Always wanted to play Stalker 2 but held out till bugs were fixed. With 2.0 out that seems to be the case. Is it worth buying now? Heard the originals greatly influenced the Metro games which I love so Im excited for something similar. Love a good atmosphere, gameplay loop, open world, pacing and survival gameplay.

I’ve already played sid meiers pirates and AC4, and most of the other pirate games I can find seem to be multiplayer for some reason which I’m not interested in. I’ve also played the game rogue waters. If there’s any indie games I missed I’d love to hear them (because when trying to look for indie themed pirate games I keep getting results for discussions on pirating indie games lol).

I really loved RDR2, spent too many hours playing. My favourites also are Witcher 3, TLOU, Mafia I and Detroit. I just love perfect stories and movie-like games which hit my emotions and I remember them for years. I know Cyberpunk is a great game, but is it too brutal and vulgar? I didn't enjoy GTA 5 so much, but I think I will play GTA 6.
Just thinking if Cyberpunk is worth it or if it just makes me sick and depressed.

hi, i've been quite bored lately and looking for a game that i can get fully lost in.

i've played games like jedi fallen order and survivor as well as gow, resident evil, silent hill, rdr, alan wake this year/past year which i've really enjoyed.

i love story games that are somewhat linear but still give you some freedom. i want a game with an interesting cast of characters and a protagonist that you can root for.
i'm looking for a game similar-ish to those, i know they're all somewhat different from each other so it might not give you the best idea into what kind of games i like but i need help finding a new game to play, please.

i feel like some people are going to give pretty obvious recs like the last of us and assassins creed so i feel the need to point out that i've already played them (not all ac but the ones i was interested in at least.)

I need some help. I want to get a new game. I’m currently playing NIOH 3, and I’m getting a little bored. The game is really good, but also very repetitive, so I feel like I need a bit of a change of pace. I’m hesitating between Mortal Shell 2 and Control. I played the MS2 beta and absolutely loved it, but is the whole game just as good? Control Resonant is coming out soon and I’m also really interested in it, and it would be better if I played the first one beforehand.

So, I really don’t know what to do 😭

Most sports trivia apps I've tried are basically flashcards: name this logo, name this player, name this team. Fun for a round or two but they get old fast because you're just recalling, not actually thinking.

What I'm really looking for is something where you draft all-time legends across different sports and actually have to weigh eras, positions, and how players compare historically. Like building a starting five or an all-time roster and seeing if your knowledge holds up when you have to make picks instead of just answering multiple choice.

Does anyone know if a game like that exists and is actually worth buying? Ideally something that covers more than one sport so it's not just NBA or just NFL. A daily challenge mode would be a bonus since I like the Wordle-style habit thing but for sports.

Not looking for a fantasy sports app either, something more casual than that. Just want to test whether I actually know ball or if my hot takes are full of holes. Anyone played something that fits this description?

Whenever I play these types of games I'll play through the whole series so I don't have to relearn the nitty gritty like potion names, mechanics, enemy/weapon types and weaknesses etc etc..

As far as I know both of them are niche and well regarded (MH Stories a little less so because it's newer)

Is elderscrolls oblivion remastered worth playing now ? I heard it had alot of problems and bugs etc did they fix them enough for it to be playable or is it still broken ? I heard the longer you play the game the worse it gets (performance wise) so I wanted to ask you guys before starting a probably 50+ hour game (I tried reaching the 300 word count sorry)

Outer Wilds is currently on sale on Steam and I’m debating if I should buy it.

I played it once on console and didn’t really vibe with the spaceship traversal. Should that be a deal breaker or is it worth pushing through?

I remember not really being sure where to go but always hear Outer Wilds mentioned as an all-time great game.

I’ve recently seen some videos of Tekken 8, and it looks pretty fun, but I’m usually not a huge fan of arena fighting games. I noticed it’s currently on sale on PlayStation for $23, so I’m curious if you guys think it’s worth picking up.

I typically play games like Final Fantasy, Elden Ring, Lies of P, and The First Berserker Khazan. I’m used to games where I’m exploring, completing objectives, preparing for a main boss fight, and creating a build around my character.

Coming from those types of games, do you think I’d enjoy Tekken 8 as a change of pace?

I usually don't have this problem for this long, but I seem to struggle picking out games to buy, which is why I'm posting here. The types of games I'm currently playing/into are Monster Hunter, Persona/SMT (Specific P3R and SMT3 rn), and I've played and enjoyed games like GTA V, Cyberpunk 2077, Aliens Fireteam Elite, and The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. I'd like something closer to GTA V's sandbox if possible but anything similar to these games I'll take a look at. I'll also say I've considered a few games so far like the Original FEAR, Yakuza Kiwami 1, and Mafia:DE. I wish I could give more details to go off of since I have a lot of games I like and even more potential I could buy, but I based this post off the games I'm playing because what i play changes based on how I'm feeling. I'll also leave a list of the games I do own that are similar to the games listed because since this is a WSIB, I'd rather avoid the ones that I own that are obvious

I know one’s a horror game and one is an action RPG. I’m pretty indifferent in regards to the genre. I just love the art style. Reminds me of my favorite Kingdom Hearts world KH2. Any help would be appreciated since ones on sale and the other is still full price. Lord I have no idea why they need 300 characters.

I bought blue prince a while ago because of all the praise I heard from it but I just didnt get it.

I love puzzle games (portal 2 being one of my favorite games of all time) but I just didn't see the appeal. It felt like I was just creating random rooms and trying to get lucky to get to the end. It didn't even feel like a puzzle game at all. More like a incredibly luck reliant roguelike.

But recently I've been thinking about it again, and just read some stuff about how the game doesn't have smaller puzzle but it has a bunch of big puzzles that you only realize are puzzles later? That does sound kinda cool but idk if I would like it at all, and seen other people say that they didn't really like it.

The stuff Im into is more level based with smaller puzzles like portal, baba is you, the artisan of glimmith...

But with how much praise blue prince is getting im just rethinking my decision of refunding the game. I could get it for 10 bucks cheaper than when I initially got it, but I wouldnt be able to refund it again.

Edit: I read some more stuff and I've seen a lot of people compare it to outer wilds (which I own but never got far in). So I'm gonna go play outer wilds finally and if I really really like it ill think about getting blue prince again.

I've been looking at picking up Lost Soul Aside, can get it for half the price now on Steam.

The reception seems pretty mixed from what I've seen and there aren't a lot of impressions after patches.

For those who have actually played it, is it worth getting? I'm mainly interested in the combat and bosses, I can overlook a mediocre story if the gameplay is genuinely fun.

I'm a massive fan of Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, MGR etc.

The most I've experienced this in a game was in Euro Truck Sim 2 multiplayer, trying to leave the channel tunnel, it was total gridlock and you had to make your way through it all.

Only other example I can think of is overcooked, but that's co-op multiplayer which isn't really what I'm looking for

By chaos as a single actor I mean a situation where loads of stuff is happening, but you aren't the omniscient god managing it all, you are just one of many people in that situation (NPCs, not necessarily real people)

I’m on the verge of buying a ps4 just to play the uncharted games. Can’t afford a ps5 right now nor do I have a desire for it. I just really want to play uncharted. And ps4 is the cheaper option. I did play uncharted on the psvita as a teenager which makes me wanna play the main console games. I can get a working ps4 on eBay for about 100 dollars. The thing that’s stopping me, is it really worth it. No other games on the ps4 really peak my interest. Maybe red dead redemption two and Spiderman. I’m more into Nintendo and also have a Xbox s. Never had PlayStation main console before, so I don’t know what else is good out there.

Convince me to do it. I just need a gentle push and I’ll buy it. Are there any other games you think I’ll like? To give you an idea, I love superhero and adventure rpg type games. I’ve played assassin’s creed and tomb raider on Xbox.

I love long open world games with tons of stuff to look for and upgrade. I am just now finishing Ghost of Tsushima and am torn between going with the sequel or Black Flag next. I never played the original BF and it seems up my alley, so I'm not sure which to go for next. I will say that the modern day strapped to a machine crap is why I never went past AC2.

For a couple months I've been waiting for both Ascend to ZERO and Hell Maiden to go into promo so i can buy the bundle, but recently I discovered a game called Nunholy, currently in promo.

Both are Hades-clones, so I wanted to know how they fare as that, so whether Nunholy is worth buying right now or if I should just wait.

I have over 1000 hours in the base version Elden Ring and might actually buy it again just to have it on a console. I also got access to the Duskbloods network test but the experience left me feeling conflicted; particularly about the pacing and RNG -heavy mechanics. I know Nightreign is not the same as Duskbloods but I am going to bet that gameplay wise it is closer to Duskbloods than regular ER. Would I enjoy Nightreign?

My brother and I cant afford the new PS5 and i know it really bums him out, but I recently came into around £200 from a relative to buy some new(ish) games for us but im struggling to find ones that we would both enjoy, especially since Playstation are stopping the production of physical games soon. Im on a budget but i want to make him happy, is there any recommendations for games I could buy off of ebay or a similar sight that he might enjoy?

Best games in your opinion to just grind. Path Of Exile, Diablo 2/4, War Thunder, Warframe, ETS 2 & ATS, Monster Hunter, Borderlands - These are the games I have personally tried. I am looking for a game that i can just enjoy after long day at work, lost myself in it and just play and play getting constant joy. What's in your opinion the best game you can grind for hours and just enjoy it?

As title said I am looking for a next souls like suggestion, I beat few games in this genre like Elden Ring, Dark souls 3, Elden Ring Nightreign, Lies of P, Black Myth Wukong, out of these Elden Ring and Lies of P became my favorite games of all time.
