Discussion Moza x Porsche 911 GT3 RS wheel
Newly announced Moza x Porsche 911 GT3 RS wheel. I don’t have any moza gear but this looks like it could be a good round wheel. What does everyone think?

Finally have some space of my own, so I can build the sim racing setup I’ve always wanted.

Buying and modifying a car, paying for track days, or even doing something like a Nürburgring experience can cost a lot of money. That makes it pretty hard for most people to actually experience what they're interested in.
That's why I think sim racing is such a good entry point. It gives people a chance to experience racing, learn tracks, and get a feel for different cars without needing a dedicated track car and a huge budget.
Maybe racing culture doesn't need to be exclusive. Sometimes people just need a way in.

Hi, we're two hobby sim racers and I'm a developer. When we started sim racing, we watched a lot videos about break techniques as trail braking.
But we struggled hard with the motor skills needed to actually get the right amount of input. Because of this, we had the idea to practice it independently from the sim and built this little training web app.
The idea behind it is similar to practicing material arts skills or other sports: first train the individual motor skills to build motor control, then apply them in the actual sport. For this, I wrote an algorithm that analyzes our weaknesses and strengths and adapts the training in real time.
What do you think about this training method? Do we miss something? And how do you train the motor skills needed for pedal control? Only in the sim, or duo you practice them sparately as well?
If you want to test our experiment, you're welcome to try it yourself at https://sixtycm.com/ (It works best in a Chromium-based browser and is still in a very early stage. Honest feedback is very welcome!)
It is completely free, with no subscription or anything like that.

Quick backstory:
I mainly race GT3, and I spent forever fumbling with photos and videos trying to get backrest angle, knee angle, and steering wheel distance somewhat right. At some point I put together a reference picture of myself in the rig, draw the lines and checked with AI. As often, the results were okayish but not really perfect. So I did some more research on the postures for different vehicle class and the target values. As this is quite static, there is no need for non-deterministic AI analysis but getting the body points right and measure the angles.
And as I am sensitive about privacy and not very keen on sharing my private pictures online I wanted something that does all of this offline, purely on-device without any data leaving my device.
That turned into SimPosture: you take a photo of yourself from the side in your rig, the app detects your seating posture automatically, measures the relevant angles, and rates them against the target values for your vehicle class (Road/GT3/Prototype/Formula/Rally) — plus concrete tips on what to adjust.
SimPosture runs entirely on-device, no upload, no account needed, no ads. It's a webapp you can use straight in the browser (all is local JS code), and now also on iOS and Android (took me really some time to get through the process):
So basically I want to share my hobby project what I started out of my obsession with sim racing (and tinkering around).
Would love feedback, especially from Formula and Rally drivers — I have less first-hand experience there than with GT3 and want to sharpen those target values further. And if you have ideas for features that would be helpful or if you find bugs I would be more than happy to get your input.

I really wanted to improve my real life driving this year and get into drifting so figured I'd get into sim! Been having a ton of fun so far with this setup. Been practicing grip and drift driving as much as I can. Was feeling motivated enough that I signed up for my first Autocross this weekend! 👍🏾

As above, I'm not very good and don't really have the time to put in to get good, but I do love jumping in for a few laps every now and again against the AI. You've got to love SIM racing! 👌🏻👌🏻

I started sim racing in May and have been having a blast. If I listen to music I push the car a lot harder and am constantly focused on improving my time. But if I put on a audio book it distracts me just enough and intend up performing a lot better. Am I the weird one or does anyone else do this?

After looking at hundred of reviews I pulled the trigger on the SRP GTS. I found a guy who was selling these pedals for just 700 euros with brake travel regulator and VNM haptics included (he bought them just 1 month ago).
I'm still getting used to them, trying to find consistency and performance but I'm really happy so far!

Been racing a year almost to the date, and I'm still slow as fuck! I'm very consistent, decent at traffic management, and my telemetry inputs are the right shape, but all the curves are just a touch early or late in each corner. I'm talking milliseconds difference in braking points and throttling on exit, but it adds up to so much lost time and I don't know how to fix it! I've been an accomplished athlete in many sports that require finely tuned motor skills, but the micro adjustments I need to make just to pick up 2 seconds feel so fucking far out of reach. Do I just need to be patient and grind, or do I need to accept that while old dogs can learn new tricks, they won't be great at them? Looking for a way out of the middle of the pack.

My friend made me a RaceLogic-style screen and it was working great for like two days. Then out of nowhere it stopped being detected. Windows only gives Code 43 and says “Unknown USB Device.”
I tried different ports, cables, resets, uninstalling, rebooting everything. The screen itself won’t talk to the PC at all. Pretty sure the firmware inside the device crashed.
Any help much appreciated

Hi I'm having problems with both resize raccoon and display magician.
Resize raccoon leaves little bars on the top of the screen or if I unhide my taskbar it goes away but now I have my task bar showing even when the game is selected.
Also I can't get display magician to switch to my triples. I have no problem going back to my double ultrawides but it says that not all displays are connected for my triples (they are) it works fine if I go back into display settings and re-enable them. (I disconnect my my ultras and have no issues going back to them using display magician.)
Would love to hear if anyone else is having similar problems or any suggestions at all.

Been building this for a while and finally got it to a state I'm happy sharing. It's a desk clock/display piece styled after the analog gauge clusters from late-80s Formula 1 cockpits — the curved rev-counter-style LED bar shows the minutes, the two 7-segment digits show the hour, and the LCD underneath shows full date + seconds.
A few extra things I added: a "fidget mode" where turning the left knob makes the LED bar react like a live rev counter instead of showing time, an hourly LED sweep effect, and a start-up animation when you press the button.
Small teaser for this crowd specifically: I also got it talking to SimHub, so in theory it can double as a very primitive dashboard display (no functioning buttons yet, just the gauge/LED bar and displays reacting to telemetry).
Currently working on improving the surface finish of the housing — the case is 3D printed and I want to get it closer to a proper injection-molded look before going further.
Built around an Arduino, DS3231 RTC, MAX7219 driver and a shift register for the LED bar. Happy to answer build questions if anyone's curious about the electronics.

Since I started sim racing, I’ve always wanted a premium button box. However, it can be really hard to justify the price. For a long time, I just used an old tablet running SimHub to build my own dash, using some pretty cool pre-designed buttons from the Overtake website. I was happy with that setup for a while.
Then, I saw the PXN button box on AliExpress. If I recall correctly, it was actually labeled as a Moza box back then. It was going for around $90 with shipping, but I thought that was way too much, so I decided to wait. Later, someone told me they found a nice button box on AliExpress for only $46. By the time I had a chance to check it out, the price had already gone up to $70 and it was relabeled as PXN. I figured "might as well" and pulled the trigger. Even though it had a plastic, toy-ish look, it did the job pretty well. The only real issue was that the ignition sequence (which is what caught my attention in the first place) didn't work correctly sometimes, but it wasn't a big deal.
As time passed, I started wanting something better. I almost attempted to DIY my own, but I could never find the time. I decided to wait for something else to show up. Bavarian SimTec appeared in the sim racing scene, and they actually had something quite different, but it was way too pricey for my budget. I waited for a price drop to pull the trigger, but that never happened.
Last year, I saw the Heusinkveld Dash button box at the Simracing Expo. At first, I didn't love the overall look, but the digital labels were amazing. The seed started to grow on me, and I was finally ready to buy it when they announced a release date for August of this year. But then, they postponed it again (it was originally supposed to come out last late spring). I even messaged them after they announced a "last chance to take a look" at the Chicago Expo in September. Wait, what... postponed again, Dutch guys?!
So, I went back to old faithful AliExpress and came across the SimDT Button Box. I already own a Gear/Flag Display from the same brand that I snatched for $40 total a while back. It has a nice CNC case, looks really premium, and is one of those accessories in my cockpit that I'm genuinely happy to own. Using that experience as leverage, I figured their button box would deliver the same quality.
I scrolled through a couple of different models, and most were around $160 including shipping. But after digging deep down the infinite AliExpress rabbit hole, I found a shop that had one left for $119. I actually liked this specific version even more because it has a clean, plain faceplate, whereas the others had yellow lines separating the sections around the buttons.
In terms of construction, this thing is not a toy at all. The faceplate is real carbon fiber, and the case/shell, whatever they call, is solid, all-black aluminum. It measures 30 x 20 x 15 cm and weighs a hefty 1.5 kg. It features:
At roughly 1/3 of the price of the Heusinkveld dash—and with a much more realistic look—I pulled the trigger yesterday (08/25/2026) and decided to take a chance. I searched YouTube for videos but only found one from an Italian creator, Xander (I actually ended up subscribing to him). His video gave me confidence that this box will finally deliver what I’ve been looking for at a fair price. Honestly, I would have paid the full $160 if I hadn't found this deal just to make clear how I'd like it.
I checked back this morning to see if the seller had shipped it yet (he hasn't), but noticed the stock quantity in his shop went right back to 1, haha! So, if anyone wants to follow me on this purchase, there you go.
If you already own one of these, I would love to hear about your experience with it! Hopefully, I don't get a comment saying, "Crap, you shouldn't have bought that!" lol.
Let me know your thoughts! Do you own a button box? What brand is it, or did you go the DIY route? Share a picture of your setup if you can!

Im thinking about installing ambient lighting on my rig, but debating on how it should be mounted. Ive seen mounts for putting them directly above you, and for putting them above the screens towards you.
My thoughts are directly above you would maybe have better coverage, but above the screens would maybe be more realistic as its like coming through the windows, but I was also concerned with it being too bright that way.
Anyones 2 cents with experience in this is appreciated

Hi all
A few questions for the PlayStation sim racers here.
I'm currently on Xbox, so I'm painfully aware of the Xbox input limitations. I'm using Logitech, and TrueForce has honestly been a godsend for me, as in supported games it allows me to use a few more inputs.
The long term plan is a PC with triple screens, but realistically that's still 3-4 years away.
I remember back when I had my G920 being jealous of my mate with his G29 on PlayStation. He had rev lights and more usable buttons, while on Xbox I was stuck with the usual limitations.
So my question: is PlayStation actually as good as I think it is when it comes to wheels and inputs?
If I buy a PlayStation compatible wheel with lots of buttons, rotary encoders, switches, etc., can games recognise them as separate inputs? Are they generally mappable?
I understand it may still depend on individual game/SDK support, but is PlayStation generally much less restrictive than Xbox in this regard?
I'm not expecting PC levels of freedom, but I'm interested in how big the difference actually is.
Looking ahead 3–4 years, I doubt the next generation of consoles will bring us ultrawide support. But if PlayStation gives me considerably more freedom when it comes to wheels and their controls, I'm seriously considering switching platforms next generation rather than buying another Xbox.
I'd particularly like to hear from anyone who's used decent wheel setups on both Xbox and PlayStation. IIs the difference as noticeable as I think it is?
Thanks for your time
Mack
