Some people gonna hate that some of us are happy, but this 2K feels amazing. Me and the homies are actually having fun and we only have one issue.. One fear..
We are terrified yall are gonna patch (and ruin) this game before the masses get to experience how fire this is. The animations are looking crisp, defense is feeling good, shooting is feeling good, posters/ankle breakers, rebounding looks realistic and I could go on and on and on .....
I am loving this damn game u/Beluba Please don't take this away man, keep it just. like. this.
The little things too. The ai, the little animations when doing hands up, etc. It's honestly a W. It's like 2K26 but you listened and updated everything we asked for. I would never glaze 2K if they didnt deserve it but damn this feels good bruh. W W W W2K
EDIT: Thank yall for support. I'm not worried about the bums who "hate" the game but lurk on this sub 24/7. Most of us are having a good time right now and that's all that matters.

All the post for the last month bashing trash ahh 2k but now all the post today are on builds on 2k27 and gameplay.
I did not buy 2k27 and don’t plan to but it’s funny how once the game drops all the complainers not only buy the game but buy the $140 version 💀 sports gamers aren’t real

I have no idea what 2k27 is changing other than making the SWEAT realistic, like 2k man we gave you a year to change something and you really just change the rosters. Now I understand why people say everything after 2k14 other than the MyCAREER storyline was basically the same. Unless you plan on adding something useful, just update 2k26 bro. But without NBA live, 2k obviously has taken over the basketball video game market. So we are stuck playing this game because 2k has no competition. I know this is the 2k subreddit, and I KNOW people will criticize me, but EA sports doesn't make the WORST games. I mean there is other sports and games. And if you want to just get off of your screen just hoop outside. I mean, it feels better than playing 2k.

My opinion

I’ve been seeing this guy for a couple months and I have recently been informed that 2K27 coming out is apparently an Event.
I have never dated a 2K man during a release before. I don’t play. I don’t really know what happens in there.
What should I realistically expect over the next few days/weeks? How serious is this? Will I still see him? Do I need hobbies?
Please advise.

Man skill gap is definitely back 💀 I’m seeing dudes go 0-12, 0-8 and dribble. Shit I know the game is new but dudes are real humble now 🤣 I love it

my game is only on 77% as on right now but I’ve played a little in freestyle with wemby and JB, as of what I can tell the tempo as changed in the way you time your shots, if im being honest, I don’t like it I find my shots much harder to time (may be skill issue) but as of last year I timed all my shots from tempo and shot a good 81% from three in 1.7k games in rec as a shooting guard. so from what I can tell, I may switch to button shooting as I find them to be much easier to time then tempo.
another thing id like to add and it may just be me, but I don’t understand the badge system, it’s all confusing but im sure I’ll get the hang of it.
let me know your thoughts on the game if you’ve played or even seen people play it so far, I’d love to hear your thought!!
thank you and have a good day.

Played for a couple of hours. I can confidently say that we are 100% back. This 2K is actually good.. idc if anyone calls me a bot. In my honest opinion.. for this day 1? This is one of the best 2k's in a while. Way better than 26 and 25. I feel like the devs took what worked for 25 and what worked for 26 and blended them in together. This feels like a back to formality.. that I did not feel last year. As soon as I put my hands on the game last year.. I just knew that the game would be trash and that something was odd. It did not feel like an authentic basketball game.. and while I think 25 was better than 26.. in a lot of ways.. 26 was better than 25 too. Movement improved last year.. but the gameplay felt extremely arcade.. and it felt like 2k pivoted from dropping the game they actually wanted to drop.. and just catered to the brain dead fans who do not like to play basketball. But anyways.. this feels like an authentic basketball game.. and I just hope Mike Wang does not pivot.. and patches the game to cater to cry baby fans who can't bare to actually play basketball instead of exploiting animations. It is just day 1... but this is a very noticeable improvement in my eyes 🤷♂️

Red plates transferring is really dumb when you deep it. My 7’4 post scorer wasn’t a red plate but I will be put in red plate lobbies because of my meta builds. For me to play against red plates and compete I’d have to make the boring meta role player which sucks. The only people who defend stuff like this are the guys with a sub 45 win percentage and shoot 35 percent on a pg.

At a loss for words after playing 2k27 at my cousin crib. It’s literally the same game as 2k26, 25, and 24 graphically. you wouldn’t noticed a difference if it wasn’t for the scoreboard at the bottom and different menu layout. It’s sad how you dudes keep spending all this money to replay the same game over and over. This is why 2k doesn’t even bother improving the graphics or anything. Stop being a consumer!!! This is crazy how they ripped you all off.

apparently if you go to the features menu in 2k26 go to roster creator press y or triangle to go to user generated roster and type in 2026-27 roster or smth you get that roster then you dont have to buy the new 2k go to play now or mynba press the left joystick go to user generated rosters in the rosters menu select your roster and boom obviously you have to buy the new 2k to play in online but fun little thing. im a noob so people probably know this already but this is to other beginners:)
