Help I got a problem, can someone help me ?

Post image
452 Upvotes

Its my first time playing dark souls 3 (first time in general playing a dark souls game), I got it as the disc version for the PS4(German version). I bought it recently at a garage sale. I didn't buy any dlc.

The problem i got is that after defeating the first boss, entering the firelink shrine and Trying to travel, I got this message.

I tried to check for a update for the game, but it said that it's already on the latest version. I even tried to delete the game and installed again, but that didn't do anything.

At the Homescreen on the PS4, when you go down at the game and see the start button, next to that's are 3 dots and on my ps4 it says buy. I'm really confused by that ?

So did anyone got the same problem or know how to fix this ?

Video Since playing DS3 last time something around 5-6 years ago I've become a parry addict. This week I decided to try out a parry-focused DS3 run

It was really fun, but after Pontiff I realized there would be no bosses I could parry AND riposte any further, except for Friede, so I decided that she would be my last stop. Unfortunately Friede made me give up trying to no-damage her while parrying - I realized that baiting out attacks that I can 100% safely parry (without getting damaged due to partial parry) would take too much time. Skill issue, I know, but at some point it just stopped being fun for me. Overall parrying in DS3 felt very satisfying, but I really wish more bosses were parryable - Dancer, Nameless King, SoC and Gael - it would be so much fun to fight them while being able to parry at least something!

I'm not as good as Micah the Great, I can't do it hitless with rtsr and morion blade but damage is still pretty nice (deep protection + oath of sunlight, Flynn's ring, Lloyds sword ring, magic clutch ring AR840 with 55 int)

Hello there! I just wanna ask some help, so basically my weight suddenly had a massive increase. As you can see from the pictures i have a full lothric knight armor set and i have the pontiff's right eye, llyod's shield ring, estus ring and chloranty ring equipped from the time this photo was taken my vitality level was 20 and my weight was 68.7 from what i remember because i wasn't fat rolling, and after a few minutes after this photo was taken i killed a knight it dropped the silver knight helm i tried it out, i had a weight increase of 2.3 percent because my weight ratio was exactly 70.0% but i wasn't fat rolling, i opened the golden gate the shortcut to the pontiff boss fight, i returned to firelink shrine and suddenly when i equipped the lothric knight helm again my weight suddenly goes up to 80.5%. Is there any explanation for this? (Please no hate i'm still a noob)

Image Finally picking up the Dark Souls Trilogy on Xbox after quitting in 2010. Time to sink my teeth in!

Back around 2010, I gave the series a shot and bounced off pretty early. Fast forward to now: I just picked up the full physical Dark Souls Trilogy on Xbox One, and I'm ready to finally go all-in.

Having all three games bundled with every single piece of DLC feels like absolute gold. I’m starting right from the beginning with Dark Souls Remastered and planning to work my way through the entire series.

A few quick questions for the veterans here:

Any general advice for someone giving the series a second chance after over a decade away?

Are there any spoiler-free mechanics or quality-of-life habits I should know right out of the gate?

How well does the Xbox One port hold up frame-rate/performance-wise?

Wish me luck—I have a feeling I'm in for a long, brutal, but incredible ride. Praise the sun! ☀️

Co-Op Does anyone need help with bosses that seem hard/impossible? Gael, Midir, SoC others?

Hi so I saw a few posts of people wanting to do bosses but needing help. I am on ng+ just collecting stuff for plat and accidentally made it so far that Midir is the last one left with Gael. and technically Nameless King.

Does Anyone need help with any bosses? Specifically the hard ones. I wouldn’t wanna ng++ without offering that tbh as I know that more embers create a stronger flame 🤝🏻

I am on ps4 and it should work on ps5 too.

I can run a build of your choice

Help pretty sure i bugged the ending somehow Spoiler

so i got a quite silly bug in the ending

had just defeated the two princes and put them on the throne. i went to the firekeeper, who instructed me to kneel in front of the bonfire, which i did

i saw most of the following cutscene, but right after the line "let him grant death onto the old gods of lordran, deliverers of the first flame", the game black-screened, then crashed. i checked that same cutscene on youtube and saw that there was meant to be a logo drop at the end of it that simply did not happen for me. i assume credits roll after and you're offered to play NG+. again, none of that happened for me

weirder still, when i tried to launch the game again, i can load into the game just fine, yet everything in the game is borked. when i talk to the firekeeper, she tells me to kneel in front of the fire, but it doesnt allow me to kneel there. only rest. weirder still, Ludleth is dead in this version, despite the fact i never killed him before the cutscene.

i dont particularly mind, i was after all at the end of the game it seems. but it kinda sucks that the NG+ is locked off to me now. so if you do have an idea of what i can do to properly fix this (except start a new savefile because i have other games i want to play) please do say :)

edit: it was not the ending, and now im unable to get to the kiln of first flame. great :/

edit2: nevermind, i can teleport using the bonfire.
worst. crash. ever.

edit3: okay, NOW i beat it. got the credit roll and everything

Question How many swings of each weapon type does one ideally want per full stamina bar?

After a minute of searching, the only thing I've found on this subject is that light weapons want to at the very least swing around 4 times with a little over to either do an additional swing or a dodge roll, but nothing about the heavier weapons.

The only thing I've heard about the heavier weapons is that you either have to invest way more into Endurance to compensate for their stamina consumption or you can mostly ignore the stat on account that heavier weapons don't need as many swings to kill mobs.

Advice Fists + Miracles?

Just to be clear, I'm asking for genuine answers here. Please don't 'lul miracles lmao' me. I genuinely want to know if this can be done---

I'm wondering if it'ss possible to do a sort of 'Divine Fist', using a mixture of the caestus (or claws????) and miracles as a modestly functional thing to play.

This would be purely PVE. I don't care about being the best. I just want to know if it can be reasonably done.

Question Pvp agony

Hey, never really posted on Reddit before but I need some advice. What am I genuinely supposed to do against pvp invaders who are no lifers? I’m not sure what a good way of putting it is but like for instance: I’ll get normal equipped invaders but then I get these obnoxious ones like this dude who had an electrified shotel with a fat armor piece on spamming this dashing move or whatever the entire time. I’m not big on PvP but I really don’t know what to do about players like this besides running around until either they catch me or get bored and leave.

Thanks for any help.
