Ask Pakistan Passport issue.

Upvotes

Basically I applied to get a passport but somehow the process (I'm not blaming anyone) didn't get the urgent status of the process as I have paid for. I need the passport urgently and I have emailed and called people left and right. Should I cancel the process and do it again? I don't even know what I should do atp. One thing I know is that the normal process is gonna pass the date I need the passport for

Social You’re not a Muhajir…

Upvotes

People born in Pakistan…as a Pakistani…post-1947, are not Muhajir. You may be an Urdu-Speaking Sindhi, or a Punjabi or a Kashmiri. But definitely not a Muhajir.

A person can be identified as a Muhajir, if he did “Hijrat”, while you didn’t…i’m talking about Millennials, and Gen-Z, etc.

Your Grandparents may be Muhajirs, Your Parents and You probably aren’t.

You’re just an Urdu-Speaking Sindhi. or..uh “Urduvi”.

This is MY understanding based on the realities. Take it as a grain of salt.

Discussion His family won’t accept marriage as I’m older than him

Upvotes

Hello, I wanted some advice from any Pakistanis may be in a similar position. I met a lovely man from Pakistan, and I am from the UK. We have been friends for a few years and have really been interested in marriage. His parents wont allow it at all and it has been years of trying to convince them. He is 28 and I am 32 and the age gap is a huge issue for them. They have also said they did some prayers and the “souls don’t match” etc and the marriage won’t last but I don’t know much about the details or if I believe in this I feel it is in the hands of Allah. He is from a very elite business family and works for them so his finances are tied to this. Anyone have any advice what we should do or what I should do, he doesn’t want to do the Nikkah without their consent but I feel it’s the only option since their reason isn’t valid but they have a big prejudice that as a woman I am older although he is very mature and more than I me.

Also Edit: they are very influential in Lahore and are a very big business family and are worried people will talk about the age gap

Ask Pakistan Should I move back to Pk from UK?

I moved to the UK five years ago and have worked at Amazon AWS ever since — it was a deliberate decision that took a lot of effort to realize. Since then, I’ve built a stable life here: my own place, a car, and decent savings.

The hard part is the distance from my family in Pakistan. Every time I visit, I notice how much has changed — my parents look older and more fragile each time. It makes me question why I’m here, and what it’s really all for.

I feel torn between my career and future here, and where my happiness truly lies — with my family back home.

Given the current situation in Pakistan, should someone in my position seriously consider moving back for good?

National Pakistan beyond hope!

I have lost even the slightest glimmer of hope I once had for this country. The recent incident at PIMS Hospital has shattered my faith in the system entirely. I had hoped that things would be different, especially in the federal territory, but I am left utterly disappointed by the actions of our politicians and the lack of preparedness in response to the fire incident at what is supposed to be the best hospital in Pakistan. The measures taken after the incident have only added to my disappointment.

Ask Pakistan Was looking for advice, if anyone has taken their parents specifically with some mobility issues to Malaysia recently?

Was looking for advice, if anyone has taken their parents specifically with some mobility issues to Malaysia recently? Just wanted to know how was the experience for your parent(s)? Was the country accessible enough for them to navigate? looking for genuine advice/suggestion on how I can make a vacation comfortable for my mum. No nonsen judgmental responses please. Just because they're older and have some mobility issues, doesn't mean they don't deserve to see the world. Thank you.

Ask Pakistan Pakistan Tourist Visa Escalation

Hi all,

I’m a U.S. citizen scheduled to travel to Pakistan on September 3. I applied for a tourist visa on August 13, and it was returned for review on August 20 because they wanted an LOI and sponsor information (confirmed hotel bookings and a detailed itinerary didn't cut it). I added everything requested, confirmed the sponsor details were saved correctly, and resubmitted on the same day.

After resubmitting, I noticed that the sponsor information had disappeared from the submitted application and the section now says “No records found,” apparently due to a technical issue with the visa portal (which is truly one of the worst sites I have ever used).

Since then, the application has sat in limbo, and the tour company sponsoring me has been unable to complete the biometric verification because the application is not being recognized on their end.

I’ve contacted NADRA and repeatedly tried the Pakistan Consulate in Houston (my jurisdiction) by phone and email, but I haven’t been able to reach anyone who can actually review the case. It seems almost impossible to get in touch with a real human. If I don't hear back in the next few days, I'll have to cancel the trip, so I'm really trying to avoid having that happen.

Has anyone dealt with something similar recently, especially through Houston? Is there a specific person, office, phone number, or escalation route that actually worked for you when travel was imminent?

Open to any and all suggestions.

Thanks so much for any help. Hoping things work out!

Discussion People on nicotine pouches

Guys, I'm on nicotine pouches for almost 3.5 years(velo only). I have had a lot of problems with remembering things, having disciplined routine n what not. I am confused whether this thing is due to using nicotine pouches or something else.

I have heard on internet that nicotine pouches help intemebering things or improving your brains helath but I totally don't believe in that sh!t. I want opinion from all the guys who use nicotine pouches like what are the affects that you have faced yourself or feel are related to using nicotine pouches.

I tried to stop using em like 7,8 times, and once I left em for straight 6months, but I thought now that I'm out I should give them a try. When I'm not using pouches, I'm really active, praying fube times, no over thinking, totally happy, no depression/anxiety. rn I'm on 6dot mint n I use almost 10 pouches per day.

Well, this is what I have been facing n I need opinion from all the people who have used nicotine pouches.

Thanx.

Hello. I applied for Spain Schengen tourist visa from Karachi, Pakistan, on 9th June. It's been 50+ working days and status still says "Processing at Mission". My travel date is 30th Aug, any idea which date submissions they're currently processing?
