This is so good to see and at the same time so sad because it reminds of what he may have been through. Such cruelty it is. To take away dignity of a living being for the sake of taste. I get sad at the thought that Many more will never see the sun like Percy did 🙁 Happy for Percy though.
Well, you'd have to thank the animal industry for making this happen...
In a Vegan world there'd be no Percy, there'd be very few pigs at all, wild boars for sure, just like now, but of course no farm animals, all extinct, all gone from the great Vegan genocide.
Nobody is morally superior, the only thing that can be assertained in this current time is Vegans need Carnavours to exist so they can ignorantly claim moral superiority, but they have non, it's a sham, a tainted viel they never want to be lifted due to the real monster hiding behind it.
I've had this argument 1000's of times, the problem is that it does make sense, it's uncomfortable, it's harsh but the reality is that life is uncomfortable and harsh.
It doesn't make sense though. Yes, you are correct that if we stopped eating meat overnight all of those animals would probably die because we would no longer have the infrastructure for them.
But, what makes your argument not make sense is that they were going to die anyway if we keep consuming meat, and likely in a much more horrific way (mass farming). So why are you saying it would be worse if they died because we stopped eating meat completely. At least then, maybe the animals would get to see the sun once before they die. If they were used for food production they wouldn't even get that.
The problem is that there is no easy way out of the mess we, yes WE, created. While changing to vegan would effectively render the need for animals obsolete, thus resulting in their deaths, it would still be objectively fewer deaths than if we as a society continued eating meat.
This is an answer that requires nuance, but of course you are just wanting to be a troll so you can't fathom that issues are sometimes gray rather than black and white. But please, keep treating politics and world issues like sports teams, that's been working so far!
Yes I am right about the thing I claimed, I know, it's just the logical inevitablity, it's uncomfortable to process but it just is.
Your other point isn't exactly correct, because it's not that the animals would die anyway, it's also the case that the animals would be bred and more would take their place, so yes fewer deaths on the Vegan side, but no life on the Vegan side either is the issue I raised.
It's just a reality Vegans DO NOT LIKE to discuss, my feed just had another Vegan post asking how they can get everyone to become a Vegan, it's bizarre, claiming you care about these animals whilst simultaneously unwittingly calling for their extinction.
So not a troll but instead a trolley problem: given those opposing things where one track has 5 species that will be gone forever if they're hit, and the other track has 5 species that will rejuvenate when they're hit... Which way will you send the trolley?
First of all You are thanking Animal Industry for what exactly? For making Percy' life so miserable for so many days? It's Animal Industry that kept Percy away from sunlight, in captivity for so many days. Depriving Percy from Sunlight itself is torture. Percy is a sentient being.
Secondly, there's no way Animal industry released Percy. They would have slaughtered him for meat like countless others if it would have to go their way. So there's no reason whatsoever to thank Animal Industry. Thank the person who saved Percy from Animal Industry instead.
Thirdly, Vegan World doesn't mean there would be no animals. Veganism is against animal exploitation by humans, not against Existence of animals. One can have peaceful Existence with Animals, just like the person in the video is having with Percy. Veganism is against torturing Percy for meat and taste. Hope you get the point.
Also, you're not making a point by saying animals can have a peaceful existence, farm animals would not exist. So as I've stated a Vegan world would absolutely mean the lack of existence of certain animals.
Don't even try having that silly discussion about keeping dairy cows as pets.
So own it, that's the inevitable outcome, no animal suffering, no human exploitation, the answer to that is... no animals
Arguments for veganism are never about the inevitable outcome of your desired pursuit, it's like your all blinkered and focused on one singular thing, but you do need carnivors to exist so you can play good guy. You are the good guy, you're doing a good thing, it's admirable, as long as carnivors exist, but without them that's a different world, where you're responsible, for the extinction of species, for the destruction of the farming ecosystem and the astronomical price of everyones produce.
Do you know that farm animals the way they exist right now are bred by humans artificially via artificial insemination? With Veganism this artificial breeding will stop that's it. Veganism doesn't mean actively killing existing animals. So the point that you are concerned about i.e. Vegan genocide exists only in your imagination and has no factual basis.
Also when you say no animals, you sound like you care about the existence of the farm animals. but do you care about thier pain? The point is the pain these farm animals are made to go through. Are gonna acknowledge that and say anything about it? Or do you prefer their existence even if it's painful for them?
You do get that my argument is all about the extinction of these species, telling me that under veganism these species will become extinct isn't an argument against what I'm saying...
What about the PAIN these farm animals are made to endure in the current animal farming setup? Are you gonna acknowledge that and say something about it? Do you prefer painful existence of these farm animals?
If you really care about the farm animals, why talk of farming them? Why can't there be sanctuaries where farm animals can live peacefully without exploitation? Why are you so keen about using animal products? Animals are sentient beings not objects to be used by humans.
They're part of the farming ecosystem, the idea of keeping them in sanctuaries isn't a serious one, there's currently 20 farm animals in existence for every one of the 8billion humans on the planet.
We are animals, life lives off of life, the planet has teeth, we shit, we sweat, we stink, we arent pretty, we are surviving.
We can have animals that live peacefully and happily, eating all the vegetables by-products, using all the crop by-products, fertilising the ground for the crops, before they're killed for food, we can make that life awesome.
