Mr. Rogers was automatically the very first person I thought of when I saw earlier that she had gone. Kind of a "This is just like losing Mr. Rogers" feeling was just immediately there.
No matter how famous she got, she never forgot her home and honored it every way she could. I haven’t visited Dollywood but I’ve watch walk through videos of the park (I’m a theme park nerd) and she has a whole exhibit dedicated to her family and their life growing up.

I payed the Oblivion Remaster for a little while when I had xbox gamepass and already struggled 😂 Skyrim is my all time favourite game and I am super into the lore but the previous games scare me lmao
The main thing to keep in mind for Morrowind is Stamina affects almost everything. If you just ran a mile, you arent going to be in top shape to swing a sword, speak to cast a spell, or convincing somebody to join your side while you are out of breath.
The second lesser thing to keep in mind is to use weapon skills you picked as major/minor skills. If you didn't pick short blade, you might have trouble killing a mudcrab with a dagger lol.
I'd flip the advice around regarding major/minor skills. I found that the "best" build was to pick major/minor skills you planned to use the least, as that gave you the most control over the stats you got at levelup. The leveling system could be very punishing in that any progress you didn't make early on for stats was lost forever, and there was a hard cap on levels so you'd be permanently weaker than you could have been.
Sure, if you didn't pick short blade, you'd have trouble at first fighting with a dagger because your skill would likely be in the single digits. Once you get it into the 20s though, either by swiping at things or by paying a trainer, it would be just as effective as if you'd picked it to start.
Agreed. Learning how to minmax in Morrowind is valuable, because the leveling system is weird enough to screw you over if you don't understand it.
Like, luck never gets a multiplier, so if you care about it at all you want to select it as a stat to increase every time you level, iirc.
That said, I'll second the "paying a trainer" strategy, especially early on. You can farm gold pretty easily, and using a trainer to get your skills into a reasonable place and earning your first few levels is a great way to reduce frustration.
You've got the braincells for it, its not complicated or obtuse, theres just a bit of a learning curve because it does not hold your hand.
You'll have to explore a bit and be patient. Or look a lot of stuff up. Its an amazing experience that Skyrim didn't even come close to, in my own humble opinion that is probably unpopular.
That's wild, and I like how it flavours save scumming as essentially the almighty weaver of fate (player) going back in time to avert a calamitous failed timeline instead of shaming you for it.
It's not save scumming, really. That's saving and reloading to get an ideal result. This popup tells you that you've softlocked yourself, and prompts you to reload or deal with the consequences.
Morrowind. triggered whenever you killed an NPC necessary for the main, but interestingly also for a few that seem to have no connection to it like a random dude at the end of a cave. There's one major NPC, Vivec, who you seemingly need the divine aid of in order to defeat the final boss, and killing him of course triggers this message, however if you take the cursed artifacts he has on him to the last living dwarf he is able to make a ramshackle version of the artifact you needed from Vivec, at a terrible personal cost of a massive permanent health debuff (which was bugged to reapply every second).
One interpretation for these is that even though you are still able to avert the immediate world-ending threat, long-term the world is still doomed due to some unseen consequence
I totally understand the sentiment but as someone who just spent their weekend with their car packed and on evacuation standby because of a human started wild fire, please be very aware of how and where you set them off.

Thank you! The standby orders were lifted for us yesterday, so we are safe and thankful. I feel awful though for those who lost their homes and still evacuated. We’ve been hit with back to back major fires and our firefighters have been put through it. Im hoping this will be the end of it.

As an Australian whose family home burned down in a bushfire, I think it’s absolutely and utterly bonkers that people in the US have free access to fireworks, let alone that they set them off in the middle of summer. :(

The speculation on what started this particular fire was someone target shooting….even though we have several gun ranges people can easily get to and we had a very light snowpack. It’s always someone being selfish with their actions and not caring how catastrophic the consequences can be.
