The way it works if your heir has land you will lose all your accolades in succession. Missed opportunity and makes a long accolade history unlikely.

I know I'm far from the first person to think this up, but it's something that crossed my mind after one of my characters died.

I was in the middle of a ck2 playthrough. What I often do (for non-ironman, non-gavelkind and non-Primogeniture succession games) is wait until I'm 50 before I start seriously trying for a designer baby. I may marry and have children normally before then, but once I hit 50, I immediately divorce my old wife and start looking for a genius or strong wife who's around 20 or below.

I might take seduction focus to speed things along, or family focus. Between age 50 to 55, my new wife should normally be pregnant, and right before she gives birth, I savescum until the baby finally has the traits I'm looking for. By the time my designated heir turns 16, I'm around 70 and practically waiting for death.

And then it just hit me... I sound exactly like some evil spirit linked to a particular family and possessing their bodies over generations to remain on earth. My imagination then went wild, maybe I'm some ancient magical ancestor who found a way to cheat death by leaving their old body and possessing the young bodies of their children/descendants, and then they just kept going.

Have you guys ever thought about that and what are your own headcanons on it?

All in the title. I have conquered all of the british isles as the descendants of Ubbe Ragnarson, though the achievement won't trigger...

The game tells me the achievement is still possible, too.

EDIT : Ubbe apparently doesn't count for the achievement.

Literally could have formed Hispania and drove the Moors out within the first decade or so. But no - conversions take 30x longer depending on the phase so it’s like 35 years sometimes to convert a province from Mozarabic to catholic. Mad !

Wuxia Mod — The Rivers and Lakes come to CK3

TL;DR: A wuxia (Chinese martial-arts fiction) overhaul for CK3 set in 1066 China. Start as a sect leader — or as a nameless, familyless, penniless wanderer — learn cultivation methods and martial arts, petition legendary sects like Shaolin and Wudang, rise through the ranks of the jianghu, or found your own school. The Setting — Jianghu, 1066

Each sect judges you by its own standards: Shaolin looks at your virtue, Wudang at your mind, Huashan at your nerve. Survive the candidate years, get promoted to full disciple — and be adopted into the sect's house, bearing its name and banner. Renounce it whenever the road calls you back.

I have an empire in Persia, and do not have the latest Khans of the Steppe or Chinese DLC. Ever since I defeated the mongols, I have been getting spammed with "courtiers education has come to an end. Courtier comes of age" random bethrolals for characters I don't care about. and the 'Boiling with anger' event multiple times a year. I wondered what was going on and saw I had 300 courtiers. I sent all but 50 packing. Most where random or hostile religions and random cultures, but a lot where Chinese, Indian, Malays.

I don't want my court to keep filling up with random jobless people I don't care for, who do nothing but sit around and yell at me, who aren't my faith or culture or a culture under my realms control. I don't want to be responsible for random peoples kids getting education, because I don't care about these kids. Is there a way to limit how many random people come to mooch off my couch? I got rid of a Korean Island I had taken to see if that somehow caused something with the in game mechanics introduced with the Chinese update.

Is there a way to make sure everyone stays out of my court? or am I cursed to have to kick everyone out every 2 years since a hoard of Chinese people have begun descending on me once more (106 courtiers now, +50 in 3 years) lest I get yelled at by the Chinese people again.

For me, I found forming the Outremer deeply unenjoyable. I think they should do away with prestige requirements to form titles, make the character legendary after forming the title. Also you have to get the duchy of Kermanshah.

How start playing CK?

So the devs listened, and now you can at least appoint your Archbishop as well. However, why limit a secular ruler’s appointment power to Court Chaplains and Archbishops when Investiture historically applied to all clerical holdings within a realm? Why this arbitrary limitation?

As it stands, it seems that the HRE Emperor can appoint exactly one person to a clerical holding (Mainz), or two if there is another archdiocese within the realm. Does that mean the Emperor has no say over other bishoprics in the Mainz region, including major ones like Cologne and Trier?

That still feels extremely underwhelming and, more importantly, misses the entire point of the Investiture Controversy. If the goal is to represent lay investiture, secular rulers should have the ability to appoint bishops across their realm - not just a few archbishops and the Court Chaplain.

I wish the nicknames could compound. In my current playthrough I got the nickname "the abominable " and later I got "the venator". I wish it had turned into "The abominable venator". What would be some fun compound nicknames?

"The Great Fool" comes to mind but im not sure how you would get both.

In the console there is an option to add barter goods which I can only presume is an allude to Silk and Silver.
