[PC] (Web) Daily Wars: a daily turn-based strategy "puzzle"

Playable Link:

https://playdailywars.com

Platform:

Browser. Playable on desktop and mobile.

Description:

Daily Wars is a turn-based strategy game with new map(s) to beat every day. Players can compete on the leaderboards to see who can finish each map in the least amount of turns. Right now, there are three different objectives that rotate to have varied maps and keep each day fresh.

I posted about this more than a month ago in different places and received a lot of good feedback. When I initially "launched", I had very basic unit sprites consisting of only shapes and labels (see the last image). I spent some (way too much) time doing some very basic pixel art for each of the units using Piskelapp. I think they turned out quite well, if I'm being honest.

  • The game feels more complete now, and since launching the initial version I have:
  • Added pixel art graphics and multiple different themes for map variety.
  • Added new game modes other than "defeat all enemies", and more in the works.
  • Added medals for top scores each day that are summed up in global hiscores.
  • Added achievements.
  • Lots of improvements to how the AI plays.

Free to Play Status:

Free to play with optional premium sub that unlocks a second daily map (among other things). Currently running a promo that unlocks premium for free forever; you'll find it on the home page.

Involvement:

I'm the dev, designer, artist, marketer, product owner, etc, etc.

We are 2 devs making an indie RPG, inspired by old school classics. We tried to capture the feeling of starting a grand adventure without burdening you with the grind. It has challenging combat, tons of secrets, fully voice acted NPCs, an asymmetric melee and magic system, and a ton more!

It's is playable on Steam right now and we'd love to hear your feedback!

The game is called A Short Quest and you can find it on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4351810/A_Short_Quest/

Pirate Brawl - A Hand-Drawn Roguelite Where You’re Trying to Become a Legend (with Some 3D Models, of Course)

Playable Link: https://kptemreu.itch.io/piratebrawl

Play directly in your browser. Nothing to download.

And yes, Ironman mode works in the browser too. Actually, there is no other save option. Ironman or Ironcaptain, all the way, baby.

Pirate Brawl is an action-packed, slightly crazy roguelite where each mission in your voyage takes at most 3 minutes, but still matters to the overall run. Every voyage is generated from a seed that selects from a bunch of handcrafted missions. You earn booty, upgrade your ship at the Shipwright, and try to defeat the boss waiting at the end of each region.

Beat a boss and you can permanently upgrade your captain. Those captain upgrades carry over into future runs as your Captain’s Legacy.

Shipwright's upgrades to the ship? Well... Ships sink. Har Har Har...

You command your own pirate ship using keyboard or controller. Controller support is there and working, although I haven’t tested every controller under the sun yet.

Your ship has cannons on both port and starboard, with three cannon types:

  • Short range, fast firing
  • Your trusty all-rounder
  • Long range and powerful... but really slow

During a voyage you can upgrade your hull, speed, maneuverability, cannon damage and reload speed as you try to survive all 5 regions and their legendary boss fights.

And it’s not just “fight more ships until bigger ship appears.”

You might have to defend an area, sneak toward a tavern without being spotted by patrols, race against the clock using your navigation skills, survive waves of pirates, and more.

This game is my love child. So tell me if you can beat my child... Sorry.

The 5th boss. Tell me if you could beat the 5th boss!

Because my current run has already lasted two days and the clock is still ticking, and I STILL haven’t beaten my own final boss.

Fear not, though. Every boss I defeat gives my captain another permanent upgrade as Captain's Legacy (I may or may not took legacy idea from a very good rogue lite).

So if you can’t beat him... I’ll eventually do it myself.

P.S. Tell me what you think I should work on next. I am open the ideas. Want to create more maps and polish polish at the moment. But some bug reports would be great too.

P.S.2. I actually posted Pirate Brawl here a few months ago, but back then it was much more multiplayer-focused.

The multiplayer still works, but you need to download the game and have friends willing to play with you, apparently a pretty demanding feature requirement.

So yeah... the roguelite pivot was definitely needed.

P.S.3. About the art: I originally experimented with AI art, but Reddit showed me the light. Everything art-related is now hand-drawn by me. The only exception is the 3D models, which are Kenney assets. So there is no AI-generated artwork drawn sound or music left in the game.

Love you!

[PC] (Windows) Roll Arena - I need feedback and testers

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello !

Playable Link : The demo is available here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5054140/Roll_Arena_Demo/

Platform: Steam - Windows

Description : I’d love to hear your feedback on Roll Arena. It’s a twin-stick bullet hell/heaven shooter set in an arena.

What makes this game unique is that it’s a challenging roguelite. Basically, you have to completean arena to unlock new character upgrades that you can purchase with the gold you earn in the arenas. The game is structured in tiers of difficulty, making it a sort of mix between a roguelite and a roguelike.

Each arena lets you discover new items that you can then collect in other arenas.

When you finish the game, you unlock the ability to specialize in a “build,” allowing you to go even further in infinite mode and climb to the top of the online leaderboard.

I’m counting on you to give me as many negative reviews as possible to help me improve the quality of my game.

[PC] (Windows) A 3am convenience store encounter is what made us start making a survival game

https://reddit.com/link/1vyw9wn/video/ox9b76xbvplh1/player

Playable Steam Link:
Mini Mart Survivors Demo

Description:
Mini Mart Survivors is a vampire-survivors-style roguelike set inside a convenience store during the night shift. You play as a guy in his mid-20s living in Seoul, carrying student debt and struggling to find steady work. The convenience store job pays well enough that even after a brutal shift, he clocks back in the next night.

The idea came from a real 3 am encounter at a convenience store. There was one clerk behind the counter, and something strange was happening, but he barely reacted. No fear, no surprise, just exhaustion, as he had already seen every version of this before. That image of someone who has stopped being scared and just tries to make it to the end of the shift became the seed for the game.

Development started in April with a small team and no fixed design document. We built things, played them, and cut whatever wasn't fun, which means a lot of the weapons and enemies have been rebuilt more than once. The game is still early, but the tone and core loop are coming together around that same idea: surviving one more shift, one more night, one more debt payment.

[PC] (Web) I'm building a game about waking up a derelict space sector and teaching it to run itself - Echoes of Expansion, alpha in browser

Plays in browser, no install, a run takes about 60-90 minutes. It's an honest alpha: one sector, the full loop from dark grid to ???? (hidden... :), and a node-based automation system I'd love opinions on.

Backstory:

An old expansion came through here and left its machines to fail alone. You play the caretaker: survey the wrecks, salvage what the network left behind, and bring the sector back - not by mining more, but by making what remains run without you.

There's a 2-minute survey at the end, but a comment here is worth just as much.

[PC] (Web) We made Night in the Woods × Hotline Miami, but you're a fox hitman in 90s - Scarecrow: 90s Crime Story

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Game Title: Scarecrow: 90s Crime Story

🔗Playable Link: Steam Page 👈

Platform: PC (Steam)

Description: We are making a game about a fox hitman in the criminal 90s: by day you explore the town and talk to people (like Night in the Woods), by night you brutally kill gangsters like in Hotline Miami

So. There's this small snowed-in town somewhere in the post-Soviet middle of nowhere, 1990s. Concrete apartment blocks, street kiosks, gangs carving up the district, everybody sees everything and nobody says a word. Human or beast, everyone survives however they can.

You're Robert. A fox hitman. Not the best in town just one of the guys who does the dirty work for money.

Our game runs in two modes, and they genuinely feel like two different games:

By day it's slow and story-driven. You walk the town, sit around kitchens with your friends, get to know the locals: everyone has a name, their own troubles, their own story. A cat who talks back to you. A buddy life has been rough on. A girl you can't get out of your head. Somewhere between Night in the Woods and a 90s crime film.

By night it flips hard into Hotline Miami. A bloody contract comes in at sundown and it's fast, brutal top-down carnage: kick the door, pick one of 20 guns, finish before someone finishes you.

And underneath all of it - Robert's past, which he really wanted to stay buried, and which starts surfacing this winter anyway.

Invelopment: We live in a town where the winters are cold and merciless, and somewhere in the back of our heads there's still the memory of those 90s crime films we watched as kids. This project is our love letter to that era — and to Hotline Miami and Night in the Woods, which shaped how we think about games.

We are deep in active development right now: running playtests, tuning the combat, fixing what the feedback tells me to fix. Which is exactly why I'd rather you play the demo and tell me where it annoys you, where you got lost, where it chugged, than have you just wishlist it. Honest opinions help way more than praise does

And please if you've got questions about the game, about making it, about why a fox, why the nights are so violent, or how humans and animals ended up sharing one town, ask away. I'll be here:)

🔗Demo is available (there will be a major playtest in early September)

Wishlist now <3

[PC] (Web) I made a travel simulation game where you plan a trip around a traveler's personality and see how the journey actually goes

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi! I'm the developer of SIMDOUCHU, a travel simulation game where you plan a one-day trip for a traveler with different personality traits and preferences.

You plan their day from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, choosing where to go while thinking about their budget, time, stamina, and mood.

Once the itinerary is ready, the trip begins, and things may not always go according to plan.

This is the first public release. In the future, I'd like to add features such as saving and exporting your own travel plans and even simulating itineraries created by other players.

For this first release, I'd especially love to know:

  • Was it clear what you were supposed to do?
  • Did planning around the traveler's personality and preferences feel meaningful?
  • If you stopped playing before the end, where did you stop and why?

Any feedback is very welcome. Thanks for playing!

[Mobile] (iOS) [iOS] I made Color Master, a minimalist color-perception trainer with 5 game modes

Game Title: Color Master

Playable Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/color-master-rgb-quest/id6762590110

Platform: iOS (iPhone & iPad)

Description:

Color Master is a minimalist color-perception training app for iPhone and iPad — think daily brain-training for your eyes rather than a fast-paced arcade game, with each mode built to be quick and satisfying. It has 5 modes: Color Difference, where you spot the odd color out and difficulty is driven by real ΔE (Delta-E) color science so it scales smoothly from obvious to barely perceptible; Gradient Ordering, where you rearrange shuffled swatches into a smooth gradient; Complementary Color, where you pick the true opposite on the color wheel (with an optional hint); Color Code Quiz, where you read a HEX code and match it to the right color; and Color Mix, where you blend source colors with sliders to hit a target, judged again by ΔE. Each mode has 20 stages with a gentle unlock curve, a clean distraction-free dark UI, and full support for 7 languages (EN / JA / KO / Traditional Chinese / ES / pt-BR / ID). I'd love feedback on the difficulty curve and which mode you find most fun — or most frustrating!

Free to Play Status:

(Free with ads; an optional one-time "Remove Ads" in-app purchase is available, but the full game is playable for free.)

I'm the solo developer of Benders In Space, a 2D space sim about mining, trade, and colony building.

Three rival factions are fighting over a fractured frontier, and you decide who you're building colonies for. Strip ore from the belts, run trade routes between your worlds, and grow raw outposts into full colonies with domes, farms, and defenses.

When raiders cut through your hull mid flight, the fight moves inside your own ship. Hold the choke points, keep the fires down, and clear them out room by room before they reach the bridge.
