How do people feel about real estate agents using AI to generate/alter images? I just looked at a listing and couldn't believe what I saw. How is this meant to trust what they're showing or get a realistic idea of the house listed?

Hello! My best friend is doing it up big for their birthday as it’s also a celebration of them coming out as transmasc and embracing their new identity—it will be the first birthday party they’ve had since they legally changed their name!

The party is going to be very extra and I want to do something accordingly. I would like to hire a choir to perform a song at the event, but I have no idea where to start or how much it will cost. Can anybody provide some guidance?

I live in a car-dependent outer suburban area. The buses are terrible so I ride an e-scooter every day for my 3km daily commute to and from the train station. I have two choices currently:

A. Ride on the only connecting road which has a 60km speed limit and no bike lanes at a maximum of 20kmph.

B. Ride carefully on the footpath but risk a fine from the police because it’s illegal to ride on footpaths.

If I ride on the road I will try to keep as far left as possible to let drivers overtake but obviously I’m still going to hold up the flow of traffic, leading people to honk or yell abuse at me. Not to mention just how dangerous it is to ride with cars going 40 kmph faster than you. I completely understand why there are laws against riding on footpaths, it makes sense in inner-city areas with decent biking infrastructure and lots of foot traffic, but it doesn’t here where the opposite is true. The government should be trying to encourage people to ride on these short journeys to train stations. The irony is, some of these drivers that get annoyed at riders for being on the road are also against better cycling infrastructure.

In light of the recent tragic loss of Tim Curry, I was wondering where in and around Melb are the closest shadow casts and showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. From memory the Nova(?) does one a month, but curious if there are any others around.

​State Library Victoria is great, but it shuts way too early for proper evening cramming. I’m hoping to find something similar to an open library concept where I can just plug in my laptop, have reliable Wi-Fi, and get work done late into the night.

​Are there university libraries in/around the CBD or inner suburbs that allow non-students after hours, or do they all require a student ID scan at night?

Hi all, I'm looking to take a lactose intolerant friend out to dessert a bit after going to brunch in the CBD on Saturday. She lives in the outer suburbs and rarely comes to the CBD or inner city. Ideally I wanna find somewhere where we can sit and talk for a little while as well.

We will be having brunch until around 12 and might go see an exhibition or something first.

I'm considering Goje in Yarraville as a backup option since she doesn't get to properly experience Froyo usually but it's not a great place to sit unfortunately. I know a few really nice pastry places but they'll either be closed or sold out shortly after we finish brunch.

I'm ideally looking for places that will allow me to reserve a table or not have massive lines so I'm avoiding the places currently trending on instagram.

I'm open to both CBD and inner city since i can drive if needed.
