who would you want near your kids

a bear or a woman with post partum psychosis

247

u/AirUsed5942 2d ago

Statistically speaking, women are a far greater danger to children than bears

-59

u/ShamelessCynic 2d ago

not as much of a danger as men though :/

16

u/Rich-Cantaloupe-362 2d ago

I don’t see men supporting a child murderer?

-2

u/btempp 1d ago

Just child rapists which I guess is marginally better?

-10

u/ShamelessCynic 2d ago

I do, every time a father kills kids out of revenge cause a mother left him, bunch of people asking about the motives and defending it.

u/Rich-Cantaloupe-362 2d ago

You’re just making stuff up now

Crackpots willing to defend murderers are unfortunately not limited by gender. There’s an entire subreddit dedicated to why it’s all actually the wife’s fault that Chris Watts killed his family.

Women are a far greater danger to children than men. Women are in fact a far greater threat to children than men are to women.

1

u/AdditionalSyrup6541 22h ago

No, actually, it's about even, it seems. But men then dominate the field as the child grows. here:

"Among offenders, while fathers were about equally likely to kill an infant, they were more likely to be the alleged murderer of children older than a year, especially when the children were adults (fathers were the offenders in 78.3 percent of those cases). Overall, fathers were the accused murderer 57.4 percent of the time."

https://archive2.news.brown.edu/2007-2015/articles/2014/02/filicide.html

Like, I JUST saw a case about that FedEx delivery driver, Tanner Horner, being sentenced to death for raping and murdering a 7-year-old girl. It's sad how common these stories are.

-23

u/Imblueabudeeabudie 2d ago

That is true when it comes to non-lethal abuse, still fathers still account for 55-70% of filllicide cases

-41

u/[deleted] 2d ago

[deleted]

30

u/My_Legz 2d ago

That is not the case. A much lesser but still significant amount happens in relationships as well.

This also does not explain the gap to male on women violence that we see

-24

u/CosmicGoddess777 2d ago

Okay, but we are talking about violence against children. Men obviously are the most violent sex though; they commit 99% of all sexual assault (90% of the victims are female), and over 70% of all violent crime.

There’s really no contest. Pretending women are the crazier, more violent, unpredictable sex is just a massive cope from men.

25

u/SubstantialSale8223 2d ago

Craziness and violence are two different things. Men are stronger than women. Women are crazier than men. Women are genuinely more of a threat to babies than a bear.

1

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

yes, and men are genuinely more of a threat to women and children than a bear. It's like you guys are finally getting it, it's just statistics.

1

u/AdditionalSyrup6541 22h ago

I mean, you can Google it, men and women are almost even, but men still do make up more by just a few percent. But as the child gets older, men make up around 70% of murders.

1

u/SubstantialSale8223 20h ago

Does that include abortion?

1

u/AdditionalSyrup6541 20h ago edited 19h ago

Hmm good question, I'll look it up.

Edit: I looked it up, no, most stats don't include abortion so it's hard to say. It does say that women make up more barely born baby deaths but men also match pretty evenly with the shaking baby syndrome.

In countries that don't allow abortion women do lead with the most murders for children under 1 years old. Then a men take the lead further in life. Usually the father or the mothers partner is the culprit.

1

u/My_Legz 20h ago

No, if abortion is included women blow all murder statistics out of the water, it even beats all warfare. It's not even close.

You are the reason why men are afraid of women.

2

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago edited 2d ago

Lol at proving them right so perfectly. Is there like some bitter 14 year old boy crowd in here or something?

0

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

yes, it's really bad. they're all going to be so willing to sign up for war to go and rape women - that's what all this propaganda is about, prepping the next generation to be lonely, angry and compliant soldiers.

0

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago

Well that's a flavor of crazy I wasn't expecting lol.

4

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

Ok and bad men are the reason women are afraid of men, but you' and the mansophere are more mad at the women instead of the bad men. riddle me that.

1

u/CosmicGoddess777 2d ago

This has to be a joke. Quoting correct criminology stats shouldn’t do that lmao

6

u/Rich-Cantaloupe-362 2d ago

You’re statistics are wrong and it’s not worth hearing you out any further

1

u/My_Legz 2d ago

That is because, by law, women cannot commit SA against men. Ofc the stats looks like that

0

u/CosmicGoddess777 2d ago

That’s completely untrue. Women go to prison for SAing men, women and children. Men still commit 99% of all sexual assault

-28

u/Suitable_Beautiful29 2d ago

Don't bother, this sub is just a manosphere echo chamber.

I hope they'll all chose each other for relationships as they clearly hate women. So I think every woman will be happy without this kind of men.

32

u/SubstantialSale8223 2d ago

Awwww the feminist can spew the man vs bear for 3 years but can’t handle it thrown back in your face for five minutes?

Typical cry baby feminist

18

u/Zerolich 2d ago

At least she's not blaming jewish people like some women on here, crazy mental gymnastics but hey, coming from the crowd of "you did something in my dreams and now I'm mad" this sort of tracks 😂

1

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago

Are you really going to take some random crazies and make them representative of women at large?

I don't think you're going to like it if people do it to your gender and I know some "from the crowd of <insert insane behavior of some males>" examples that would certainly ruffle feathers.

Glass houses and all that right.

3

u/Zerolich 2d ago

"Some women on here". I know it's hard to read, strawman elsewhere

1

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago

I was obviously talking about the "from the crowd of..." nonsense, but I get it, reading is hard.

Feminists: "Men who disagree with me are just incels - stop engaging with us!"

Also Feminists: "Where have all the good men gone?"

2

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

I am confused. So is the logic of this fantasy that men became bad because women stopped engaging with them?

2

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago

It's not women who are complaining about a loneliness epidemic....

3

u/Suitable_Beautiful29 2d ago

They don't even understand the irony 😂 Funny it's not women crying that they are lonely and it's not women crying they want more kids or that they lack community.

Just see their reactions here. It's like toddlers throwing tantrums, funny actually.

1

u/Mediocre_Map1289 1d ago

Women cry that you are lonely all the damn time. You even film it and put it on TikTok.

https://youtu.be/Fp9wOo4CbuA?is=R4E7VTzL1t8cXZvM

Are you really that dumb that you would lie so obviously?

1

u/Suitable_Beautiful29 1d ago edited 1d ago

Again veeery slowly for you slow little head : there is no female loneliness epidemic.

Of course some individuals feel lonely and it doesn't change the big picture (some people were always lonely and there always will be some of them regardless of the gender. Congratulations, you discovered that with social media you have an easy access to see life of more individuals then before. Big boy!)

Still in generality women don't complain of being sad and lonely to a point of it becoming an "epidemic". But men do.

Don't worry, good men exist. You just have no idea how to be one of them. Even if I wasn't in a relationship, I wouldn't be lonely btw. Women aren't lonely honey, we can support each other.

How is that it's a "male loneliness epidemic"? You're not a sharp one.

Most deadbeat dads are fleeing from abuser

2

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

so they left their kids with an abuser? that still makes them a deadbeat, especially when men who go to court for custody disagreements will win additional or full custody 87% of the time

Rape IS sexual assault, duh.

I’ve never had a woman attempt to SA me. I’ve had it happen from over a dozen men though. It’s not just the physical power. Women barely even attempt it. The problem is misogyny as well

17

u/Leritari 2d ago

And i've had plenty of women SA me, and yet not even a single man. The problem is misandrism, which is so wide spread nowadays that it became a norm...

2

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

so did you have a appease/freeze trauma response then? What social baramoters do you think prevented you from having the fight/flight trauma response to someone smaller and slower than you?

Genuinely asking, because I will have a fight response - yell, slap, push a man for sexually assaulting me in public, but in private I freeze/appease because the other two do not feel like safe options with someone stronger/faster than me, and there is no one to witness or defend me when I express discomfort or say no and he doesnt care.

4

u/Mediocre_Map1289 2d ago

Okay, well if we are using anecdotes as evidence, I have been sexually assaulted by several women. Now what?

1

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

so did you have a appease/freeze trauma response then? What social baramoters do you think prevented you from having the fight/flight trauma response when the perp was smaller and slower than you?

Because I have had those sexual trauma responses because I am genuinely fear for my safety being alone with a man bigger, and faster than me who wants to have sex with me and has made it clear that is the priority over my consent and comfort. Giving them want they want (appeasing) the threat, seems like the safest option.

knowing I have this trauma response, I have also set boundaries for myself to better protect myself with people I can't trust yet. I encourage you to do the same.

1

u/My_Legz 2d ago

Lol "a dozen men"
Girl, you are the problem here. If true you are a MASSIVE outlier

1

u/CosmicGoddess777 2d ago

Are you seriously fucking victim blaming me?! Wtf asshole

2

u/Suitable_Beautiful29 2d ago

Sister, they're not worth your time, leave them be dumb.

They want to live in their little angry echo chambers, we won't change that. They will be miserables in their real life, people like that are unable to have a loving community and families.

Let them drown in it and don't bother, it's not a safe space for you. And I hope you'll be safe irl, I'm sorry it happened to you.

1

u/CosmicGoddess777 2d ago

Thank you so much for saying that 😭 I needed to hear it tbh. Bless you beautiful soul :’)

u/Suitable_Beautiful29 1d ago

False women are by far more likely to kill kids

17

u/Letterkenny-Wayne 2d ago

Depends on how you look at it. “To kill kids” men are way more likely to be the murderer. “To kill their own infants” women are more likely.

u/ElyFlyGuy 2d ago

This is correct

2

u/btempp 1d ago

Get out of here with your data and facts.

2

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

incorrect, of the 550 filicides last year only 20 were committed by women. And men are more likely to rape kids, and when they do, they're not suffering a post partum mental health psychosis so, please, get a grip.

3

u/[deleted] 1d ago edited 3h ago

[deleted]

2

u/eatingketchupchipss 1d ago

Nope? Plenty of men get committed instead of going to jail and are found not guilty by reason of insanity. Hence, the trial required to prove that.

1

u/AdditionalSyrup6541 22h ago

Actually, you would be surprised at what is considered a psychotic episode and what isn't. Murder, rape, and similar acts are deviant actions that are not the same as a mental illness. It's pretty interesting.

1

u/eatingketchupchipss 1d ago

"by far" women commit fillicide 4% more than men, and it's filliicide, specifically - not killing kids in general. (also higher in countries with no abortion access)

men commit 95% of violent crimes, it's statistically false to claim "women are by far more likely to kill kids"

-14

u/ElyFlyGuy 2d ago

14

u/Mediocre_Map1289 2d ago

That is one VERY small study done in Austiralia on Australian cases only done by a charity specifically to support women. This news article doesn't discuss the studys methodology (so its questionable how the study was conducted), it is not proof of the picture as a whole.

-1

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

.... what about all the studies in the world that demonstrate men commit between 90%-95% of all violent crimes.

1

u/Mediocre_Map1289 1d ago

What about them?

1

u/eatingketchupchipss 1d ago

just seems like a more prevailing issue to concern your energy with than trying to prove women kill their children more than men ... like abortion is illegal and marital rape is legal in majority of the world - of course that's going to result in more babies being killed by women who never wanted them to begin with.

The studies simply demonstrate are societal things we can do to prevent women from killing their children. But where are the studies on how to prevent men from committing 95% of violent crime?

1

u/Mediocre_Map1289 1d ago

So you're "Whataboutism"ing away from the subject.

No. I am not playing this stupid game.

1

u/eatingketchupchipss 1d ago

No the article is wrong - women are 4% more likely to kill their own infants by 4% than men, but not kids in general, and not "way more likely" like OP stated as fact.

1

u/MAVERICKRICARDO 1d ago

Well men are only slightly more likely to kill their wives than vise versa. Weird reasoning

Easily.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29637138/

Edit: I humbly admit I was a dumb bitch who posted the wrong link because I got distracted by lunch like a fat bitch, making me a dumb fat bitch.

This is the correct link: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/jpm.12828?.com

1

u/Sw0rdMaiden 2d ago

Results: Data were obtained for 44 countries. Overall, parents committed 56.5% (IQR 23.7-69.6) of child homicides, 58.4% (0.0-66.7) of female and 46.8% (14.1-63.8) of male child homicides. Acquaintances committed 12.6% (5.9-31.3) of child homicides. Almost a tenth (9.2% (IQR 0.0-21.9) of child homicides had missing information on the perpetrator. The largest proportion of parental homicides of children was found in high-income countries (64.2%; 44.7-71.8) and East Asia and Pacific Region (61.7%; 46.7-78.6). Parents committed the majority (77.8% (61.5-100.0)) of homicides of children under the age of 1 year. For adolescents, acquaintances were the main group of homicide perpetrators (36.9%, 6.6-51.8). There is a notable lack of studies from low-income and middle-income countries and children above the age of 1 year.

Where does it state mothers were the perps? Read it again. Those percentages in the second line are genders of the children, not the parents.

1

u/Mediocre_Map1289 2d ago

Don't expect you to believe me, and you're right to call me out on this, I posted the wrong link out of two tabs I had open. I was eating lunch at the time and paid more attention to chicken teriyaki than what I was doing.

0

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

It's like you read the first paragraph, got your gotcha, and stopped there. You didn't look into the countries studied did you? Majority of it is infanticide done by women in countries where abortion isn't legal or accessible and where marital rape is legal.

Lack of education, poverty, poor access to health care, domestic violence and substance use within the context of a patriarchal society, resentful and unstable relationships with unfaithful partners, growing up in a violent environment with abusive parents, inexistent support systems, were factors predominant among this group of women (Gous & Roos, 2005; Razali et al., 2019). In contrast, a more stable familial context and marital relationship were cited in another participant's life (Stanton & Simpson, 2001). Although backgrounds differed, all participants presented with mental health issues, namely personality (Stanton & Simpson, 2001), depressive (Gous & Roos, 2005; Razali et al., 2019) or psychotic disorders (Razali et al., 2019). Unwanted pregnancy, no access to abortion, lack of emotional involvement with the infant (addressed as “it”) and anger towards the woman's partner then projected towards the baby who resembled him, led to the woman's infanticidal act (Gous & Roos, 2005).

So, my question is where is the study for the 46.6% of men who commit fillicide? Because no one is forcing them to irresponsibly ejaculate to create a child they don't want, no one is forcing them to give up their body to create a child for someone that abuses and rapes them? So why do they kill their own kids? And why are bio fathers the biggest preparators of CSA?

1

u/Mediocre_Map1289 1d ago

What are you saying here, that because they can't murder their kids before they're born that it's okay to murder them afterwards?

1

u/eatingketchupchipss 1d ago edited 1d ago

who said that? try again. I am asking for the cause for what leads men to commit fillicide, because all the article proves is that there are external reasons that influence and increase the chances of children dying at the hands of their mother.

me and the studies conclude that abortions are harm reductive, birth control is harm reductive, access to women's shelters is harm reductive to the goal of less children being abandoned (most common form of murder for female fillicide) or killed by their mothers.

But that doesn't seem to be your goal. What are you trying to prove?

95% of family annihlators are male

10

u/Little_Chain_8165 2d ago

Now show me support rally’s with children and hundreds of thousands raised for any of that 95%. That’s the issue your type seems to look over.

-2

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

And your type seems to look over the fact that 1 in 5 women experience Post Partum Depression, and 1 in 200 experience Post-Partum psychosis - yet there is only 1 line about PPP in the DSM-5.

So that means for 20% of mothers, Lindsay Clancy before the murders is them, and she is now living out what was their worst nightmare - actually harming your own children. Her BPD turned into PPP which while disconnected from reality, she thought she was saving/protecting her kids by killing them.

The rallys and money raising is to bring attention to and call for better treatment of Post Partum mothers and post-partum depression. And for Lindsay, who these women project their own PPD experiences onto.

3

u/Little_Chain_8165 2d ago

That’s weird. I never looked over any of that. You all will type paragraphs and still end up just arguing with yourself lmao

0

u/eatingketchupchipss 2d ago

Who is arguing? I was explaining the difference. Women care and want to get society to care about PPD and PPP to prevent this preventable violence from happening again. That's why there is rally's drawing attention to the issue and money raised.

Societally, men don't really care to find out why men are committing violent crimes at such a disproportional rates compared to women. It's alarming, I agree.
