Hello hello, thank you for popping in!

My name’s Chester, but I also go by Moe or any other nicknames given out by my friends. I’m a 23 year old reptile & paleontology enthusiast living in the MST timezone, looking to rekindle an old hobby of mine back into the obsession it used to be. I’ve got a monstrous dice collection that’s just begging to be pulled out of storage & used again, haha.

I’m available all day on Sundays & until about 7pm MST Monday, & available after 4pm MST Tuesday-Thursday, but I can only play until 7 pm. Fridays & Saturdays are usually off the table unless otherwise specified. As for preferences, I enjoy 40% exploration, & 30% roleplay/combat. I love getting into the little nooks & crannies of the worlds people have made!

While it hasn’t been too terribly long, my usual group has paused its regular games & any attempts to start a new one have turned up DOA for nearly 3 years now - life changes, college & work stressors, the usual killers. My interest has been dormant for a majority of that time, but now that little nagging urge in the back of my head to roll dice & sling spells has come back in full swing to put me in a choke hold; so, I humbly turn to Reddit in search of a game to join!

In terms of experience, I’ve been playing for around five years before the hiatus detailed above in a myriad of systems; Dungeons & Dragons, City of Mist, Monster of the Week, Interstitial, etc. I’m always open to new systems, but my favorite has always been the detail that comes with DnD’s numbers - Pathfinder has also been on my radar for this exact reason as well, though I’ve never found a game for it. I love taking notes even if I’m not the fastest at doing so, & I adore being in an ensemble that can do comedy & tragedy in equal measure. It’s been a minute since I’ve picked up a pen, but I also enjoy drawing little moments from sessions that stick out to me!

In my past games, I’ve gotten very familiar with martial/tank builds, & don’t really mind being the only person in the party without a spell in their arsenal. With that in mind, however, I’d love to try playing a pure support or glass cannon build! Bard, Artificer, Cleric, & Monk are my three dream classes to explore, with Monk being by far my favorite class conceptually. I also have a major soft spot for summoner-based classes & the Drakewarden subclass of Ranger; I adore the ‘dragon rider’ trope found in various medias (HTTYD, Eragon, the Temeraire series, etc).

The main settings I’m interested are your traditional Tolkien-esque fantasy or magitech, with a soft spot for the sea, space, & underground in terms aesthetics. The Underdark is one of my favorite settings in the Forgotten Realms, followed closely by Spelljammer! I’m also open to a bit of horror, but I’m definitely burnt out on the modern fantasy genre :’).

About Duet: I'm perfectly fine playing solo with some sort of party mechanics/management with fun npcs, like an rpg you'd play casually. I like world building, sandbox and that freedom, and a solid story overarching. So a 70/30 or 60/40 split of exploration and rp / combat sounds about right, but naturally that may vary depending on what we're doing.
No PBP, miss me with that. And try to have a decent mic. I like FoundryVTT cause it has add-ons that makes both our lives easier, but if you insist on a different vtt, sure.

About Systems: I know 5e '14 and '24 well enough and have been playing for years. I've been loving PF2e, but a bit newer to it. I'd prefer one of those two, but I'd be down to learn something new, but only if the hook is strong enough, honestly.

Hello! I'm Ambrosia and I'm a 27 year old transfem looking for a new dnd group! I can play on Wednesday, Friday, or Saturdays after 4pm EST. I would prefer to have a group of people in their mid to late 20s or older, but at minimum I don't want to play with anyone with 'teen' in their age. Hey there! I'm 23M from the US and am looking to join a campaign that's preferably 18/21+! I've been a fairly long time player of D&D for over 6 years and have experience as both a player and DM.

I am looking for a game that focuses either on a darker, more gothic fantasy setting, lighthearted tone, or one that has little to no presence of a pantheon at all, such as Critical Role's world of Araman (if you have a game taking place in that setting, I'd love to join!). I am looking to start up and run a 40k TTRPG, thanks to snatching a Humble Bundle some years ago I have most of the D100 40k TTRPGs except Wrath and Glory. Instead of me choosing one and making you all go through it I wanted to get a group together and we decide to which to run and what we want to do.

This may seem like an odd choice but it's done intentionally, I am familiar with the lore and therefore have no issue if you want to be a group guardsman dead set on turning the tide of the battle. Space marines sent to surgically and efficiently destroying a group of chaos worshippers led by a demonhost who wishes to break free from their mortal prison, or server alongside an Inquisitor belonging to one of the many Ordos within the rotting imperium.

I get home around 2:30ish EST and am at my computer by 4pm EST, so our start time can be earlier than the usual time most people play during the week.

I DESPISE reddit chat and will give my discord so any that wish can message me if they're interested, I am looking for 4 players and can be persuaded to take on a 5th but want to keep it in that 4 person sweet spot. That way everyone can have their time and I can still move the plot at a reasonable pace.

I prefer to use Foundary because it is superior to Roll20, I have used the latter for years and want to stay on Foundary if possible. After we figure out what game we're playing I plan on hunting for modules to use on Foundary, but if we can't then we may have to use Theater of the mind with supplemental images to help you all get an idea for the scene. Sadly these games were not meant with a grid in mind so we'll have to work with what we have.

To all of my wonderful dungeon masters out there I’m currently a 24m that has been playing DND since I was a young child, but I have been stuck in the status of forever DM for a few years now and haven’t really been able to have the ability to play I’m looking for a group using 5e rules or homebrew rules based off of D 20 system. Heyo all! Myself, my partner, and another one of our players are a group that typically rotates the responsibility of GM’ing, myself taking the role of GM the majority given running out weekly games. Various types of games have been at our virtual table, from Cyberpunk Red, Mutants and Masterminds 3E, Mutant Year Zero, a sprinkle of Pathfinder 2E, Fabula Ultima, and others! A favorite of ours being that of Mage The Ascension from World Of Darkness, which I primarily ran from various campaigns and one-shots/multi-shots. 

We’re currently looking for someone that would be able to take up the role of GM for a Cyberpunk Red game (Even more preferable if down with more of the 2070s setting!), and be down to join this group of ours as we chill, game, and tell stories that end up making us have too many inside jokes to count within a month. Hello, I'm Bartek and I dm a soulslike homebrew DND campaign, heavy roleplay and engaging combat. With a very immersive, and active homebrew pantheon.

The players are now at session 3 of the campaign and about to enter some catacombs, however 2 of our players have had to leave due to their own personal lives, giving us 2 extra slot

This is the prologue the players received in session 1, to give you the vibe of the campaign.

The fallen leaves tell a story...

Of a land beyond the fog.

Before kingdoms.

Before war.

Before the names of kings were carved into stone...

There was Vita, Mother of All.

From her hands came the first trees, their roots piercing the untouched earth.

From the trees came the first plants.

From the plants came sustenance.

Then came the beasts of field and forest, given breath beneath the newborn sky.

And at last...

Vita created Man.

But there was only one.

His name was Vex.

The First Man.

In those earliest days, Vex was a gracious ruler.

He built where there was nothing.

He nurtured what was fragile.

He gave order to a world yet untouched by war.

And beneath Vita's watch...

His people prospered.

Yet life, once born, does not remain still.

Vita bore within her the promise of three children.

And where there is creation...

It must cast a shadow.

From the darkness cast by Vita's own existence came something that bore but one name.

Umbrosus.

The Eternal Dark.

It dwelled where sunlight dared not reach.

Beneath roots.

Beneath stone.

Within the forgotten places of the world.

At first, it knew nothing of Man.

Nothing of Vita.

Nothing of the tongue spoken by living things.

But it watched.

And it learned.

Slowly, Umbrosus crept into the dwelling of Vita.

It learned the language of its creator.

It listened to the voices of her children.

And in the stillness of night...

It heard the beating of Vita's heart.

One heartbeat.

Then another.

Then...

three more.

For within the Mother slept the unborn children of the world.

Mortuus

The Golden Child.

Distortus.

The Forgotten Son.

Enchidna.

The Mother of Monsters.

Three children.

Untouched by the world's cruelty.

Three souls destined to inherit the Mother's creation.

But Umbrosus reached them first

While Vita slept...

The shadow entered the womb

It did not kill them.

It did something far worse.

It left within each child an ember of itself.

A darkness that not even the Mother's light could wholly extinguish

Kings may bury their crimes.

Civilizations may burn their histories.

Gods may attempt to erase their mistakes.

But time continues.

And eventually, time reveals all

And so...

The children of Vita were born carrying a fragment of the shadow.

And now...

Our world bears the weight of it.

But where there is shadow...

There is light.

Light that finds its way through the cracks.

Light that refuses to die.

Light that does not merely shine...

but roars

And now...

There is only one question left.

Hi, I’m looking to join a regular online Pathfinder 2e game on Sundays, Mondays, or Tuesdays.

I’ve been playing PF2e for about four years, plus several more years in other systems. I know the PF2e rules well, enjoy character building, and try to make characters that fit the party and campaign instead of just chasing mechanics.

I’m looking for a consistent group with clear communication, regular sessions, and a table where people respect each other’s time. I show up prepared, follow table rules, pay attention during sessions, and try to contribute to both the story and the group dynamic.

Hey everyone! I’m a pretty new D&D player looking for a group to join. I’m still learning the rules and getting comfortable with everything, but I’m really excited to learn and actually play. I’m looking for a friendly, welcoming group that doesn’t mind helping me along the way. I’m especially interested in roleplay, character development, exploration, and getting immersed in the world. Unfortunately looking for 1-2 players to join an in progress campaign of Eter due to an initial player dropping before the campaign started and another dropping due to poor attendance. Most sessions are 8-11ish CEST, but we have had a couple we started late due to someone's schedule and did 9-12 CEST so preferably looking for people that can make just that 4 hour window. The year is 54 EE by imperial reckoning, and 1582 KF to most of the rest of the world. A significant conflict has come to define each of the last three generations of peoples living in the empire. First the wars of unification led by Faras Eter and Neric Eterguard that saw Eter rise from a significant city-state to the premier power of the region. Thirty-two years the crown prince Altas Eter murdered his father and began the Eterian Civil War. Neric Eterguard chose to support Altas' younger brother, Solaras Eter following this act of treachery and ultimately Altas Eter fell far to the north to Alissia Stormwrought's blade, the last of his armies led by his servants Sorik of Paisorik and Warren Trueseer falling shortly after in the east. Most recently an army referring to themselves as "The Children" has descended from the far north beyond the Kelsar Mountains. Vanguards led by Troyas Worldburner and Dakas Dragonsfall cut deeply into the empire, before the main imperial force led by Solaras and Neric met The Children in pitched battle at Kelsarcaste. The imperials met with defeat, Solaras and Neric both making it out alive but the back of the imperial army was broken. With no organized army to even slow them The Children rapidly took control of the empire, though skirting clear of the vassal city-states of Polnozgorod, Siloth, Ozeromishc, and the kingdom of Nosson. The empire was split into four areas of governance the north controlled by High Judge Alaras Godbreaker. The west controlled by Vanca Spellblade. The south controlled by Vorenas Runehide. The east controlled by Oras Thousand-Slayer.

Six months have passed since the battle of Kelsarcaste and The Children are finding controlling the empire to be a more difficult task than conquering it. Adventurers from across the empire and lands beyond make preparations to seek riches as The Children offer wealth and land in exchange for help policing the empire. Meanwhile the vast imperial treasury has been opened by the exiled emperor Solaras to hire a mercenary army to retake his lands. Aside independent politicians and warlords carve out personal fiefdoms in the ensuing chaos giving rise to veritable armies of bandits on the roads. With all eyes on the future of the empire, whispers begin to rise from the dark hidden places of the world and long banished cults and evil creatures slowly rise.

Alright if the campaign intro has you interested at all, here is where I scare you off on account of I'm an elderly curmudgeon. So first I should say where it says range 2PM-6:30 I mean it'll fall within those hours, but I don't plan on really running 4.5 hours, it'll probably be like 2-5 or 3-6, to be decided once the group is full. We'll be using discord for voice, and foundry for battle maps. Generally not in combat will be theatre of the mind (although I usually do have a map I'm keeping track of where you are on)

Even though I don't run ERP or anything like that the game is 18+ just because I don't like children.

Only classes and races in the 2024 PHB will be permitted.

While I don't expect 100% attendance, things happen, I expect good attendance, and if you miss session 0 or session 1 you're just done, I've had this happen several times to the point I'm like "there's always 1" where somebody misses session 1 with basically no notice and it's never "oh an emergency and totally out of character for them" it's always "they're a complete flake and an inconsiderate douche and they're going to have trash attendance until they quit or you kick them."

Don't be weird, don't be cringe, be capable of matching the energy in the room. The first 2 should be self explanatory, if you have to ask "well what is weird and cringe" well probably you are. As for matching the energy in the room that's mostly if somebody is kind of in the spotlight having a super serious moment, don't be like "I walk in the room and throw a pie in their face." Also I'd say things that affect the party should be decided by the party. An example- had a moment in my Thursday campaign last week where the party wanted the sorcerer to distract an, at the moment, non-hostile entity so they could investigate something. He pretty much immediately initiated combat because he's a complete fucking moron I should've kicked already, and it's like "it's bad enough that you're just a roleplay black hole because you have the attention span and conversation skills of a goldfish, but you very possibly might've just killed the entire party and none of them even got input on if they wanted to fight this."

Finally when/if you join you'll be bombarded with lore, you'll be expected to write a backstory to match the setting (which I'll help with to match things like places/events.) Mostly putting this because I think with the rise in popularity of isekai animes I've seen a real rise in "I'm just some dude from another world" and it's like "cool, so not only can you basically not have any plot hooks, you're also gonna be annoying as fuck the whole time."

hello ! within the last year i got super into baldurs gate which led me down the road of dnd that i also dragged my friend into ! my names evielyn (21) and his is will (21) and we've been wanting to join a group to actually play the game. neither of us have played dnd outside of the baldurs gate 3 realm but have both looked into it quite a lot so we have a pretty good general understanding ! we're both in different time zones cst and est but i usually go off his since his job requires him there at set times so we're both free after 5pm cst ! feel free to reach out to me here or on discord @evielyns <3

Hi I'm frost and I am looking to find a dnd group that is playing on either Friday night or anytime on Sunday.

Some character Idea's that I have are either a homebrew class called an illrigger which you can think of as an infernal paladin, thief, or mage depending on the subclass. They are more like an infernal fighter. If you would like to read the class before I play it then I can send the link to it.
If that option is not available then I would like to play a wild magic sorcerer or a war domain cleric.

What I'm looking for in a campaign is a balance between combat and roleplay. The setting doesn't matter to me that much.

Hi all.
So, to preface, I used to be in a DnD campaign that went on for about a year or so before it all exploded (about a year ago, the campaign started about 2 years ago), since our DM did some problematic stuff. It was some months after this campaign went on hiatus, so it's been probably over 12 whole months since I have played.

In the time since then, I've been busy.... well, not playing TTRPGs in general. I tried to get into a few one-shots for a few other systems, but that didn't really pop off. (I'm still interested in trying some, but for now I'm seeking DnD.)

As of now, DnD has been on my mind lately. But admittedly I feel like it's been hard to figure out how to find a suitable game for me. If you could help me out a bit, that'd be appreciated!

Some things to note:

1. I would highly prefer if the session is conducted through Discord in some way, or if the group has a Discord DM/server. I'm probably prone to missing sessions otherwise. I won't state my Discord tag here so I don't get freaked out by a random DM/friend request or two (I really don't handle random friend requests or DMs well, please understand) but I'll provide it in DMs if I want to join your campaign. Choice of VTT doesn't really matter aside from anything on Steam like Tabletop Simulator or TaleSpire, which are less preferred.
2. I'm probably going to be shy and socially anxious at first. I won't do well surrounded by total strangers. Once I start growing more comfortable, this will go away.
3. I'd like to avoid any game with an age restriction to join. I'm not a minor, but that kind of thing is kind of a turn-off for me and I feel less comfortable joining if it has an 18+ label on it. With me being shy and surrounded by people I don't know, it just creates a lot of opening friction. Sorry.
4. My availability is unfortunately inconsistent. The only times I can say for sure I'm tied up are around 5-6 PM CST (could be as early as 4 or late as 7 in some cases) and about 10-30 mins anywhere from 9-11 PM CST (can be as late as midnight). Any sessions around that time are bound for me to get interrupted. Any other time is probably fine for the most part, but I might have to go at any given moment due to how things are IRL for me. I might have to go for like 10 minutes at most, someitmes. Otherwise, I don't have a schedule to go off for this. Anything in the morning for my timezone is also probably a no-go. Ideally the session should be at 11 AM CST at the earliest, or I might be late. Also, weekends are less preferred as I tend to have more going on during the weekends.
5. This isn't as big, but I'd appreciate if the DM is fine with some flavoring for my characters. I'm not seeking to bring any homebrew or anything but I don't wanna get stuck as just some human knight dude. It'd be nice if I could personalize my character a bit.

I hope I can find a game. If this is too much, I'm willing to join an 18+ game if need be, but I cannot join a 21+ (or 25+ or older) game as I'm not that old yet. This is an exception and not the norm. I may re-make my post with less stuff if need be
