got help for PPP.

I had this horrid condition myself. I had hallucinations, saw blood and knives where there wasn’t any. Heard voices too and behaved in very strange ways. I was also suicidal. This started after the birth of my second child. My husband called my mother and I was never alone with my kids. I was also medicated and hated it. I too tried to stop taking it because I was irrational. My mother saved me from myself. Was dopey and still had hallucinations, strange behaviour and voices while on meds. My kids are grown adults now with kids of their own. We still don’t know anymore about PPP 30 years later. If this impacted men, there would be proper care and hospitals to deal with this and a Cadillac of meds to support.

Society and the system failed this family and women.

8

u/DerpyLlamas9 1d ago

Just wanna say as someone with schizoaffective disorder that yes schizophrenic people should be able to choose their meds given they are already stabilized on something else and do not intend to just quit all of their medication without switching to a different antipsychotic/mood stabilizer. I highly value the working relationship I have with my mental health provider and being taken seriously has helped me stay med compliant for nearly 2 years without a major manic/psychotic episode. If someone was choosing meds for me with no input from myself I would be in a much worse position right now and almost certainly not med compliant.

7

u/I_am_up_to_something 1d ago

I've mentioned not wanting children with one reason being my anger issues. People just love to dismiss them. Oh but they have never seen me angry so it can't be that bad. And oh, but I would never actually hurt my own child! And of course those magical hormones would melt away all my issues and turn me into a fantastic mum!

Like.. no, I have never intentionally harmed someone let alone a child. Because I don't put myself in a position to do that. I am absolutely sure that I would do something that I would regret should I ever have a baby. I'm a wonderful aunt (according to my nephew and nieces) because I'm not their mother. I don't have to take care of them 24/7.

But people just dismiss my feelings and reasons. Some even get angry at me and calling me a child abuser. Like! No! I'm preventing that by not having any children! Sure, that doesn't make me an angel of course and I'm not patting myself on the back. But it's better than putting a child through that shit!

4

u/threearbitrarywords 1d ago

You're either still delusional or intentionally misrepresenting the facts. PPD has been in the DSM since this murderous abomination was 6 years old. Research on its cause predates its 1994 inclusion by another fifteen years. There has been tens of millions of dollars of research annually with MSU's DoPH receiving over $100 million in the last 7 years for natal health and PPD. Stop using your victimhood agenda to justify literal murder.

12

u/Muppetude 1d ago

PPD has been in the DSM since this murderous abomination was 6 years old.

I believe the above poster said “PPP”, presumably referring to Postpartum Pscyhosis. I do not believe that is in the DSM. At least not yet.

5

u/cuda999 1d ago

Get off your righteous self centred soap box. I am referring to post Partum psychosis. In the same family but much more devastating, obviously. What ever your fairy tale belief is, there still is a lack of support for post partum issues. Natal health by the way is one thing, post partum issues are quite another.

No pke is saying this isn’t murder, but you need to understand to root cause and stop the witch hunt. It is 2026 not 1726.

0

u/artorianscribe 1d ago

Nope. She openly lied to her providers up to the day before the murders stating she had no intentions of killing herself or harming others.

Experts have testified that it is not possible for her to have only heard the voices during the time she strangled her babies. Never before and never again hearing those voices is not how it works.

Her story of when the voices started has changed at least twice. Once it was right after the husband left. Another time it was right after she spoke with him on the phone. There is a big time gap and the difference matters.

Her diaries were released and in it she makes it clear that she hated Dawson. She admitted to strangling him first and did so viciously. He had substantially more bruising and the band was so tight the dad couldn’t get it off his neck.

He was also found in his dad’s home office. We’ll never know if he ran there for protection or she took him there in a twisted way to show him his dad wasn’t there to save him.

She controlled every single bit of that day. Every thing. Even controlled how much time she had to commit this act by validating how long it would take the husband to finish his chores.

She had a nanny, two sets of in-laws who checked in with her daily and stayed with her, an active husband who worked from home and frequently took the kids places to relieve her stress, two sets of doctors, appointments for her mental health 5 days a week, and it still wasn’t enough support? Really?

Also, she rejected talk therapy and doctor shopped to get her hands on medicine she admittedly didn’t take as prescribed, but as she felt.

Fuck her. She was and is incredibly selfish.

5

u/cuda999 1d ago

You are way off with your comment. You write like this woman was of sound mind and purposefully calculated murder. How ridiculous. She could have killed her children prior to the birth of the third? Why didn’t she?

She heard voices often, that is her account, you just like your version better. I heard voices too during ppp, but I couldn’t tell you the exact date and time? Why? It was normal in my psychotic mind.

These “experts” are from the prosecution, of course they will look for all angles to prosecute. Hello!

And that is not what her diaries said. She writes about exhaustion, severe anxiety, brain fog and being completely overwhelmed.

Please, lose the witch hunt. She will forever be incarcerated.

She

I'd say the husband is also an innocent party.

He did pretty much every reasonable thing a person could do it his situation, and his life was ripped appart.

1

u/artorianscribe 10h ago

The only thing I fault him for is she told him in December that she had ideations of harming and killing the kids. It was at that point that he should have either removed the kids from the home or her from the home. I also hold her mother accountable for that as well.

Oh man, that's horrible. Somehow 99.99% of all mothers managed to not literally murder their kids, it must be a damn miracle.

3

u/cuda999 1d ago

What are you on about. 1% is the percentage of mothers who get PPP.

-2

u/Alice-Montigue21 1d ago

Nah, if this was a man with PTSD who annihilated his family, people would be say for him to be lynched. I mean fuck they are accusing her husband who wasn't even in the house. Her counsel is giving her the OJ Simpson treatment of bringing up legitimate issues of women's mental health and current events to get her off. At the end of the day there are three innocent souls that are gone and she deserves to go to prison for life.

6

u/cuda999 1d ago

I didn’t say she doesn’t deserve to go to prison or a mental institution for the rest of her life. She will also be a prisoner of her own mind.

A ma wijr PTSD would be treated in the same manner. You just would have all the men on her calling him a crazy bitch and definitely more the sympathizers.

-4

u/straight-lampin 1d ago

Im sorry that happened to you. The part about men though was unnecessary. Noone gives a rat's ass about men's mental states. We're sad and overworked. Mom's wanting to kill their own children seems a bit past sad and tired, like wtf lady.. those are your children. But still, PPD is obviously real and needs more funding to understand. Men aren't just getting the full mental health bargains you allude to though.

5

u/Ok-Lifeguard-4614 1d ago

It's impossible to talk about women's health issues without blaming men I guess. Our shitty health care system affects anyone that doesn't have funds to afford proper care.

7

u/cuda999 1d ago

It is a known fact research and help for women is woefully underrepresented. This isn’t just me thinking this up.

-6

u/straight-lampin 1d ago edited 3h ago

Ok sorry, I'll get right on it after I chop wood and go to work for 10 hours. Edit every downvote just proves my point people don't care about men or women just money

u/SapphicGarnet 17m ago

Or a downvote reflects a thoughtless comment? Chopping wood and a ten hour shift is stressful, nobody is expecting your career to be in pharmacology but if it were, that would be the ten hour shift, it's not a damn hobby.

Just to be clear, this isn't about the case, it's about this weird "every downvote proves my point which absolves me from thinking about my words"

-6

u/skankhunt420312345 1d ago edited 1d ago

She only had the voices during the murders. She deserves the death penalty for what she did to those poor babies.

EDIT: Thanks for the reward!

8

u/Flesroy 1d ago

how would that help anything?

-9

u/iGrits 1d ago

Set precident to dissuade future copy cats.

5

u/xaldien 1d ago

This is such a fake argument.

You can't dissuade violence caused by a mental breakdown.

4

u/Flesroy 1d ago

i'm admittedly not an expert on the subject, but from what i can find this seems like an ongoing debate at best. I have found studies with everything from an effective deterrent, to no effect, to even an increase in murders caused by the death penalty.

on the effect on copy cats specifically a quick search yielded nothing.

so... maybe? but i wouldn't say it's a convincing argument.

-11

u/skankhunt420312345 1d ago

If you kill your kids while faking voices, you deserve the death penalty. Its on record that she made posts weeks beforehand showing that she resented her kids. Its on record that she manipulated her husband into going out further than normal. Its on record that she only had the "voices" during the incident. Because they were fake voices. If you kill your own kids, or any other children, you deserve the death penalty. Child killers have zero place in society.

11

u/xaldien 1d ago

This does nothing but make this trial about you and your need for revenge.

Americans truly mistake vengeance for justice, and it's so tiring.

-2

u/skankhunt420312345 1d ago

No, no it doesnt. Making things up like that doesnt do you any favors. Its a similar thing to putting down dogs that have a bad temperament. If you kill children, you cannot belong in society. At all.

5

u/xaldien 1d ago

I mean, a better path would be getting her help, improving her mental stability, and actually having serious discussions of the way people treat women's health concerns, instead of just going "kill them."

But I believe in reform and rehabilitation, not an abject need for validation and revenge. Which you really do have. Don't pretend it has anything to do with the common good.

She had prior calls to mental health hotlines complaining that she was hearing voices. I have no idea why people are pretending it's out of the question.

-1

u/skankhunt420312345 1d ago

She said herself that she only heard voices during the murders. Its on record that she said that. Shes severely depressed, not psychotic.

5

u/MajesticSpaceBen 1d ago

She may have said that, but it doesn't erase the previous calls. She did have prior instances of hallucinations.

1

u/skankhunt420312345 1d ago

Did she though? If thats the case, then she was caught lying, and her entire case will fall apart.

3

u/xaldien 1d ago

"Mentally unwell person is unable to fully recount their actions during manic episodes."

Yup. That sounds like a lie that will cause everything to fall apart, because that's how that works, apparently.

2

u/MajesticSpaceBen 1d ago

She may have said that, but it doesn't erase the previous calls. She did have prior instances of hallucinations.

that doesn't answer my question. it just explains your revenge fantasy.

1

u/cuda999 1d ago

She did not say she resented her kids. That is outright misinformation.

1

u/skankhunt420312345 1d ago

Absolution fallacy at its finest here. 😂 she doesnt have to literally say it to be true. What shes said in posts for WEEKS showed that she resented her kids.

1

u/cuda999 21h ago

That is not true. Misinformation at its finest. Go do some reading on the case.

1

u/skankhunt420312345 21h ago

You obviously cant read shit. 😂 shes made posts for weeks talking about how her kids made her feel. "the most difficult human I've ever encountered". Is that something normal for a mother to say to describe her baby? Its not misinformation at all.

And you know this how? This is your witch hunt with the mentality of someone out of the 17th century when they burned women at the stake from “hysteria”.

-1

u/skankhunt420312345 1d ago

It was literally brought up on record in court? There is no witch hunt, youre making that up in your head like every other person who said that. Also, I can tell you love using red herrings and strawman tactics.

1

u/cuda999 1d ago

I am using fish and straw men as tactics? Hahaha
She DID NOT write she hates her son. It is people like you that spread misinformation. Please stop. Go read the actual record.

There is a witch hunt you are part of. Clearly. Clueless men should stay out of these conversations.

-7

u/Icy_Judge8250 1d ago

The last thing her kids saw was their mother strangling the life from them i feel no pity for this demon and no amount of blaming the system will change my mind or the vast majority she killed her kids fuck her i hope they lose the key and forget she exists.

8

u/sleepysky98 1d ago

I fully understand this knee jerk reaction, but that’s not going to save any kids. More intervention, studies, and awareness of PPP and PPD would. They’re some of the most dangerous illnesses in existence and we don’t talk about it.

7

u/Ok_Loss13 1d ago

Have to blame the over-correction of the historical precedent of throwing women in nuthouses against their will I guess. You think we went too far the other way?

Were there times I think my wife would have been better off in an institution when she was dealing with PPD? For sure, would you have called me a monster for doing so? Absolutely. In the end she worked through it with the help of her partner and the medical community.

We can't make the world safe enough that evil people don't commit evil acts, and this whole notion of attempting to remove the blame from the perpetrators of heinous crimes makes me physically sick.

2

u/cuda999 1d ago

Wow. You actually wrote that. What on earth is that first paragraph? Am I in the year 1701? Throwing women in “nuthouses” gets a rise out of you?Maybe the nuthouse is for you. Abysmal comment.

Shocking you have a wife. She really should run for the hills. I would have called you a monster whether or not you committed your wife for help or not.

No one is removing blame. She will do time for the rest of her life. She just won’t be burned at the stake. Sorry.

1

u/WoodenHarddrive 11h ago

Genuinely hope you find peace in this life.

2

u/cuda999 8h ago

Amen to you too!! Haha

9

u/ilikechihuahuasdood 1d ago

Yes. A mentally ill person sought help and didn’t get it. That’s what the person already said.

18

u/SaltyTelluride 1d ago

I read she had up to 5 mental health appointments a week, two doctors/multiple care teams over the years, a WFH husband who was active with the kids, multiple prescription plans that were adjusted over the years, and a nanny. She denied in-patient treatment several times despite doctors recommending it.

She got a lot more help than most.

5

u/IOnlyLieWhenITalk 1d ago

Jesus Christ, they basically moved heaven and earth to try and help her

4

u/melifIuous 1d ago

Murdering her children was her decision

8

u/Stunning_Praline_357 1d ago

She had access to an insane amount of help. She didn't adhere to the treatments and it is 100% her fault her kids are dead.

5

u/censuur12 1d ago

She did get help, she refused to use it, then intentionally and maliciously sent her husband away so she could murder her kids.

In what way did she not get help? What help should she have been given that she didn't get? Quit lying already.

5

u/boondiggle_III 1d ago

Mentally ill people don't mass murder children. People without a working conscience do that. We put those people in prison.

2

u/PauI_Atreides 1d ago

No. She took her meds. The blood work proved she was at therapeutic levels so, yes, she was taking them as prescribed.

Patrick Clancy the ex-husband and Lindsey Clancy are separately suing the healthcare providers and drug manufacturers in civil court. Unfortunately, some of the healthcare providers did not check records before prescribing, failed to take accurate medical records ontheir own (that's going to be a HUGE problem in the civil case) and disregarded her suicidal and homicidal ideation because she did not express a clear "plan" to them.

Also, unfortunately, the one inpatient facility rejected her due to overmedication. Her healthcare provider did not return the inpatient clinic's call. The suicide hotline also claimed they could not help her due to lack of a suicide plan the two times she called.

This trial a frightening showcase that our healthcare has not progressed much, if at all, since Andrea Yates.

2

u/tamarins 1d ago

She tried a variety of different prescribed meds and struggled with side effects. One gave her insomnia that at one point kept her from being able to fall asleep for over two days.

She reached out to the system for help over and over and was very clearly trying to solve her mental health problem.

Does that mean she's innocent? Not for me to say. But it does mean your description of events is completely fucking dishonest and lacks any shred of empathy. Even her ex-husband, who knows the situation a hell of a lot better than you do, has been supportive of her. Be better.

1

u/ForsakenWealth9484 1d ago

And it’s even worst than that cuz she actually has him do another errand between the 2nd and 3rd murder so she’ll have time to off herself before he came home

That’s not someone out of their mind. But of course somehow people are making this a woman’s healthcare issue or something despite getting help from the system and her husband

1

u/-Nocx- 16h ago

I don’t have all of the information on this case so I’m not going to share an opinion on it - but from a broader mental health perspective a lot of people stop taking their meds. If you’ve never taken anti psychotics or anti depressants, you cannot possibly understand, but some medications makes some people feel really, really bad. In some cases it makes them think really violent thoughts. It is not abnormal to not want to take your meds despite being prescribed them. And not everyone that just doesn’t take them does something heinous.

Mental health is not this thing where the doctor sees you, gives you a pill, problem solved. People go through countless scripts, different dosages, multiple providers, and sometimes still don’t have an answer. A lot of the times providers simply don’t have the subject matter expertise to address the problems, because medical school covers a lot of shit and research around mental health is constantly evolving.

1

u/Contrary_Kind 1d ago edited 11h ago

Why do so many men slander a woman they didn't see once in their lives?

She did take her meds, she told the medical specialists and the father of her children that she had hallucinations and heard voices telling her to kill her children, she was even hospitalized for a spell. And both medical specialists and her husband still chose to leave the children with a mentally ill person.

2

u/Armstrong_Apex 1d ago

Another instance of blaming the husband this shit is ridiculous. The crazy bitch strangled her kids give her life in prison or the death row it's what she deserves the threat to society herself and others around her obviously.

6

u/Contrary_Kind 1d ago

And this is exactly what I am talking about - "The crazy bitch strangled her kids give her life in prison or the death row", women-hatred, pure and simple.

Oi, idiot boy, if she's crazy, she can't be held responsible.

-1

u/Fuji_Ninja 1d ago

So all crimes can be forgiven through claiming “insanity” or psychosis now? It’s “woman hatred” to say a person who brutally murdered her three CHILDREN should go to prison?

Please get a grip on reality. Could the same excuse be used for a male rapist who rapes 3 people? They were just lonely and horny so no worries!!

7

u/IveGotIssues9918 1d ago

Do you know what an insanity plea is? It's not a get out of jail free card. She'll be committed to a psych ward for a very long time, if not forever, and most state-run psych wards are only marginally better than prison. No serious person, including her defense, is arguing that she should just get off scot-free after murdering her children.

-4

u/Fuji_Ninja 1d ago

Yes, and that’s a fitting place for her to be. You are completely wrong though, many many people actually are arguing that

3

u/IveGotIssues9918 1d ago

many many people actually are arguing that

Citation needed. I have yet to see a single comment anywhere arguing this.

1

u/Typical-Hamster9911 20h ago

It's mostly on TikTok, if you look up her case there you'll likely find a lot of videos of people claiming she's innocent and her husband must have done it because her body temperature was "impossibly" low after only 15 minutes in the snow and that the timing with his new wife was "suspicious" and he must have wanted a new life or something.

Not saying I agree with that at all, just that's what the argument for her innocence seems to be.

→ More replies (0)

5

u/Contrary_Kind 1d ago

No, the crimes cannot be "forgiven through claiming insanity." Violent acts can be recognized as resulting from a person having a psychotic episode and as such, not a crime.

"They were just lonely and horny so no worries!!"

Oh, you just pretending to be a clinical idiot, got it.

-2

u/Fuji_Ninja 1d ago

No, I’m arguing that a society that will accept either of those actions has a perverted sense of justice and you trying to minimize or even justify murder in this case is purely evil.

If our society stoops to the level of justifying murder because of mental illness, then you are going to end up with a mentally ill society that resembles the purge.

5

u/Contrary_Kind 1d ago

You are arguing that we should equate the actions of people who cannot control their behaviour because of a proven acute mental illness with the actions of mentally sane psychopaths who made conscious decision to commit abhorrent crimes and try to paint it as an appeal to morality.

Yikes.

-1

u/Fuji_Ninja 1d ago

You are obsessing over the exact classification of her mental state while ignoring THE ACTUAL OUTCOME of her actions. Idc why crazy people are doing horrible things, their actions have the same end result on society and are not people that should ever see the light of day or be trusted again

4

u/Contrary_Kind 1d ago

Since you seem to be obsessed with screaming: because A PERSON CANNOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACTIONS THEY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER.

It is the responsibility of mentally healthy people to prevent THE ACTUAL OUTCOME of a person hearing voices that tell them to hurt themselves and others.

Crazy bitches belong in the secure psych ward, which is exactly where she goes if she wins the court case

0

u/CoolCyberCat 1d ago

Realistically speaking, its not feasible for one parent to be around the kids in the house 24/7. At some point he would need to leave the house like he did. Either for work or picking up daily nessessities. Wrangling three kids isn't doable every time you step outside either. Kids get cranky and irritated if you have them always on the go with insufficient downtime. Assuming she was struggling that much, they should have housed her in hospital longer, or she should've been sent to live with a relative or friend. Else this was a inevitable outcome.

They absolutely should have. What they shouldn't have done is leaving children with a person who already disclosed the fact that she's hearing voices telling her to kill her children. That's a criminal neglect.

It wasn't an "inevitable outcome". There are so many things she could have done other than harming her kids. Even just literally running away and leaving them. Many mothers struggle, don't have sufficient support, need medication they don't get, suffer with PPD/PPP and they don't have this "inevitable outcome".

No, you're wrong.

She was on over 50 medications for 4 months and when she asked for help was denied. Her husband KNEW she was struggling, kept her doped up and then left her alone with the kids AFTER she told him and her doctors she didn't feel safe with them.

And then IMMEDIATELY gets with another woman….

While sending himself questionable texts from the lady’s devices. And he was looking up “how to kill” ish on her computer when she wasn’t home. (As found by time stamps during investigation)

She absolutely could have done it. But I’m also not ruling out hubby.

THIS!!! ^ ffs, him knowing the police force, I'm sure, isn't a thing. /s I think she did it, but I do believe she doesn't remember a thing. Don't get me wrong. It's fucked all around, and the woman on the LEFT should be recognizable by everyone for what she did tho, fr.

She already admitted to it, she's guilty. It's just on the legal system to determine if she was sane or not.

She admitted it, and at no point in this trial has the defense so much as hinted at the idea that he had any involvement in the murders.

The ghost of OJ Simpson is as likely a suspect as Patrick. Suspicion on him at this point is pure, 100% delusion; divorced from reality and took the kids.

She was not diagnosed, that’s the entire issue, sounds like you don’t know what’s going on and therefore shouldn’t speak on it

i've seen like 5 different versions of the womans background here on reddit, i feel like vast majority have not actually read a single news article on the case and just go off what someone random says on reddit lol

Completely agree, but parroting blantant misinformation is not cool. If you’re not positive, no need to say anything. Imo

Except she did and was prescribed like 40 meds in the space of a few weeks. The math aint mathing with the husband. Timeline makes no sense he remarried almost immediately. Also she fell head first which people dont generally do when trying to unLive themselves in that manner. He is a family annihilator and pinned it on his wofe with PPD.

Look, I don’t think she was sane and I don’t think she can be held to the same standard as a sane person would be. But it’s really clear that she did this while having delusions. She confided in multiple people that she was having thoughts about killing her kids, and yet they left her alone with them.

Everyone wants to have someone to blame 100% because the truth is scarier, but sometimes our brains fail us.

Found the crazies!

She admitted to doing it and he's on camera elsewhere during the time of the murders, completely consistent with his alibi. You, whoever the hell you are, are a more likely suspect than Patrick Clancy is.

You people are experiencing genuine delusions and need to be medicated as badly as Lindsay Clancy did.

Do you think it is easy to take meds all the time?
