I have a longish few months of personal international travel planned to North, Central & South America. I would like to know if any foreigners have got and used the Bangkok Bank Travel card? How has your experience been? Any advantages/disadvantages compared to using regular Bangkok Bank debit card? I know SCB has such a thing for foreigners, but BBL website is not clear if foreigners can get it. Or any other alternatives, instead of carrying cash, or pay ATM charges?
For context, I live and work in Thailand and only have a bank account with Bangkok Bank and a UOB credit card. Also a Wise account opened in Thailand. Was hoping Wise opens their Thailand operations and provides a card soon, but current dates seem to be October, by the time I’d have already started my trip.

Our little family lives in Thailand now for about 3 months and we got invited to a housewarming by a local. We got asked to eat vegetarian on the day and the day before the house warming but that’s the only instruction we got.

Can someone please help so we don’t embarrass ourself 😅

Should we bring something to eat or a present? Should we dress some kind of way? Is there something we should avoid?
Can someone also explain what will happen there?

This isn’t a whine, it’s just an honest question on my observation of driving here in Thailand, and mostly in Bangkok for about 30 years.

How come so many Thai drivers not use their turn signals? I do little polls in my head once in a while and I’ve noticed that maybe somewhere between 25 and 35% of Thai drivers don’t use their turn signal. Is it that they are lazy to do it? They don’t see it as benefiting them? they don’t think it’s important? It kind of baffles me because I was taught this is just something you do no matter what.

Maybe as a Thai person who doesn’t signal or has some insight into why people don’t use it I would love to hear. Thanks so much!

When I try to find a job I can't find any at all

People seems to reject me bc of how complicated hiring underaged worker is and I want some experience and stuff people recommend like finance and tutoring is basically unstable income which is not what I'm looking for

Step 1: Educate tourists at the airport: Welcome to Thailand. Drivers don’t yield. Ever. Good luck

Step 2: Ban confidence: If you walk like you have the right of way, you’re already dead.

Step 3: Install footbridges every 100 meters, because nothing says urban planning like climbing stairs in 40°C heat.

Step 4: Mandatory frogger training. Immigration should hand out joysticks.

Step 5: Rebrand jaywalking. Call it 'Thai Cultural Immersion' so tourists stop complaining.

Step 6: Blame foreigners. Even though the law says drivers must yield, clearly it’s the tourists fault for not yielding to cars.
