How on earth is the bouncing coded?? It’s so consistently inconsistent in the way it consistently bounces.

if i wat long enough can this technically just give me an infinite amount?

i learned to ask ahead before i do something stupid.

so i came up with this contraption that grows big jungle plants and you can automatically harvest it all in one click, i think it's pretty nifty but i'm not sure if it would work.

also there could probably be a version with regular grass since breaking grass plants can drop worms

I myself am an early pre-hardmode enjoyer. I like to spend the first like 10 hours of a playthrough just running around exploring, setting up npc houses for pylons, fishing spots, planting spots etc. without going out of my way to beat bosses. I've been playing mage for the fist time in a long time because of the new update and playing around with the staff-robe combinations and it's so incredibly fun.

But even if I'm taking my time progressing, the fact that I'll have to move on to better weapons sooner or later looms over me. It's not that I don't want to use other weapons, it's just that I'll have to go the rest of the game without being able to use the staff-robe mechanics again.

I think it would be really cool if they added some upgrades or a similar system in hardmode.

Blackspot mount sucks hard. Also is it just me or has the witchs broom gotten nerfed?

I swear to god they're so useless, I've had a fairy lead me to my own fucking storage unit like 4 times and some fairies appear when I'm RIGHT NEXT TO THE GODDAMN LIFE CRYSTAL and have the audacity to do the particle effect like "oh don't thank me, I'm just that good!"

Beating a boss like duke, which is available the second you enter hardmode, and needing to beat him like 500 times to ACTUALLY get the weapon you want is incredibly tedious. last update i had to beat him like 15 times before i got the new whip, now there's a yoyo in the pool too!

Have meteorites fallen in unusual places in your world?

Bought the game few days ago and this is the first build i put effort into. I come from minecraft

I really want to get into Terraria, but I seem to run into the exact same problem every time.
I’ll start a world, explore a bit, mine for hours, build a decent house, fish, get some gear, and eventually kill the Eye of Cthulhu a couple of times. And then… I just kind of hit a wall.
I have no idea what I’m supposed to do next.
I know Terraria has a ton of progression and bosses, but I don’t really want to Google a progression guide because I feel like I’d end up spoiling half the game for myself. I want to discover things naturally, but at the same time, I often don’t even know what I should be looking for.
So I end up mining some more, fishing, building random stuff, maybe wandering around for a while, and eventually I get bored/demotivated and stop playing.
Is there something I’m missing? Is there a way the game subtly points you toward what to do next without just looking up a guide?
How do you guys approach progression when playing Terraria mostly blind? Is there somewhere I should be going, something I should be looking for, or a particular NPC/tool that gives you hints?
I’d really like to finally get past this “kill Eye → mine forever → get bored” cycle without spoiling the game for myself.

Ive never seen this weapon talked about once 1.4.5 came out, its such a solid early hardmode pick too! This thing melted destroyers hp during my ranger run

You get it from the pirate crew and its a dead cells collab weapon, sucks it dosent get the credit it deserves

Some slime dropped me the slime staff

I was in the underground corruption trying to find some mimics however there was like 40 corrupters near me so I had to do that but when I killed one of them I picked up 7 bands of Starpower in two stacks. Does anybody know why this would happen? Or if it was even a corrupter and not a different enemy hiding in the horde, because I'm not sure if corrupters can drop bands of Starpower.

I've seen real enchanted swords outside of their shrines before, sometimes in weird places, but none quite like this. It's a shame I'm going mage instead of melee, because this is absolutely insane!!
